So in the preview for next week the girl in the bar clearly asks Derek if she can buy him a drink....the key question is, will Derek say yes? I think he might after hoping that Meredith would let him in, especially after fake mommy's death, only to see her revert to dark and twisty, tequilla-shooting Meredith.... I have a funny feeling Shonda and Betsy are going to have Derek and Meredith with other people before they finally get back together in that happy place. This is so frustrating

no no no, he has to say no. ill cry some more. i have cried so many freaking times this season an dim tired of it. susan's death was supposed to bring merder closer. and im hoping by next week it will. i think they are just trying to scare us in the promo w/ der and the chick at joes. as for burke, wow, im worried by his looks of uncertainty. we know there will be a wedding, but are they going to seal the deal? god i hope so. izzie and george. wow, that was passion in the elevator, more than merder's first elevator kiss, seriously. oh the spinoff, it looks like it going to be great, but i agree with you guys, i felt robbed of what was happening in seattle. surfer dude was pretty sexy though and so was pete. i just hope he really falls for addie and can commit bc he's so sweet and sexy.

Yeah, George and Izzie in the elevator was fantastic...the chemistry is amazing, but I think that's because Shonda had us warm up to both of them as being best friends....I think too that in real life we all hear that our spouse is supposed to be our "best friend" and so when we see it with George and Izzie, it's very appealing.

So... seriously? Did Derrick really walk away. She needs him, like really needs him. But you are right, she made her own family, support system when he walked away. Yes she was drinking but not in a bar, she wasn't doing to get drunk and have sex with inappropriate men. So yes dark and twisty, but I don't blame her, she lost her fake mommy. I am glad to see that She did talk to him but sad that he walked away. ( Iknow a lot of this MUST have been said but I just got the chance to logon) I think the new show and GA didn't mesh well. I have a newbie that since Easter has watched all episodes up to last night, and she agreed they didn't mesh well. It might be funny but not all wrapped up in Grey's. I hope Derrick doesn't do what I thought it looked like he was going to do. Be with someone else. I don't know how much more damage Mer can take.. Next week will be interesting...

Oh and I have to agree I loved Izzie and George in the elevator... and it was funny after hearing Addison describe the elevator to whats his name Tim Dayle's character. And they were soooooooo close to getting busted!! I don't want George to go to Mercy West!

I swear if Derek leaves Meredith again for someone else, Meredith will be wishing she would have drowned!

OK, I couldn't read through all 31 pages of this discussion, but isn't Derrick really just finding excuses to distance himself from Meredith so he can get the chief's job? I think overall he's an incredibly selfish, self-absorbed guy. I used to think he was Mr. Wonderful sensitive guy. I don't think he's intentionally cruel but he runs on emotion so much, like having sex with Meredith during the "prom" even though he was trying to reconcile with Addison. I think I started disliking him the most when he threw Addison out into the rain and locked the door when they flashed back to her adultery. Like he's Mr. Perfect and had nothing to do with her needing companionship from someone else. So of course, by the time Meredith is ready to be emotionally available, he no longer is, because the Chief doesn't want to put Meredith & Derrick through the same thing his own marriage went through.

I think some of you are double standarding everything. You're saying that you'll be so pissed if Derek cheats on Meredith with this girl in the bar but yet its okay for George and Izzy to be kissing in the elevator when he is already very married to Callie. While yes, I agree George and Izzy are cute together, isn't it still wrong and as wrong as if Derek were to kiss/sleep with that girl in the bar??? The other thing is with the whole spin-off thing, I think that it needs to be given another chance and that usually when new shows pop up, that people are usually iffy about it but then usually end up liking it later. I do agree that it would have been better if they would have kept it in 2 separate episodes and gave us all the chance to have a full hour of Grey's and then a full hour of Private Practice.

Did you listen to the podcast? These women are so self-content it pissed me off. Seriously over so said one year (that's what Shonda says in the podcast) we had 4 deaths directly connected to the interns 2 serious accidents (train and ferry) 1 resident had a baby + the husband who had also an accident 1 explosion 1 chief's tumor 1 head of department shot 1 abortion for Addie 1 alzheimer 1 dead dog 1 pregnant sister 1 wife that comes back 1 manwhore 1 appendicitis 1 near death experience 1 extra uterine pregnancy 1 chemical story Break ups, reconciliations, triangles, come on that's just a little bit too much over 12 months etc etc this is just so unreal. Actually we have been watching a soap. Now this stupid spinn-off Shonda definitely is going nuts. The good thing is that I will not be anxious to see season 4.

Thats not necessarily too much to happen in one year. Think about how many people it involved. Now if it only involved one person, that would definitely be bogus.
