Hi Burktina Forever, all I know is that I keep reading about who is supposed to be in this episode an what is to be covered and I see NOTHING at all on our Cristina. I even see Hahn covered in this episode and she just arrived on this canvas, but nothing on Cristina. This is the eppy where they were foolishy going to bring on that Joshua actor guy who was supposed to be playing some guy from her past that she was supposed to rebound with, thankfully he is not coming, but clearly the fact that he was on his way to begin with is horrid as they STILL do not know how to write worth a damn for this character or for this show any longer.Posted 12/18/2007 1:00:00 AM #

Miju, The spoilers are something to get us all worked up about the show. I haven't seen any for the coming shows.If they don't talk about Cristina that doesn't mean she won't be in the show. Plus, with the writing being what it is. If they had an episode without Cristina I would be upset but not surprised. This is Shonda we are talking about. If she put out an episode without Cristina and included everyone else than I'd have to take that as a slap in the face to ALL THE CRISTINA/BURKE FANS. As I sit here For the life of me. I cannot think of anything Shonda can say to explain how she wrote an entire episode with out Cristina. The most POWERFUL ACTOR in the entire ENSEMBLE. Don't get worked up now lets just wait and see. Because if it does happen trust me WE ALL will have a lot to get worked up about then. BF, Happy to hear you had a grand BD. Hafsa and LaaKat, How are things with you both? I'll be back later. I'm tying up things for Christmas here. I leave thursday nite. PS: Don't the new episodes for Greys start in Jan? If the strike is still on that means Shonda will be doing all the writing. This is Shonda we are talking about. If she put out an episode without Cristina and included everyone else than I’d have to take that as a slap in the face to ALL THE CRISTINA/BURKE FANS. And this would be strange to you Gloria? Cause it would not be strange nor surprising to me in the least if she did anything to insult or not take into consideration the love fans of this couple. It would not surprise me at all, cause if she does not think a couple belongs together then that is all that matters, vs. if she does believe they do belong together, that it also ALL that matter, does Gizzie ring a bell. The only reason Gizzie is ending is because ABC stepped in I'd bet my farm on it if I had one, and that little comment from Gizzie about how it is the wrong time and not their chemistry is all Shonda and her sticking to her guns that SHE believes Gizzie belongs together. The woman has NEVER supported Burke and Cristina, NEVER, it is not where she wanted Cristina's story to go and Burke before IW was cast was not even supposed to be a factor past season one with the original actor who was supposed to play him. But she is most disrespectful to the fans of this pairing, she does not get, that it's not OK to tell us how this couple did not belong together because they were so unhealthy and Burke really did not love the real Cristina. She honestly thinks cause she says it, somehow that is how we'll see it. She should just STFU and write her crap if she's going to do what she's going to do, but don't add insult to injury and talk about it as if it was meant to be and the only avenue the storyline could have gone because she perceives the characters in her mind a certain way. This is where her ego comes into to play and it also shows how crappy a writer she is, cause if you listen to her on the podcast or read a blog of her, you'll be reading or listening along, well I will, and she's spewing her bullshit and I'm like OK, yeah you thought you wrote it that way, but that's sure as hell not how I saw it, that was not my perception. So her writing is never strong enough to even persuade me even remotely toward the middle of the line of her way of thinking and that's a bad writer. It would be fine if this were a novel, but on screen it's just bad writing because it does not get me to think as much as it frustrates me and takes the joy out of watching. She does not get that, that behavior and commentary from her on this couple is NOT how the fans saw them and she gives no respect for that and that's insulting. Yes, she sees the couple one way but it's not OK for her to try and manipulate us or have a nasty enough ego to actually tell us what or how we should see characters and pairings and this is what she does at every turn. The woman acts like she loathes fans of Burke, fans of Cristina and most of all fans of the pairing. At least that is what her writing tells me. She also has the nastiest ego, ego is fine, I like it especially in women, but when it messes with the direction of the character I'm invested in I don't care. Her ego is nasty enough to actually put out an episode without Cristina and not comment on it cause she does not feel the need to explain herself let alone to fans of Cristina. Have you ever listened to her podcast? The woman has said like two words in four years that were supportive of the pairing and supportive of Cristina the individual character. Heck Betsy Beers has said a few more words than Shonda in support of Cristina. She hates the character because she originally just wanted her to be some friend of Meredith and that was all and to pretty much not have ANY storyline except listening to Meredith. But ABC needed some extra seasons and that is why they brought in Addy and they went with Bang seeing that IW and SO had chemistry. But that was NOT the original plan at all. Now she thinks she can put Cristina right back where she orginally wanted her and I AM NOT INTERESTED IN SHONDA'S CRISTINA, SHE DOES NOT EXIST. Now if Shonda would just get that I'd be a happy watcher of this show again, Cristina became SO's character and she put a stamp on the character, and included things that Shonda never intended to include. But now that Shonda has "burned it all down" (insert me rolling my eyes), she