what i really want this show to do is for once have a married couple like Burke and Cristina and hit on the likes and dislikes of married people out there in the world! it the writers are as creative, like what i have read they shoudln't keep breaking and making up couples but keep them together and make a much more interesting play off that. Life is as complicated as it is without having to deal with cheating men, women who have no time to date and running out of time, women who can't find the right man, etc. i know it's Shonda's story. but it wouldn't hurt to see some of those other side of life (beyond misery, despair, and emptiness) but bring on the drama and excitement that comes into real life scenariosPosted 5/8/2007 1:00:00 AM #

Well I have started to rewatch the 3rd season, I downloaded every episode so far. It was interesting seeing the first on again. You can really see how much Burke means to Cristina, she asks him not to every die. I can see them actually making through the wedding ceremony. Derek told Mer that he loves her and wants to be with her and Finn told her that Derek would hurt her. Makes me wonder if they are going to let Derek get involved with McBar girl. The thing is, it just seems out of character for Derek. He is the kind of guy that commits and stays, even if it is not great (like with Addy, before she cheated). I am just hoping that the lack of DerMer news in the spoilers and the episode descriptions is a good thing. I want to see them grow together in the coming season!Posted 5/8/2007 1:00:00 AM #

I'm sure you are right McDreamy 02. The writing and character development has been too sophisticated so far for the Meredith/Derek relationship to seperate.There's always been a choice between talking and silent communication for Meredith and Derek and they are changing that balance. There is a lot of material in that to write about so introducing another love triangle involving them would actually be tedious and dull writing, not to mention lacking in creativity and imagination.No offence inteneded, Shonda.Posted 5/8/2007 1:00:00 AM #

Yeah, the first episode reminded me that Meredith says she is an avoider, she avoids things. I just hope that she will not continue to avoid talking and sharing with Derek. Even though she is an avoider, with Derek from the start she wanted to know about his closet and personal things,favourite icecream etc. Meredith and Derek both have dark sides which makes them able to put up with more misery than others I think. She wanted to know those things about Derek, but has not been as open with her feelings all the time. She does turn to Tequila more than Derek. I think that it could be Cristina that does not do as well. She is the one that it would affect the most.Posted 5/8/2007 1:00:00 AM #

I've never heard skanky before,but that might just be me. I'm still Merediths person though I know what you mean and it is taking a LOOOOONG time for the dermer to be in the same place at the same time breathing the same breath.
