Frankly, I was shocked that it was Callie's idea to go to Vegas. I thought she'd be smarter than that! George was going through too much when he proposed! I mean yes, I do think that he loves Callie... but they only got together again like a week before that. As for the Burktina side of the marriage proposals... YEAH! I knew she was going to say yes. There was no way that she could turn Burke down... although I will admit that I was scared for a second when she asked Ellis about juggling the carrer and a life. On the Alex/Addison/Mark front... what on earth is going on? Addison likes Alex, it's completly obvious... why go running to Mark, the little scaredy cat on the show? Seriously! I mean, come on, that bit about being the only attending left standing was just a ploy because he didn't want to go into toxic chick's OR. Addison could have gone running to Alex, he would have helped her through whatever she needed in an instant. And can I just say that he was gorgeous tonight! I felt so bad for Meredith at the end of the episode, coming to talk to Ellis who had gone 'back under,' for lack of a better way to put it. Tonight's episode was fantastic! I have mixed feelings about this episode. I am thrilled that Cristina said yes. I loved that whole scene when he realized she was saying yes. It was perfect Bang. Cristina is still Cristina and Burke is still Burke but they are getting married. I loved it. But was anyone else bothered that this is 8 days later? I have a hard time seeing Burke as being patient and waiting for an answer for eight days. George and Callie went to Vegas and got married. I am sorry about that. It really seems too soon and too impulsive. I can understand George. He's in a kind of lost place without his father, but I was surprised at Callie. Plus, I'm not sure he would have gotten married without his family and this soon after his father died. That bothered me a little bit. And, since when do interns have vacations? I also found it very unrealistic that they could build a wing on the hospital or even transform an existing one into a free clinic in 8 days. I doubt they could have gotten a sign made in that length of time in my town. People have commented before on Shonda time and how it doesn't always make sense, but this was the first time that it was evident to me. Also, having Ellis become lucid for just one day and to have her be so cruel again to Meredith. That bothered me, too. Ellen Pompeo was fantastic tonight. I felt so sorry for her. I also hope that Derek doesn't react negatively to Meredith because of what Ellis said. She needs him to be strong for her right now. I agree with the previous poster who said Addison was having sex with Mark but thinking of Alex. I just am a little uncomfortable with that. She seems to be using Mark and that doesn't seem fair to either one of them. It makes her just a little bit slutty and I like her so that is a little disappointing. All in all this was not my favorite episode at all other than Cristina saying yes to Burke. For those minutes alone I will probably wear our the tape.Posted 2/1/2007 1:00:00 AM #

so okay, callie and george married? i dunno if i like that..i love them together but it's too soon. Also, HOW DAMN CUTE WERE BURKE AND CRISTINA AT THE END? As far as Addison and Mark go, they're both gorgeous, but make up your damn minds...and I definitely like Addison and Alex more. yes the whole 8 days and $8 million to create a clinic is really asking the viewers to have alot of suspended disabelief. but then again so is the lucid alzheimer's patient. so i guess you just need to go with the flow when these things happen. if it pushes the story forward, so be it. the thing i'm most interested to see next week is derek's attitude toward meredith. ughhhh it could be bad and i'm so hoping it's not. i think addison was just so hot and bothered about alex that she made a booty call to mark (which she's done in the past) to try to forget about alex. obviously, it wasn't working. i don't think addison and mark are getting back together by any means. seriously, how could he go back to someone who aborted his baby, because it was HIS baby. i don't get why he even speaks to her anymore really. either he's just that shallow or he's just that in love w/her.Posted 2/1/2007 1:00:00 AM #

I agree with luvthisshow about the whole suspended belief thing but at the same time as someone who has suffered through the last days of a relative with Alzheimers I have to wonder if giving Alzheimers family members just a little hope, even for an hour, might be the cure that the medical profession can't give us. I caught something I don't know if anybody else commented on because I've only skimmed the comments... did you all catch the facial expression that Ellis made when she broke down in Richard's arms? That was _so_ Meredith. I thought for a second it was Ellen Pompeo. It was so BANG ON it was scary. As you can tell from my new login name, I'm obviously a huge Callie/George fan, and I have to wonder how much Shonda thinks she can put me through before I end up in a cardiac ward myself. The theme of the last couple of weeks seems to be "fifty minutes of 'The Perfect Storm' followed by George miraculously scoring a home run in the last five minutes." And WHAT THE HECK was her middle name anyway? Good god that woman is hot. If only she wasn't so damn tall I'd be her stalker. :) (Just kidding Sara... lol)Posted 2/1/2007 1:00:00 AM #

Do we all remember what a total jackhole he was before some writer sprinkled him with pixie dust and turned him into a Carebear? The reason (I believe) that Addison and Mark got together was for no other purpose than to add (even more!) friction between Mark and Alex. Sooner or later these two are going to lock horns in a capital way. In SO MANY WAYS Alex and Mark are cut from the same cloth and they are in MANY ways so much alike that that's the reason they don't like each other. Alex doesn't want to admit he's a jackhole (yes that's my word of the month) and Mark doesn't want to realize that he MAY not be as great of a doctor as he thinks he is, because he uses his personality as a shield - much the same way Alex does. (And he proved the former part about being a crappy doctor MORE than adequately tonight.) My *analysis* (not so much a prediction) is that Addison - who WANTED a baby with Derek - is going to eventually wind up in a position where she has to choose between two jackholes. The one who is on a pilgrimage to humanity and finding himself, and the one is happy as a bottom-feeder with a big mouth. I just need to say I am soooo happy that Burke and Cristina are getting married!!!!!!!! that was the cutest scene at the end, it was kind of typical Cristina saying she doesn't do rings(and i don't know how she could not wear that ring that was gorgeous!) and he says ur still not scrubbing in on the surgery and then hes like so does that mean yes?? and shes like yeah and then he jumps up and hugs her!!!! it was soo cute and they were soo happy again I was getting so sick of them not talking and being sad and depressed all the time! and finally they are happy now!! yay!! So Callie and George I think its waaay to early for them to get married I mean they haven't even talked about what happend with her and mcsteamy, and they were already fighting at the begining! I don't know how long that will last, but at the end I kind of liked georges speech about how callie is his wife and he wanted all of them to stop judging her, that was cute! but I don't know i think its way to soon. I don't know though. And I felt bad for Mer in this one I mean her mother yelling at her saying shes still a disapointment cause shes in love with Derek! i would have been so upset if I were mer! and then Derek got mad at her?! whats his problem? she needed support at that time and he didn't really give it to her, oh well i just felt bad for her, and then in the end her mother lost her memory again! that was so sad cause I thought this was actually going to last for awhile and her and mer could have talked like mer said she wanted to and ad a relationship with her mother. The most intense was with that patient! thats crazy toxic blood! omg that was nuts when they were all passed out in the OR, but it was a very interesting case! and ok mcsteamy in the last scene with addy looked HOT! I thougth that would hav been alex cause she totally wants him!lol but anyways this was an awsome episode! YAY FOR BURKE AND CRISTINA GETTING MARRIED!!!!!Posted 2/1/2007 1:00:00 AM #

I can't wait till next week! i didn't see the preview yet though! I'll have to download it tomorrow but I think the one next week its during superbowl week so kate walsh said this one is huge, like huger then the bomb one from last year!
