Bio
Isaiah was born on August 3, 1963.
He was born and raised in Houston, Texas, where he became one of the first graduates from Willowridge High School in 1981. At one point he dreamed of a professional football career, but later served in the United States Air Force and dreamed of becoming "the second "General Washington."
He settled on acting, however, and attended Howard University as a Theater Arts major. After college, he became an original member of the City Kids Repertory, a theater company that performed in schools in effort to bring relevant productions to inner-city youths.
Washington has guest starred on Law & Order, NYPD Blue, Ally McBeal and other TV series. His film credits include Girl 6 (1996), Get on the Bus (1996), Out of Sight (1998), True Crime (1999), Romeo Must Die (2000), Exit Wounds (2001) and Ghost Ship (2002).
His full name is Isaiah Washington IV. A DNA test to determine his heritage showed that his father's side is from Angola and his mother's side is from Sierra Leone. He married Jenisa Marie Washington on Valentine's Day, 1999. They have two children.

Basically ABC destroyed their own show Grey's coz they wanted to play wet nurse to the gays. Now they just cannot bring themselves to play humble-pie and ever take back IW, who ain't just the most talented guy, he is HOT! and was the mainstay backbone of that now spineless show. He is THE MCHOTTIE and they just failllllllllllllled to cash in on that ............he rocked that show and they are so dumb they never even valued him. Been 3 seasons back that people are baying to have him back on the show and the deaf ABC has no ears for the fans or any businness sense for their ratings either. What a dumb lot, after season 3 they gave a huge betrayal to the fans by taking away IW's job. IW deserved so much better...Meanwhile they wanna lap up to KH and TRK the two lil adopted godchildren of Greys. Now they are ready to clear out IF/ AFTER they are done ruining the show .....the jinx and the conceited diva with big mouths... shouldaleft in season 2 itself.......at least IW would have still been around !

Washington was fired bec he sighted the obvious about knight--now it seems knight might be fired or will leave the show--surely, the producers made a huge mistake by ridding their show of this character
