ridiculous episode gap

any explanation as to why there is such a gap between episodes 10 and 11? (according to the Insider episode schedule) I understand, begrudgingly, skipping Christmas day and New Years for holiday programming and such... but the other 2 weeks?

I'm thinkin maybe Shonda didn't wanna do any holiday episodes and didn't wanna air regualar episode during the holiday season. Which kinda sucks cuz I would have loved to see a MerDer Christmas!

This whole situation is insane. The entire show seems disjointed this year. I don't know if it's fallout from last year's writer's strike or what. First the ridicuolus "Dead Denny" story line that drags on and on and seems to be headed nowhere, then the abrupt disppearance of Dr. Hahn, and now, just as we get into the habit of watching the show again, week after week of repeats! Mush more of this and I will cease to be interested in what was once the most compelling show on network television.
