I wanted to love it. Mediocre Grey's Anatomy is better than 99.9% of anything else out there. However I was very disappointed. They took the predictable, safe way out. Don't get me wrong: I love Meredith and wanted her to live, but choosing Ellis to go (while emotionally satisfying) was definitely the safe choice. We knew Ellis was lost due to Alzheimer's. There would be no happy ending. Having her die won't affect the show that much. (Especially since they are happy to bring back the dead when they need them.) I'm not a Denny/Izzie fan (actually I actively dislike Denny) but that scene at the end where they stand near each other moved me to tears. I liked the episode, but didn't love it. wickedsplitty, i agree with you on the denny thing. it was kind of done to death and sort of a relief when he stopped being the squeaky wheel. hey not that i want to speak ill of the dead. especially a cool ghost that from what i gather was instrumental in meredith returning to us, perhaps the road to heaven is also paved with good intentions. i like the idea of exploring a spiritual greys moment and look forward to the australian whatever when ever. if i live that long.Posted 2/23/2007 1:00:00 AM #

Am I the only one out there that was really disappointed with this episode. I am such a fan but don't you think they pushed the boundaries on reality here. How long was she without a heart beat? I'm glad that Meredith's alive but it was pretty typical TV "back from the death" scene. I did like that she made peace with her mother. I have an issue with Izzie and how she feels she's so justified in criticizing George for marrying Callie when she herself got engaged to a guy she knew for what, a month, and whom she never saw outside of a hospital room. Someone should call her out on it. Anyway, still love McDreamy, I wished they had actually said "I love you" to each other, cause they've never actually said it to each other when they've been together.Posted 2/23/2007 1:00:00 AM #

I've talked to a couple of people at work now and no one else remembers hearing this. Please tell me if I'm making stuff up ... I am so proud of Dr. Ellis Grey because she decided to make ammends with her daughter through death. OMG, I was so amazed that she would make that decision for Meredith because I guess she wanted Meredith to follow in her footsteps. I think that her mother needed to say that to her because she needed to let Meredith be her own person, to let Meredith be happy, and IMO Meredith is "extraordinary". missa482 I listened to it 3 times and I n only hear "this is my" and then Burke talks it is probably meant to be "girl". Keep in mind he promised Ellis to be there for Meredith and that in the first episodes of season 1 he said that he used to change Meredith's diapers (if my memory still works). Can't say much more about this episode I have mixed feelings. Actors did really a great job, storyline is more difficult to accept for me. Izzie and Denny I hope this will stop soon the girl hardly knew him and now all that "thing" around her fiancé. I had better moments watching GA in the past. Let's hope they don't kill this show by wanting to make it to complicated and unrealistic. I still watch old seasons of Australian All Saints and same stories keep on showing up in GA......