thinks she can take folks back to the vibe of season one, yeah, sorry, you CANNOT go back. Wait, you can go back, but IT SHOULD ONLY be to learn from the past, to correct the wrongs from the past if possible, to find a sense of peace so that you can move on DUMBASS SHONDA. UGH, she's nauseating, her writing that is, just horrid it's not even good creative, character driven writing by IVY League standards, and Ivy League school is exactly where she spent her undegraduate years. Speaking of pasts, I would like to go back further into Cristina's rather than watch her coddle Lexie in another freaking episode, or try to get Meredith to dance so that they can get their minds off their troubles, while I get saturated with precious airtime being used on Gizzie. AND, one last bitch, if I hear Cristina referred to again as kickass or a survivor, I am going to f-ing hurl. They have that BS spewed out in the dialogue just to give themselves a freaking pass, so as NEVER to actually delve into Cristina's issue and vulnerabilities to have her deal with them and I am sick and tired of it, it's total bullshit and this is season four already. She's not kickass, THAT's MY FACT, MY PERCEPTION and I love the character enough and am interested enough in her growth, happiness and well being to admit that. I don't care if she EVER utters a funny line again for freaking comic relief on this lousy show, I want her issues dealt with and I don't give a you know who how they arrange that. Their the damn "gifted" writers of the supposed #1 drama on t.v., figure it the hell out.Get to work if this strike EVER ends and figure out how to get an emotional trouble Cristina where she needs to be. To me a kickass woman, is not only efficient at her job and takes no prisoners, BUT even more importantly she is honest and in touch with her emotions and know she has issues but does not sit on them and let them contiue to stunt her, hell they just had Cristina say to Meredith something about "knowing you issues and dealing with them are two entirely different things". I found this line out of Cristina's mouth to be a crock by the way, and just the writers once again caring more about Meredith than they do my Cristina as to have her utter something so introspective, when I know damn well she has grown but STILL is a far cry from uttering such introspective, mature, intouch with your feelings kind of advice. But they had her say it cause they wanted it to be said so Meredith could hear it and Meredith could not possible come up with this conclusion YET I am to buy Cristina coming up with it?! F-ing insulting asssholes these writiers. I'm just sick of them not truly caring about the well being of this character in any way, it's all about her onliners and them bullshitting that kickass line to describe her (insert me rolling my eyes once again), I just don't buy any of it and it is NOT how I see Cristina at all.Posted 12/19/2007 1:00:00 AM #

Hey girls! how is everyone?? Ok so did anyone else see on one of the forums about Blair Underwood coming and playing Burke! Thats CRAZY!! its not a true rumor this person was just saying she misses burktina and he would be a good actor to play Burke but the only Preston Burke to me is Isaiah Washington and believe me Blair Underwood is very Mchottie and he was awsome on Sex and the City but hes no Preston Burke! Isaiah is the one and only Burke no one else! if they did that I think I might freak if he did come on the show he should come on as a new character! hes a great actor but hes not Burke! lol Hey Miju! thats so weird! Cristina has to be in the episode maybe her story line isn't huge so they aren't saying anything which sucks cause I want her to have a better story line! I hate what the writers are doing with Cristina shes just there its annoying them focusing on freakin Izzie and George! ugh!!! lol And about that story line with Joshua Jackson was he suppose to Cristinas ex love interest or Hahns?? because if he was suppose to be Cristinas they might want to recheck the script because they have done that story line already for her with that Creepy guy Marlow! omg Shonda Rhimes is so annoying! lolPosted 12/19/2007 1:00:00 AM #

HI gang have not been around much probably because of my lost of interesy in GA. Seems that the life of a retiree is more full then I thought it would be. Just wanted to say hi and wish you all a great holiday season. BF I totally agree with you and the K freaking Heigl blabla. It is only about her isn'it. She wants to be in the limelight like we say she wants to be the bellybutton of the world. KH for me has no class and is always at the edge of vulgarity. Really don't like her never did never will. EP's awards are soo much better compared to the GG SAG Emy's and all the rest of those highly "commercialized" awards. She is appreciated by people who really know what acting is. Hey Guys, Just stopped by to say Buon giorno! And that I will see you all the week of Jan. 7th. But First I have to acknowledge Miju and BF's post from yesterday. Miju, I really loved your post you summoned up just what Ive be saying all along. Shonda has NEVER SEEN SO's talent nor IW's. She refuses to acknowledge SO as an talented, powerful actor in this story.She may have started out as havng SO as a friend for Mer, but as we all know. SO's talent just blew this character up to the heavens. And there is no stopping her.I know this really does piss Shonda off.SO's talent is not something that can be contained. Shonda should know that by know. But, like you said. Her ego is going to be the death of this show.Ive said this before, Shonda is not a good writer.Because if she was she would see what the fans see and she would see how the talent of SO has brought this character to a new meaning.And if I were the person writing this. I would step back and really look at the Cristina character and say, Damn, I never saw that coming. I would just change my thinking about how the Cristina character impacts this story line and make her and her issues just as