     Since some time has passed between this and the next episode, I'm afraid we are going to be cheated out of seeing Meredith share her near-death experience, or even work through things with Derek after the anguish he suffered over her drowning.

     Of course...seems like they always cut corners when it comes to Mer and Der..they should have gotten their own spinoff...god knows everyone would watch it.

     They won't show Mer telling anyone about her experience, why would they? The viewers already saw what happened, why would we want to see her telling everyone else about what happened? It's Grey's, people, I'm sure there will be a new drama brewing next episode, and everyone will have moved past the whole near-death thing by next episode.

     Why would Der/Mer need a spin-off, the show is called Grey's Anatomy, it is about Mer. In a TV drama, except 24, most episode represent some time having been past since the last episode. I would rest easy, Shonda has not cut any corners in telling Mer's story. I do think that in the next couple of episodes there will be some good Der/Mer growth.

     oh yea. there will be alot of change in merders relationship, we'll get to see a different side of mer she didnt even know existed. it will be great. but the wait is killing me.

     The show is already about Mer, she and Derek do not need there own spin-off, that is what I am saying, Kate was the best choice for the spin-off since. she has the least amount of connection to Mer now. Everyone else on the show is is too important to Mer to leave. Addy was never going to be Mer's family like everyone else is. Even Mark may become part of the family because he and Derek begin to patch things up.

     You don't think Mark will make things work with Addison and go back with her when they do the spin off? I hope not - I think that like Alex, his character has a huge amount of room for growth. When he's not being a childish ass I really like McSteamy. :)
