    has anyone else figured out why the on call room is so much smaller now then it was in the first episode.

    It makes it more intimate and I know that Pilots tend to be different because they use real places instead of sets. They only use sets after they are picked up.

    Has anyone wondered about Der dad? Does he exist? He is estranged? Where did Der go to Med school?

    i don't think it was ever mentioned hot4dempsey....at least not that i ever noticed. and his mom was only mentioned in conversation when his sister nancy visited. he teased her about how she is like their mom. that's all i can recall.

    It might be something that we see later, Derek's parents. It might give us some clues as to why Derek is the way he his. If his Dad died or was not around, that might explain why he is not that close with other men.

    Did she really say that, Rose? If so, I will be a Kate Walsh fan forever. Isaiah so needs support from his castmates right now. I am worried about the spinoff, but think that if it doesn't work they could bring Addison back to Seattle Grace, so they might not have anything to lose. I just hope Shonda doesn't spend so much time on the new show that she neglects GA. I have liked Addison from about mid way through season 2. Not with Derek, but with someone. I am surprised that they are not taking Mark with her. What will be his purpose for staying in Seattle if she is gone, I wonder.

    I think that Mark and Derek have patching up to do. I think that, that is what Shonda is working on. I also think that Mark has a lot of things to learn from Derek and the others at SGH. I have a feeling and it is just a feeling that Addy will be back at SGH because the show is not popular enough. I like Addy, but I don't see her as a front runner of her own show.

    off subject but, while i'm thinking about it.... do we know how old the interns are? because i was just watching Season 2 and in one of the epis the chief says that he has known ellis for 25 years. so if we know how old mer is, this will definitively answer the paternal question. i'm thinking they're closer to 30, but not sure about that.
