Meredith talked to Derek and that is good. I think that the problem is, is that she waited too long. I will stay up front that I think that they will work it out, but it will take time. It made sense for Derek to feel out of place when he showed up at the house. He did say no to Meredith and she had to make a life and family for herself to fall back on. He is still on the outside of that. Also, I think that he is still not totally sure that Meredith is up for this. I think that they are playing with the previews for next week. I think that they all at Joe’s for the Bachelor Party and that is where the girl ask Derek about the drink. The pictures from that episode already showed them there. I think that Derek is tired of trying so hard all the time and moving so slow. I think that Derek has learned when Meredith needs her space. Remember him hovering, she did not like that and when Meredith was slapped and Derek tried to stop her, she told him not now, or something like that. When he saw her in th house, I think that he realized that she need some space to just be and not worry about relationship stuff. Fake-mommy just died, and that is going to be hard for her. He may wait to let her come to him. Meredith has told Derek that she does not know how to have a normal relationship. She is so use to protecting herself and fending for herself. She will only let people in so far. For her when bad things happen, you shut people out and drink. Derek has tried so hard to help Meredith to open up to him. He wants to share in her life’s ups and downs. She was just starting to open to him and then he comes over and finds her with her friends drinking. He may be letting her have her space and that is good. But you notice he was literally on the outside looking in. It is like Meredith has closed down to him again. I am sure that it is exhausting him, putting himself on the line, over and over to be rejected. He loves her, but some people can only take so much rejection. I think that Derek and Meredith, because the show is about Meredith, will take longer to be together than the other couples. But I also think that they are building, each year, towards them being the kind of people that can have a healthy, real and life long relationship. When you take two people as damaged as Meredith and Derek, it is going to take a lot of time to get them too that point. I like the realism of that. I can also see that the death of Susan could help them grow together, here is why. When Meredith and Thatcher start talking again; I think that he will tell her to not waste her life waiting for the “right time”, because in the end there is no right time. He knows that Derek is a good guy for her and he will encourage her to just do it. Also, I think that Meredith is going to realize that life is short and it has its problems, but love makes it worth it. Derek is her knight in shining whatever and they are made for each other. So will Derek cheat. I just cannot see Derek cheating, It would be so out of character from what we know that he went through after Addy. In the first episode of this season they showed us how much it damaged him in the flashbacks. Cheating would not be something that Derek would be capable of any more. Izzie and George are so in love. I think that Callie is going to figure this out and leave George. I am not excited that George did this, but he and Izzie are made for each other. I does look like Callie is realizing that George is having serious doubts and that it is because he has feelings for Izzie. It is going to be big! It was good to see Burke and Cristina have a moment of doubt. I am really glad that they are happy. I hope that they do get married. think that Burke is having doubts because everyone does. He does have to lead and the Cristina follows. Cristina is changing to be more what Burke wants. Sometimes that is ok and it works for a relationship, we will have to wait and see if it is ok with this one.Posted 5/4/2007 1:00:00 AM #

I have to agree I don't see him cheating. Addy cheating on him damaged him. But hopefully he tells the girl to buzz off or better Mer sees her and steps in. Burke does need to lead Cristina. And I really hope they are happy.Posted 5/4/2007 1:00:00 AM #

I really think that he is at the bachelor party and they edited out the woman saying hello first. Derek is being nice and says hi back and she offers to buy him a drink and he says thank you, "but I have to get back to my group" or "thank you, but I have a girlfriend". Something like that. hi all!I´ve just finished watching last night´s epi!!So many things to comment…Gizzie…cute scene on the elevator!watching those two completely in love with each other but trying to do the right thing!Burkina getting ready for the big day!But i´m concerned about MerDer!I think that Derek walked away at the end because he went to Mer´s house to confort her and he found her dealing with her pain the same way she always does…with a drink.I imagine he thought that all she said about being diferent was not true!! about next week´s preview…is it possible that Derek will be interested on the brunette?SERIOUSLY!That´s 2 much even for GA!My hearth can not handle that!I´m going directly to SGHPosted 5/5/2007 1:00:00 AM #

