I need to vent, so this could be a long post, but I hope anyone who reads it will take it for what it's worth. I've been lying. I've been lying when I come on here and say things like what a great episode blah blah blah. It's not that the episodes are bad, especially compared to those depressing episodes we had to endure at the end of the last season. I've been lying when I have said that Grey's is back, because it's not and tonight's episode proved it. Everyone posting on this site fell in love with the show either during the first season or in the second season. I didn't watch the show at all during the first season, I didn't even know it really existed. But, I saw the Super Bowl episode, went out and bought the 1st season DVD, downloaded the episodes I hadn't seen during the second season, and I was hooked, I literally couldn't stop watching. I needed more after every episode, I craved for each Sunday night at 10 when I could escape for an hour into the coolest show I had ever seen. Season 2 couldn't have provided us with a better cliffhanger, with Denny dying and MerDer getting back together. But something changed in the 3rd season, there were too many problems. The show became totally about the doctors and was not at all about cool medical cases. Sure, there were cool cases, but they all were trumped by someones personal problems. Whether it was MerDer, Burktina, O'Callie, O'Izzie, Mark and Addy, Chief and Adele, Izzie and Alex, Alex and Ava, you get the point. Every episode something was wrong and it would take the central storyline and that would be it. This season, two of the best actors and characters on the show are gone, and in all the commercials we saw the words, "everything changes", which leads me to ask what has changed? Yes, there is no Burke and there is no Addy, but what else is different? We've got drama with George and Izzie and Callie and MerDer problems. Sure, it's a little less drama than last season, but guess what, Ava is coming back next episode, I'm sure that will go over easily. The show says that everything is going to change, Shonda promised that we'd get back to the fun, but it hasn't happened. If I'm Shonda, and I see that the show has lost 5 MILLION VIEWERS from last season and is losing more week after week, I would say that it would be time to go back to the way things used to be. Have Meredith tell us what the theme of the episode is going to be in the intro, bring in great medical cases with great guest stars and focus on them, have the personal issues with whoever, add some humor, show what happens to these patients during surgery, then have Mer tell us the lesson at the end of the episode. I mean, look at tonight's cases, you had a lady who the old intern, which by the way was an idea they stole from Scrubs, tell the wrong person they were going to die and you had another guy which was basically a metaphor for Callie, although I did think that case was interesting, and then you had the Chief's niece which was fine, but they all came back to these personal issues. The old guy loses the lady which leads to Mer not being able to yell at him which leads to Mark calling Mer an intern which leads to Der realizing that Mer was a relationship intern? Really? You had the guy trying to make his girlfriend into something she wasn't which led Callie to realize that George may have done the same thing and then you had Camille telling Richard that she wants to die which leads to his problem with Adele. Also we had that abused kid or whatever which was a metaphor for how Cristina teaches her interns. Not everything has to be about the doctors, not everything has to be a metaphor. I will tune in week after week, but all I'm asking is to not see another episode of General Hospital, because that is what the show has turned into. The best way to change the show would be to go back to how it was during the first and second seasons. Just add some more humor, make it a bit lighter, and get rid of some of the drama. Not all of the drama, because some drama is good, but don't go overboard with the drama. Also, I've been lying about liking O'Izzie. I liked them together at first because I sort of predicted it correctly a while ago, but I just don't think they work together. Anyway, sorry about the long post.

I think I liked that Episode the most of season 4. I felt bad for Callie, just wanting to talk to Iz and she stood there all ready to fight and everyone watching what will happen. It must have been so humiliating for Callie when it should have been for Izzie. I also loved their talk afterwards. Callie was right with everything she said but then again I also felt sorry for Izzie since she's in love with George. I have no idea where this will be going. I somehow can't picture George and Izzie together but then again I can't see George sticking with Callie either. I loved the last scene with Callie and George standing in the rain. It's not something you can just forgive in a matter of hours and I think Callie needed to realize that in the first place and I think the talk she had with Izzie made her realize it. As for Mer and Der. It is somehow going on my nerves. I feel like I'm caught on Desperate Housewives with that never ending Susan/Mike relationship-non-relationship. I can't stand those things. Either you wanna be together or not. it's not so hard to get that straight. Alex. I didn't like how he judged Izzy. He's pretty much the last one to open his mouth in love matters, seriously.

I think it's so interesting to see how differently all of us react to "our" show. Everyone is entitled to their feelings and its so great because, at least for me, it forces me to look at things through someone else's eyes. All of you raise some valid points and real emotion. That's what's so interesting about this forum. So I tried to download the podcast this morning but the link wasn't working. Did anyone have this problem? As for Mer/Der...I understood where the writers were coming from after I read the blog. It really is true about waiting for someone... we all have our breaking point ... life is too short to wait for something that may never come. And don't get me wrong... Derek will wait ... as long as he can ... but we've only got one life and at a certain point we need that life to be fulfilled ... we can't wait forever because we don't have forever ... eventually people have to move on even if it means giving up the one thing we love the most. Ok that was understanding me. The thought of Derek kissing someone other than Meredith makes we want to hurl. The "potential" new love interest who we know is going to be played by lauren Stamile may be pretty and I'm sure her character is nice but really, uuuggghhhhh!!!! I eventually liked Addy, but I never liked it when she was intimate with Derek, yuck. And I find the difference with Addi and Derek was that we knew from the moment he chose Addi that it was out of obligation and not because he was in love with her, therefore we knew it was never going to work. We don't have that this time and we don't know if Meredith will get it together in time to find Derek still waiting. It's a much more open possibility if that makes any sense. Well, I better get back to work ... and take some Rolaids, now that I just got myself all worked up again. You'd think I'd be better at this... Ahhhh the emotions of it all. Good thing its drinks with the ladies tonight.

Oh and one more thing... I don't agree with the blog about forgiveness ... I haven't forgiven my ex ... I've moved on, but forgiven no...and I don't lose sleep over it either. Guess that's what makes us all so different. Clearly I'm not as pure of heart as Allan! LOL

I did have problems with the podcast too! I also find it really interesting the way people are taking the show. I am sorry so many are not liking it. I am really loving it. I feel like I am in the middle of a great book and anything can happen.
