    Yeah, she did. She needed to push Mer. She was able to tell Mer that she was anything, but ordinary. Also, do you think Derek's speech to Ellis had an effect on Ellis' message to Mer? That would mean that Derek did save Mer, in a way!

    very insightful McDreamy02! someone earlier today mentioned that during the previews they noticed the chief saying something interesting while they were trying revive mer.....did you all catch it? he was saying that they had to "save ellis grey's daughter". then he started to say "save my....." but he got cut off. is there a possibility that she could be his child?!? powerful stuff there.

    Could be, it might be stretching it, but I would not put it past Shonda. Mer might be a little pail to be the child of the Chief.

    I have to be honest, I wasn't a huge fan of this episode. I mean, it was great and all, but I just didn't really like the idea of all of those people up with Mer, I think Denny and, in the end, Ellis, could've just done it. Hopefully, Mer won't come close to dying again til...probably next February.

    I do not think that they will need to have Mer come close to death again, I think that she is going to be firmly committed to life, no matter how hard, from now on. She is going to see that she has a purpose and life is so worth it. This was her "It's A Wonderful Life" moment. I think that all those people needed to be there for Mer. She needed to see people who had lost a lot and the people who had completed their lives.

    Well, I know I've been saying that Izzie is in love with George, and she still might be, but does anyone think that George is actually going to have to choose between Callie and Izzie? Who do you guys think George will choose...his wife or his best friend?
