The scene where Mer finds Addie in the storage closet, made a conection between them. Mer remembers vividly that feeling and has compassion for Addie. I don't think Addie is wallowing in self pity. She took one day to drowned her sorrows (literally) and make a "booty call" to Mark, and then she was back at work, where she has to face her husband of over 11 years and the woman whose panties she found in his pocket. Some women wouldn't make it out of bed for a month, especially with McSteamy there!

McDreamy got mad when he thought that Mer had slept with McVet. He looked disappointed when she told him about George, but tried to respond as her friend. That was when she had given him the big speech that he couldn't respond like her "not friend".

Yes, he's cocky, but also he seems kind of insecure this season. I think he's as much afraid of being hurt by Mer as he is afraid of hurting her.
