Reply to PostI have a question. Someone said that Derrick and Merideth can't carry the show on their own, which I totally agree with. Would you also say that Burke and Christina couldn't carry the show either if it was Dempsey that left? Or do you think that their relationship and storyline would have been strong enough to keep it together. I feel that it would have. Then again, I'm in love with Preston Burke. Maybe I'm being biased. What do you think?
I also feel that if they bought IW back to the show, the ratings will hit the roof! They could build it up and tell us he'll be back and to stay tuned. Maybe not even tell us when, but make us watch every week so we won't miss the surprise return. Maybe they can have three scenes of him, first scene they show his waist on down walking through a crowd of people(we will recognize that walk) we won't know where he is, sounds like it could be an airport, we're not sure, second scene someone walks up to a counter and ask when is the next flight to Seattle, voice sounds familar, we're getting kind of excited, could it be? They don't show us who it is, just a hand signing something, hand looks familar, getting even more excited, could it be? Last scene, they're on a plane, stewardess walks down the aisle, stops, ask a passenger if they need anything or if they are comfortable, they say they are fine, thank you, still not showing who this person is, by this time we know who it is, it has to be. Person next to them, trying to make small talk ask why they are going to Seattle, (we are on the edge of our seats by now, they make us wait with a 3 or 4 second pause) the camara goes to the person as they answer the question, and it's DR. PRESTON BURKE while he is saying, I HAVE SOME UNFINISHED BUSINESS!! And go to commercial. By now some of us are jumping up and down screaming, some of us are crying, some or cursing because they are mad he's back. What do you think?.