It's hard to say what will happen. I'm having trouble deciding if Derek and Meredith are still together. My answer is yes because we haven't seen a break-up. We see them going through a rough time right now, but is Shonda and crew setting us up for another break-up or are Meredith and Derek just having a rough patch. I think we'll find out soon. Honestly can't figure out what Derek will say to the brunnette....I don't think he'd cheat after all he's been through, but it may lead to a temporary separation of Meredith and Derek...and that doesn't thrill me at all.Posted 5/5/2007 1:00:00 AM #

Ok so now I'm thinking Meredith and Derek are splitting up again. I finally read Shonds's blog and this is what worries me. Shonda says: Now, we’ve got the last two episodes of this season to bring to you. Where we are going might make you shake your fists to the heavens and scream. But we are leaping. So, if your sofa is comfy, maybe you could lie back down and leap with us? It's the shaking my fists to the heavens and screaming part that doesn't sit well with me. So I think we'll see Derek and Meredith separate yet again. While I believe like McDreamy02 says that they will grow and find their way back to each other, I think we have to prepare ourselves for the fact that they may be with other people before (and trust me, the thought of Derek with someone other than Meredith now makes me cringe) they can be with one another, and it's not something I would put past Shonda and crew. She did say that Meredith is in danger of losing Derek, and after all she's lost this season, I'm wondering if she can take losing Derek. I think sometimes there's that one extra thing that sometimes throws us over the edge, that we don't recover from or that scars us for life (obviously that has happened to Alex). But as I've said before, there's still 4 seasons left and that's a lot of time for everything to be just the way we want it....so unfortunately, I think that Shonda will take Derek and Meredith through to hell and back......and George just may transfer (for a while)....and Burktina just may not go through with the wedding and we'll spend another season watching the characters recover from all that's gone wrong this year. And as for Alex, he's a mystery, and I can't wait to find out what's scared Alex. So as depressing as my predictions are, hopefully Shonda and crew will leave me with a little happiness over the summer. Please.. Great anaylsis McDreamy02! I totally agree, though I am getting sick and tired of Meredith and Derek's on and off again relationship...I can see why Derek's getting frustated, even I am! I mean either get it on or get it off! Either way, I don't care as long as we can move forward! What I found annoying about this episode is A/The MerDer on/off thing and B/ The "lets kill off another character" thing. Did Susan really have to die? All they seem to do is kill people off in this show, what's new about that? Tho the Daddy slap was a cracker, I have to say Shonda needs to come up with something new because I'm getting bored! I thought the season was getting better when we hit epi 16 but it's gone back to same old stuff now. Maybe that's what the whole wellness spinoff is about. I thought it was quite funny actually, and that's what Grey's had, fun, where's this gone? At any rate, the kiss between Addison and Pete was HOT. I will watch it again and give it a chance. Interestingly enough, I read a spoiler somewhere last week that the chief offers chief to Derek but he turns it down and tells Richard he should stay on. Meanwhile Burke, on hearing he didn't get chief, is so upset he leaves Christina at the alter! I think this came from the national enquirer so is probably trashy. I don't think we will get any relief at the finale, unfortunately I'm sure Shonda will keep us on the edge of our seats until Season 4 begins....oh the pain of it all! At any rate, she says the fun is back in Season 4, yay, because Season 3 is sad and depressing! I doubt it will last long though, I think shonda maybe is the one who's dark and twisty, but I guess that side is what we love about Greys too...just not too much of it! oh and just one more thing...Derek did tell Meredith he doesn't know if he can breathe for her...so I kind of understand why she didn't turn to him after fake mummy dies and daddy slaps her. I mean, he doesn't want to breathe for her, so she turned to her friends, Izzie, Alex and Mr Tequilla. I'd do the same. She probably doesn't know where she stands with him now, and after he said the whole "I don't know if I can breathe for you" thing she must think, well, then I won't let you.
