I loved the moment between Meredith and Cristina, too. I also loved the moment between Burke and Cristina in the bar. I love that he understood that she would never forgive herself if she did not come back to the hospital to say goodbye to her best friend. He obvioulsy understood the whole, she's my person thing after all. If he hadn't talked her into coming back she would not have been there to insist they try again. I also loved in that powerful scene between them that she showed she still feels guilty that she was not there for Burke after he was shot. But the best part was he obviously has forgiven her. He said she was there when it mattered most. And the absolute best was that she confirmed yet again that she is going to marry Burke. Hooray!! I am so looking to a spring wedding. It was great that both Burke and Cristina were in the room when Meredith's heartbeat became a blip on the screen and then gained strength.

~~OK..this episode was the BEST ever!! Let's see..i really can't remember most of the episode because i was so into it..if i get into a movie/or an episode of a show then i forget some things when it's over..(which sounds weird).. I loved it when Doc jumped on her lap..i miss that dog..lol I was so glad to see all of those people there (Bonnie, Liz, Dylan, and of course Denny)!! very creative thinking for the writers and Shonda. Also, i wonder why George's dad wasn't there..maybe because he didn't really know Meredith...who knows.. but i do remember i cried when Ellis was dying and she showed up where Meredith was and hugged her and said "You are anything but ordinary"..THAT WAS SO SWEET! and i cried when the chief was talking to Ellis' dead body..pretty sad moment right there..:( and last but DEFINITELY not least i cried at the very end when Denny and Izzie both felt each other's presences...awwwww..best part of the episode for me..touched my heart :) Well, to wrap it up, i'm glad Meredith is alive.. and i hope that Izzie and George can keep their friendship strong and Callie and Izzie can actually be friends..that would be pretty sweet.. but anyways...BEST EPISODE..loved it

i havn't seen the episode but it reads as if Ellis sort of has to die for Meredith to live. is that sort of how it went.

I had figured that this would happen, but I cannot say that it did not move me to tears. This is brilliant TV! I loved every part of this episode! The message was something that we need to hear today. Mer is influential in changing the lives of every person in the hospital. She has made Christina human. She has made George more of a man. She has helped Alex realize that he can change, even a screw-up has a chance. Izzie has become stronger because of knowing Mer. She has learned to continue to believe, even when it looks hopeless. Derek is still a believer in magic, true love and an optimist. Addie is a believer now too; some one out there will love her the way Derek loves Mer; love like that is still possible. Bailey is encouraged to carry on and be the best. The Chief likes the reminder of Ellis and feels like he has a daughter that understands him. And even Mark is encouraged to be a better person because of Mer's kindness. It is Grey's Anatomy; she is the linchpin. We all can have this affect on others, you never know who you influence with your kindness and love. What an amazing message! Some of the best TV writing ever! I cannot wait to see what Shonda has next!

IzzieFan i am the same way...so involved in what you are seeing and most of the details you remember, but some fall to the side for recalling at a later time. so happy she's alive and well!! kinda sad that derek wasn't in the room though. i guess you can't have everything. but so good to see him holding her while she was sleeping at the end. i have to say i felt really bad for izzie. i know what she said to george and callie was harsh, but callie was pretty harsh too in her way. what will izzie do if she loses george's friendship?? i think she'll turn to alex! mostly for comfort--for something familiar. that's my prediction. ;)
