Reply to PostThe movies is based on the brilliant Nobel awardee novelist, Jose Saramago's book about a town suddenly plagued by blindness, a band of those afflicted overcome the horrors of the quarantine imposed by the authorities. Directed by Fernando Mireilles(The Constant Gardener), screenplay by Canadian Don Mc Kellar (a very good friend of Sandra), leading roles are played by Mark Ruffalo and Julianne Moore as the doctor and his wife. Sandra plays the Minister of Health, again providing supporting performance to the internatonally cast movie which includes Gael Garcia Bernal, Alicia Braga and Danny Glover. Hey Bay, Thanks for the info. I'm so hyped about the movie and Sandra being in it. Did you hear the writers are meeting this morning about the tentative contract.

Hi Everyone, Hope you are having a great day . So, Looks like the writers will accept the contract. At least that's the word now. But, well see. So, I been wondering these past few days how will this work out for the Grey's Writing team.
This is just a thought I'm throwing out here. Since we all know the writing has been less than stellar since the beginning of season 3, and when the last episode aired in Dec .none of the lingering issues/storylines for our fav. characters had been addressed. Just what exactly do they plan to do. They have no idea what to do with Cristina. Which if I were in their shoes I would not want my fans knowing that the strongest and best character in this ensemble that we have a problem writing for. From my point of view There is no creativity, orginal design whatever you want to call it. Are we to assume that this whole writing team all of a sudden developed genius brain cells to come back sit down and just start writing outstanding scripts? I DON'T THINK SO. If they didnot know 3 months ago, they still don't know today. So, at this juncture, I still have NO HOPE. For Cristina or any of the original characters. I don't know about anyone else, but, I'm sick and tired of being sick and tired of Cristina wandering the hosp hallways and NOT DOING SURGERIES. And Mer being treated like some weak,imbecile. Which she is not.
Mer is Ellis Grey's daughter and I Just wish the Jack a... that write this show would remember that. There is nothing weak about Mer.
Sorry, I'm venting. It's just so frustrating. I just wish they would listen to us fans since its obvious THEY don't have a CLUE .

One other thing.
When are they going to get back with the storyline for Joe and his partner re: the adoption of the baby/twins? How do you start a storyline and just leave it dangling?
When is the Chief going to buy a condo/House whatever? When is Alex's childhood going to be explored and shown? I thought a year ago Der's sisters were coming to visit? What about his up bringing? And where is tyler? His on screen scenes with Cristina and Mer are wonderful. And when will Mer find out her father is a drunk? Not that I care about him.
Well this was more than one thing, but you all feel what I'm saying. Will talk later.

I hear you Gloria and even moreso I WILL NEVER LET GO OF BURKE AND CRISTINA IF THEY DO NOT ADDRESS IT, IF THEY DO NOT LET CRISTINA DEAL WITH IT. They gave Denny and Izzie more weight after that bobble head's death, but Cristina and Burke get nada cause Shonda feels they were not the real deal. Sorry this is local television and it ain't who she feels is the real deal, that was not the perception of the fans of this couple so you cannot end a relationship like that, that we have been watching for three years with Mrs. Burke half-ass words of wisdom and her stripping the apartment that Cristina shared with Burke dry of any signs of him. I don't think so. I have no idea what they have in store for Cristina but once again I have lost all intererst in ABC programming. I can't evern pay attention to LOST, because I'm not sure I want Greys to ever come back on if respect and weight is NEVER given to what Burke meant to Cristina.
If all I am going to see Cristina do is listen to Meredith's woes on her on/off relationship with Derek then I'll be wishing for the strike to resume. Not interested and I am happy that JJ is no longer scheduled because I am not interested in Cristina dealing wih any love interest unless that interest leads her to deal with unresolved feelings regarding her relationship with Burke and even moreso her childhood.
Sorry Shonda, but her childhood is what causes her to seek out the men she has, it is what causes her to be driven, which is good, but driven to a fault as she has used men in the past, but that stopped as she fell in love with Burke. Shonda thinks she can just make Cristina some user/evil incarnate, robot and act like that is par for the course and has NOTHING to do with her childhood? Yeah, sell bullshit elsewhere.