important as Mer's. Especially after the writers and critics and fans of the character all agree SO deserves much, much better treatment in the writing dept. But, again that's just me!!! Pompeo and Dempsey cannot carry this show. Even the writing for them has been piss poor.The only direction this show is heading towards is the dump. A great writer would say about now. Wow, these fans are really on to something.I really need to relook at the direction I was going with this story line. I believe also ABC said something to her about Izzy/George relationship. ABC watches the rating and the feed back from the fans and the advertisers. I know they saw the handwriting on the wall. This is all $$ to them.If the $$ starts to dwindle there goes the show.I still believ Shonda's writing re: Cristina's character has something to do with IW and season 3.She is still angry about what happened and is taking it out on SO character. There is nothing Shonda can say that would change my mind about that. BF; There is no one in the world that can take IW's place. He is Preston Burke!!! If that's one of their ploys believe me it will not work. I thought Blair Underwood was coming to Dirty,Sexy Money. I see ABC is still running around trying to add people of color to their shows. They are pathetic. Don't get me wrong, I love Blair, it's just the circumstances I dislike. The problem with Grey's is Shonda refuses to admit that SO/Cristina is an intricate part of this show just like IW/Preston Burke was. Hola chicas, I pretty much agree with everyone about the waste of talent with Cristina's non-existent plot. What's more is that not only can Meredith and Derek alone not support the show, but they choose George and Izzie as an emergency lifesaver over Cristina? It makes me sick to the stomach, and then adding these new characters like Hahn and Rose and what not as though they can replace Addison and Burke from the first two seasons and make Grey's Anatomy "fun" again. Really, it's not. Each episode just gets more depressing than the next. BF/Gloria: I saw that post about Blair Underwood and tried to represent the wackiness of it all. I hope I did us justice. Yep they still are, just as long as the people of color don't overshadow their caucasian leads on these shows they are fine with it. Look I like EP, Meredith is Ok with me most of the time, but to me Cristina/SO is a scene stealer, she's just that good and no one can make me believe that she was not seen as a "threat" to TPTB when she started to overshadow. It does not matter what you give her she will shine, so the only way to keep her down is to not give her much of anything otherwise she will overshadow your lead. That is exactly what they've done. ABC had a hand in it all, they were fine with Burke and Cristina but that couple gained too much ground and ABC AND Shonda did not like that at all, Shonda being set on Mer/Der being the love of all time AND the only BIG love on her show right along with ABC and when they sabatoged that, Gizzie was her next big love and she actually believes this as I mentioned in my earlier post. Fact of the matter is SO is not an advertisers dream, not only does she not look like what UGLYWOOD wants her to look like, she is also NOT interested in selling a damn thing, she is an actress, that's it, that's ALL she wants to do, so they are not going to push her to the forefront because she is not willing to compromise her way of doing things in this business for years just cause ABC and UGLYWOOD are a bunch of whores. But this entire fiasco has CONspiracy written all over it and ABC is the most racist station in my experience how do I know? Well, I know that for years I've turned to their station and had to turn the channel because yet again I don't see myself represented in their programing or I see some stereotype of people from my ethnic group if they put one of us on their shows as some "token". They are not the only racist station but they are by far in my opinion the WORST. They truly stand out as the most ignorant racist, as well as sexist network and to think, they are owned by Disney. I can't wait till Audra McDonald starts to overshadow Kate Walsh, Audra McDonald is supposed to be what Sandra Oh is on Greys. She's suppose to be the "ace" so to speak, the supporting character to the lead but with BIG enough screen presence to carry a lot of the weight and charisma on the show. But the minute her ass gets to big and she starts to forget her place, no fault of her own of course, she's just that charming IMO, she can't help it. I'm not saying that Kate Walsh is not charming, oh she is, cause she made Addy a fan favorite and Addy was brought on initially like some kind of devil in carnate, a witch. So Kate Walsh has charm, but watch, just watch. Well maybe it won't happen on this show BECAUSE unlike PP, on Grey's Shonda actually identifies with Meredith and "damsel's in distress" like Izzie that I believe she is actually writing herself, especially with the character of Izzie who NEVER pays for anything. But I may be wrong on PP cause Shonda does not seem to have an unhealthy habit of idenitfying with those women like she does Meredith and Izzie on Greys so she won't end up JUST making Audra McDonald's character some sorry side kick who can't have a life of her own and issues of her own that need to be dealt with. She will continue to spread the wealth of storyline and dialogue amongst ALL the women and men even, on that show. Not only that, I think she loaded PP with more than one ace in the hole, Amy Brennamen(not sure of the spelling) is a force as well, I think she's an ace too. I'd actually invest in this show if it were one, on another netword and two, under the guide of another head writer. Sorry, but Greys was once great, because the talented actors had good writing and that all went to pot, so no way will I set myself up to see the likes of Audra McDonald and Amy Brennemen be wasted under Shonda's incompetent, mostly inconsistent pen, no way.Posted 12/21/2007 1:00:00 AM #
