Remember, it was a good thing for Der/Mer that Mer woke up, but it had been a long day. All the bodies at the ferry, Mer in the water, rescue, is she going to die and then Ellis' death. I think the scene with them at the end was perfect because it feels real. After all that happened, you are not going to be jumping up and down and screaming I love you, you are just going to want to be with that person. Them lying in bed together was a perfect way to show the repercussions of the day. Also I do remember that Addy is watching them and Derek seems to be talking to Mer. We do not hear what they say, but I am sure that there was an "I love you and I am glad you are alive" in there. This show is not like normal TV, it is more realistic; Shonda prides herself on that. So, I think that she did a great job making more real. PS. It is great to have the boards back, I missed you all! PPS. burke backer... i'm so with you... i can't stand the izzie/denny relationship anymore... i am totally sick of it... i think i wrote about it 2 weeks ago, about denny's death and the things that izzie can't get over yet, because GA is a serie and he past away 17 episodes ago, it's so much time... and the only thing on izzie's head is denny, her character is losing something, before denny she was a hard girl who raise in a park trailer and now is spoiled and capricious only expecting george to do what she wants.... i used to love her, even at the beggining of this season, but at this point i expect that shonda shows izzie's child or something else for her.Posted 2/25/2007 1:00:00 AM #

It might be 17 eps, that that is only about 3 or so months in show time, so it is not that unusual that someone would still be upset about their soul-mate dying. 3 months is not a lot of time when you think about what she lost. On the George thing, I think that she has been so messed up by the Denny thing for the last few months that she could not be there for George the way that she use to be able too. Now that she has her mojo back, she is trying to make up for it, but is going about it the wrong way. The beauty of Iz is that she really cares, she is flawed though, like everyone else. Remember, George and Iz use to lean on each other for everything. Then Denny came and Iz could lean on him and George found Callie to lean on. Now, with Denny gone, Iz needs someone to lean on and George use to be that person and she is jealous of Callie for taking that away from her. Iz needs to let George go and if he comes back to her then she will know that they will be friends forever. Everyone is flawed and Iz has many, but at least she is trying to grow and put herself back together.Posted 2/25/2007 1:00:00 AM #

McDreamy02--I think its obvious I did not mean jumping up and down screaming I love you. I loved Addison watching Meredith & Derek talking, his stroking her arm, and them lying together in the hospital bed. It certainly was a long, exhausting day. I still feel though, because of the depths of emotion shown by Derek, that we deserved to see some of that carried over into their reunion when Meredith first woke up. Wow kind of harsh on Izzie there aren't you chicchanelcosmogrey? If you've ever lost someone you were in love with, you'll know that months and even years never take away that pain - and yes it does change you. In fact, I'll tell you that this episode quite literally sent me sobbing from the room at the last scene. I really loved the whole denny and izzie thing i kind of miss denny and I am not a huge izzie fan, but I do miss denny cause if he were still here then izzie would be happy, and I LOVED the scene where she sensed denny right at the end it was very well done, and poor denny in the afterlife! and it has only been a few months since he died, this is tv time, like they haven't even had christmas or anything like they did last year, so it would still be hard for izzie i think. That could be Rose, I am not sure. I think that Mer/Der are growing slowly together. We are so use to things happening fast on TV and here Shonda is making it take time like in reality. I do wish that they said I love you more, but I do like it that those words are not just thrown around. Those words are so over used in TV and it is not even real love. I don't about the i love you thing cause I don;'t know maybe it would be a little too much if they said i love you all the time, i do think it would be nice to hear from Burke or Cristina to each other to say i love you but I don't think they need to hear it to know it I think that is especially burke and cristinas personality, they aren't mushy at all! which is totally their presonality I mean when they are at home in private together you see the cute cuddly scenes but when they are working they are very professional about it, except for maybe the sex in the on call rooms! lol and just the little things they say to each other you can so tell they love each other! but it would have been kind of nice for one of them to say when Cristina said yes to burke I love you! and maybe every once in awhile the couples could say i love you! that would be cute!lol sorry to diasgree with you a bit rose!Posted 2/25/2007 1:00:00 AM #
