  • Isaiah Washington Will Not Be Returning to Grey's Anatomy (6/11/2007)

Hafsa, since you are a Mer/Der fan, I do not doubt that you think we should all just get over it and watch your couple. The fact is, I started watching to begin with because I heard Isaiah Washington was going to be on it. I started to love it because of the Burke and Cristina storyline. I became a faithful follower because of the development of their relatioship. I won't get used to it and neither will many of the people who have invested three years in this relationship. It was a dumb and unnecessary move. If they wanted to do something constructive they could have set TR Knight down with Isaiah and had them talk out their differences with both men growing from the process. Instead they have destroyed one man's career and supported the other's whiney victim act. I don't think it is going to be a good fourth season, but whether it is or not, I will not be watching. I do wish you luck with your couple, though, and agree that they need to stop Gizzie and let Lexie be a love interest for Alex. Alexie anyone?? Meredith and Derek need some lighter storylines and happier times before the just become completely boring and morose.
  • Isaiah Washington: Truly Angry, Contemplating Lawsuit (6/11/2007)

Right now ABC is spreading rumors to justify their action. I wouldn't put too much stock into any of their statements at the moment.

Sarah, were you there? Do you know that even Patrick Dempsey has said that there were absolutely no punches thrown that it did not escalate beyond a verbal altercation? People are crucifying this guy based on speculation, rumor and innuendo. I admire Patrick Dempsey for coming out in support of Isaiah. He has on more than one occasion praised him as an actor and a castmate who takes the role seriously and is intense and passionate about his work.

  • New BURKTINA, PRESTINA, BANG! (6/11/2007)

So many of you have been supportive of Isaiah Washington and the character of Preston Burke over the past years. You can imagine that I am really sad, disappointed and angry, as are many of you, I am sure. It is devastating that after all that he has tried to do to make amends he has now been let go. Learning from our mistakes and taking steps to change in a postive way is apparently not appreciated by those out to destroy him. I thought some of you might be interested in a project that the organizers of BangsAnatomy.com and the More than Coffee message board are doing to honor Isaiah. It began as a project for his August 3rd birthday, but now has even more significance. As some of you may know, he is very involved in making life better for the people of his native country, Sierra Leone. He is currently building a school and has provided medical supplies and basic necessitites to the people there. He also participated in the summit in Washington DC to wipe out malaria earlier in the year. To honor him we are collecting donations to purchase mosquito nets to help really save lives in Sierra Leone. I am posting the description of the project here. For anyone interested in contributing, please contact Vella at vcbellaart@yahoo.com. We are trying to turn something really horrible that has happened to him and by proxy to us into something positive that will make him proud of his fans, as we are proud of him. Although malaria has been eradicated in most of Asia, Europe and the Americas, this disease still kills millions on the continent of Africa. In fact, statistics show that 3,000 children die from this disease every day. The most devastating fact is that these deaths are unnecessary and preventable. Insecticide-treated bed nets can reduce the transmission of malarias much as 90 percent. Each bed net can provide at least four years of protection from the disease. Unfortunately, those living in poverty-stricken areas simply cannot afford these life-saving bed nets, even though the purchase and delivery cost of these nets is only $10 per net. The staff of Bangsanatomy.com and the members of More Than Coffee have made a commitment to make a difference in one of the countries in Africa plagued by this disease: Sierra Leone. From (June 1, 2007) to (July 31, 2007), we will be collecting donations. Your tax-deductible donations will go to the Gondobay Manga Foundation (www.gondobaymanga.org). Founded in 2006, the Gondobay Manga Foundation “advocates cooperative planning to achieve positive, timely improvements in the lives of the people of Sierra Leone.” The funds raised by our efforts will help the Foundation to "build schools, secure clean water, provide medical care, rebuild hospitals, and supply chemically treated bed nets that prevent malaria for thousands of villagers in Sierra Leone." Please join us as we take steps to really save lives and help the Gondobay Manga Foundation make their dream for Sierra Leone's future a reality. This is something we can do for Isaiah since our letters of support and letters to ABC and Shonda Rhimes have fallen on deaf ears.

Hi Guys. Have you seen the great pictures on abcmedianet.com? They are from episode 3.22, I think. There is a great Bang kiss. If you haven't seen them, go to www.abcmedianet.com, click on primetime, then Greys Anatomy, then photographs. So cute!

The magazine is awesome. I loved the interview with Isaiah and the article about Sandra. Lots of wonderful pictures of our couple. Now these great pictures for the upcoming new episodes leading up to the wedding. I hope all doesn't go too smoothly though because, well, you know Shonda. It if is all too smooth you know something angsty will happen at the wedding. I just want them to both be happy right through the end of this season. Let someone else have the angst for awhile. Right?
