trisha, I agre with 100% - Mer & Der are in such different places emotionally & mentally. Last nite - I thought Derek was a jerk and just wanted a warm body but after I slept on it I realize Derek shouldn't have to applogize for knowing what he wants and expecting to reach for it. Mer has a lot to work tru. She reminds me of a junior in high school who has found a great guy (marriage worthy etc)but because of her age and where she is in life - knows it would not be the best thing for them to get married just then.
One more thing - I hope everyone remebers that this episode went tru a lot of re-tooling when it looked like the strike might happen. I think the last few episodes may not truly reflect Shonda's vision. Let's not blame her too much.

Episode was good. Loved Mer & Der in the on call room. I hope he realizes she's trying to open up - not so sure since he said what he did to Yang in the gallery about Mer not letting him take care of her. What does he want from her - she's trying here. Loved Dr. Hahn's comment "pretty & prettier" - I think she and Mark will hook up.

Derek is just frustrated at Mer's lack of communication esp when so much is going on in her life. Mer doesn't do "normal relationships" but she's trying. I hope she "gets it" before Derek is worn down. I know Lexi is looming but I hardly consider her a threat - they may date a few times but Der & Mer are soulmates. They'll end togther!