Also,my perception of the last episode was that Cristina was actually going to start questioning whether being a renowned heart surgeon was all she truly wanted, FIRST AND FOREMOST out of life, based on her scenes with Tuck in that OR and based on Izzie's jealous rantings of yet again wanting something that she "THINKS" someone else has.
I have thinks in quotation marks because as Izzie waxed on about how sure Cristina is of what she wants, all I kept thinking to myself is it's just the opposite. In otherwords, every word that came out of Izzie's mouth regarding who she thinks Cristina is robot and all, sure of what she wants, I just thought of the opposite cause Izzie never knows what the fuck she's talking about and she definitely has NO idea of who Cristina is.
Cristina is not a robot, and that is clear to only like one person and that is Meredith and I guess you'd say Lexie cause the camera made sure we saw her reaction to Cristina holding Tucks hand.And I have never felt that Cristina was this young woman who was so sure of herself, to me it's all a front. BECAUSE for me there is no way you can be sure if you are not in tune with all of your emotions if you have only immersed yourself in a life of the technical never really having any meaningful relationships until your first year of a surgical internship how the hell could you be so SURE of what you truly want out of life? Never bought this Cristina is oh so strong and sure, please. So we'll see if this is actually the avenue they take, because a show worth a damn who had competent writers would be going here.
I'm waiting for the show to live up to the chorus of it's theme song:
"Nobody knows where you might end up, nobody knows....."
I expected the show to keep me interested because I expected in the end that none of the main five would end up where they had planned to, especially the interns like Cristina, Alex and Izzie who seemed so set on what they wanted. Cristina, she ONLY wants to surgery, heart surgeries. Alex, he only wants plastics and a blonde with big boobs. Izzie she wants a damn fantasy prince charming.
From what I saw in the last episode Izzie might actually start taking cardio seriously and not just as some means of sticking it to Cristina.
But again, I have no faith that I could get half way decent writing and character direction like this so, not excited about the return of the show, I dread it....

I heard last week that Joshua signed on with JJ Abrams. The last thing I need now , is to see Cristina with another man. I'm still waiting to see her cry. I also NEED to see her in SURGERY. Not standing around but, actually performing surgery. And I really need to see her humorious wit again. All of these things are what made this show in the first place. Like I've said before, Shonda just does'nt get it.

She does not get it, everyone who post on these boards are saying the same thing overall, and that is, the show needs to stop jumping ahead. It is not OK to move on and pretend that monumental things have not happened.
They keep jumping all around and I need to see characters work out issues and I'm not seeing that at all.
All I do is watch the show asking the same freaking question each episode and that is:
"Wait a minute, what the hell happened to..........?"
Because there is not connection from one episode to the next, the writers seem to forget, or don't give a shit, or are simply too lazy to to do the research on what charcters have said and done before so they don't look incompetent, so I'm left always asking the above question while watching this show.
Even SO said on GMA, but of course in the classies way possible that she does have to remind the writers of Cristina's dialogue in the past when she sees something the script that does not add up. But she's so classy that she added, that she thought it must be very hard for these wrtiers to keep track of all these storylines for each character. Gotta love "THE OH", gotta love her, cause I'm not making any excuses for them. I might have been able to cut them some slack if at least one character was getting good, writing, but no storyline is good, shit, they are not even storylines to me, they're like skits with a lot of holes. It's like I can't say, well at least this character has a good storyline so that must be why they're slacking on the rest, no. They are just lazy in raking in money for incompetence.
Do the fucking research so that characters development flows, they have it all on tape just in case they've thrown out the scripts. Shit, go buy the DVD's we did and review them because THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO EXCUSE FOR ALL THE HOLES IN THE WRITING. Have the interns that read the website boards go through the scripts and DVD's for the dialogue details that they can't exactly recall, let them do the fact checking, but cut the insulting swiss cheese writing, cause the viewers watch the show. We know when shit is off and does not make sense and I personally find it insulting.

Hey Gloria!! I know its been awhile, I will totally try to get on here more often though! Everything is good with me! my parents are good to. We just got home from a skating competition again this weekend but this was our last one! we are pretty tired though lol
Thats so cool u went to New York Gloria! I really really want to go there! Did u do some shopping? u ran into the crew of Law and Order? thats so cool! who did u meet from the cast?
Toronto was pretty good we didn't do much shopping cause I didn't have much money but we had fun we went skating on this outdoor rink it was awsome! and then we saw the Spice Girls!!! it was one of the best concerts I have ever seen! Mel B was soo funny shes my fav!
No I haven't heard anything about Sandra's new movie. I wonder where shes filming it maybe in Toronto that would be cool! I will totally come and see it when it comes out though! let me know if u find anything else out about it u can email me or I'll just check on here!

Hold up , Hold up!! The writers can't keep up with the previous weeks script. WHAT!! Isn't this part of their job and what they are getting paid for? Hello!! Are they Crazy? Well no wonder the writing is a complete mess. How can you NOT KNOW WHAT YOU WROTE THE PREVIOUS WEEK??? This is not a show about 20 short stories. Oh My Word Somebody Help !!! Well this is the first I'm hearing this. This makes no sense at all. And the stupid producers allow this? They probably don't have a clue as to what's going on. Where is Peter Horton? Peter we need you,please come and save these fools from themselves. Or at least come and save us fans. Well if this doesn't sound like some rag tail crap. The writing is rag tail all across the board now. Everybodies storyline is CRAP. Actually there are NO STORYLINES. To be truthful, I don't know what to call this mess.
I'm still stuck at ,they don't remember what they wrote from the previous' script.We the fans remember every word the main characters say from week to week and month to month. If this is your job and you work on this show week to week and month to month, How do you not know what is going on with the characters you are writing for.
And again this goes back to what I've been saying all along. We must have the original writers back along with Peter Horton.
