Alex: Chicken.George: Good chicken.
Meredith, Cristina: It's chicken.
Izzie: I know it's chicken! I wanna know what it tastes like.
Alex: Tastes like chicken.
Izzie: I'm having surgery today.
Bailey: Maybe, if the meds are strong.
Izzie: I am maybe having surgery today, and as such I cannot taste the chicken for myself. So I really need you guys to tell me what it tastes like. I need to nail down this dinner, so I can announce it on Meredith and Derek's wedding website.
Meredith: There's a website?
Izzie: So, can you please be a little more articulate than just chicken?

Bailey: Is there anything else you need before I go?
Arizona: No. You wanna sit a while?
Bailey: No, I do not want to sit. I've been sitting and lying down all day.
Arizona: Dr. Bailey.
Bailey: Holding a child. If I wanted to spend the day holding a child, I would have stayed home to hold my own child. I didn't do a single medical thing today. I didn't even put a band aid on a patient. I'm... I'm just tired. I'm done.
Arizona: Are you gonna tell your husband?
Bailey: What would I tell him?
Arizona: That it's more than just cutting. Pedes is more than just cutting. And, what you did today was heroic, and you know it.
Bailey: Ok. Maybe I'll tell him that.

Mr Smitson: I called 8 organisations and they have a wait list for emergency funds. I don't know what to do. I just, I don't know.
Bailey: Mr Smitson, it's time to stop now.
Mr Smitson: Maybe if we just go to the airport they'll let us on a flight. I mean, people do things like that right? For a sick child they'll...
Bailey: Mr Smitson...
Mr Smitson: No! Please don't make me stop. Ok? Please don't make me stop! Please don't make me stop!
Bailey: I don't wanna stop either. But, Jessica is terminal Matt. In a few minutes her heart is going to stop. Now, I can... I can pump her chest, I can push all sorts of medicines, I can put her on a ventilator 'cause she'll no longer be able to breathe on her own. But, even with all of that, she's going to die. And the last person who will have had her hands her, who will have been able to touch who was gonna be me, or a nurse. Or it could be you. So, you don't wanna miss this. This next part, she needs her Daddy for this part.
Jessica: Daddy, are we going to Mexico?
Mr Smitson: Yes, we're going to Mexico. Where the sky is blue, blue. And the sand is white. The waters so clear that you can see all the way to the bottom. We're going. Just you and me. No more doctors, no more medicine, no more hospitals. Just you and me. (Jessica flatlines) We're gonna go. You just relax, we'll be there soon. (Bailey turns off the monitor) We'll play on the beach all day, and we'll make sand castles. We're going. We'll be there soon, you'll see. We're gonna have so much fun. Just you and me. Just you and me.

Derek: Ok, clamp. I am ready to... no. Yes, ok. I am ready to buzz the superficial temporal artery. Tenting sutures.
Bailey: There's no rush. You can take your time. Everyone here is on your side.
Swinder: You sure that's gonna hold? With all that friable scar tissue.
Bailey: Dr Swinder! Ah, actually I saw Dr. Shepherd do three different craniotomies last month, each with easily double the amount of friable tissue. They held just fine.
Derek: Next, tenting suture please.

Bailey: Ok, as you know you have stage 4 metastatic melanoma. You have a lot of surgeries, and a lot of procedures lined up for you over the next few weeks.
Richard: We've seen evidence of METS on your liver, so one of those surgeries Dr. Bailey and I will resect them. We also lined up Dr. Parker from OB to harvest as many healthy eggs as she can before you undergo any radiation.
Izzie: Right. Babies.
Bailey: Just leaving the option open for you if you want it.
Derek: But our priority today is to address the temporal lobe METS on your brain. I'm surprised we didn't catch it sooner. This kind of thing can cause headaches, seizures and intense hallucinations. But, hopefully the legion has a clear margin so I can remove it all.

I will be prepping her for surgery, and if you are going into that hospital room today you will do so as her friends. Izzie needs her people around her. She needs you to tell her everything will be fine, she needs you to hold her hand. She needs you, not more doctors. Understood?

Miranda: Ah, Chief?
Richard: Dr. Bailey.
Miranda: How's your mood?
Richard: Meager. Anxious. I'm excited about Sloan's face transplant. I'm a little concerned about Derek Shepherd, but all in all...
Miranda: Do I look like therapist?
Richard: You asked.
Miranda: I've lost Hunt and Torres. See, I sent them to get Shepherd and I never heard from them again. See, I was trying to solve the Shepherd situation for you, Sir, but, It appears I've somehow made it 3 times worse. So, I'm telling you and my next move I believe is that I'm gonna call the police. Because, I'm half convinced they're all dead, on a spit, with a one armed man turning them into shish kebabs. Sir. It's my mind. It just goes there.

Miranda: What in gods name is going on?
Meredith: It's a personal issue, and we are just trying to give them their privacy.
Miranda: Do you think for a second I wanted to get involved with your little intern dramas?
George: We were not this bad.
Miranda: Oh, getting married in Vegas. Shacking up with attendings, cutting LVAD wires. You don't have to like it, but you have to manage it.
Meredith: Oh, we've got it under control.
Intern: (runs down stairs crying) Wait, I love you Megan!
