Maybe this has already been talked about...I just saw it mentioned over at TvoP... Derek's father committed suicide??? Did we know that already? I know he is from a close knit family with 4 sisters...but I didn't remember the father suicide bit... That would explain SOOOO much about their current state, and the "can't breathe for you". WHAT??? WHAT??? WHAT?? WHAT??? He would have reacted much different to Meredith's bathtub scene - he would have been all alarmed and not say just for the record, I am your knight in shining whatever. That would be totally overdone, but on the other hand, a woman getting pregnant at 52 is pretty much overdone as well (even though there is a tiny possibility this could happen, but could this happen to Adele, she is not that kind of person) Did you notice Derek has 4 sisters, 9 nieces and 4-5 nephews (season 1, episode 8?) and one of his sisters we met and she doesn't have any kids - makes a pretty crowd for the rest of them. He wouldn't try to make Mer jealous, he wouldn't be so much without sensitivity, he wouldn't - would he? What is Bailey going to be - not Chief but Chief Resident - what is the difference on that one and who was Chief Resident before? Hello everyone...Burktina Forever, Purplemerder, Ausfan, Brianna, Angie, McDreamy02, Pschyrembel, Lliana, MJ, and all my GA buddies. I'm sorry I haven't been able to be here for awhile. My 25 year-old son was seriously injured two weeks ago, and I have been away from home to be with him (still am). I've been able to watch Grey's, but haven't had time to be on Insider. My son is making a good recovery now and I can post alittle. I will be returning home Thursday, FINALE DAY, and will be home in time to see the show. About the last episode--I know MerDer fans are feeling letdown. Bang fans must feel cheated at how little time has been given to Burke and Cristina's wedding plans. But I have to say, I still feel optimistic about the finale. When I think of Season 2 finale, it was terribly romantic for MerDer, satisfying for Burktina, and (I thought) rewarding for us all. I have believed for weeks that this tumultuous ride we've been on has a great deal to do with money and ratings. GA may be Shonda's baby, but she is not unaffected by the pressure to insure huge ratings for ABC's #1 show. The plot twists are keeping Grey's high profile, but I do think that it will come out ok. I will be surprised if Shonda does not write the finale herself. Shonda has a knack for giving very satisfying reward, and throwing things into an uproar, all at the same time. I think there will be a marriage for Burktina, and possibly something really good for MerDer. I can see us feeling gloriously happy, and crazy for season 4 when its over. THINK POSITIVE! Rose, Sorry for your pain. Happy to hear your son is recovering well. I loved you post re: being optimistic about GA. I've been on a crying roller coaster for the past few weeks. I am excited about next week. And I will think positive!!!. What is this about Der's father. He has never mention a dad before. He only talks about his sisters and nieces ,nephew's. I don't know where this Dad thing is coming from.Isn't his mother suppose to be coming to SGH for some sort of treatment? Aww hey rose! I hope your son is ok! but I am glad he is having a good recovery! I haven't been on here in awhile because I just got my wisdom teeth out on thursday but I have been going soo crazy by not being able to talk to any of you guys! lol So I'm kind of worried for next week about the burktina wedding I just want them to get married and be happy! I hope shonda lets them! And I saw the pics on greys-media but I'm not too worried cause Burke and Cristina are talking and Burke doesn't look mad or anything so I'm just hoping thats a good sign and I'm trying to stay positive for my fav couple! lol And for merder I'm sorry but I saw the previews for next week and what is with Derek??? I mean mers fake mommy died, her father slaps her, and then her father tells her that its her fault susan is dead! and then Derek says to her in next weeks episode I met a girl and then mer says should I be worried and he says yeah maybe you should??!!! i´m having a bad time trying to keep positive about this hole MerDer,Burktina & Gizzie thing or whatever...i mean...SERIOUSLY!!!...But you guys are right...I gotta try harder...
