We just have to remember what Shonda said in an earlier podcast or something...she loves meredith and derek together. she said she's not going to not let them be together. so even if that means some painful waiting, and maybe another girl to set them straight, meredith and derek love each other, and they are going to be together. shonda won't split them up for good. they are too much of soulmates to be seperated forever.Posted 11/11/2007 1:00:00 AM #

Amen to that Megan. Mer just needs to sort herself out first (which is taking very long). you know i remembered mer literally begged derek to choose her when addi came but he didnt. That enough will destroy any faith she ever had in him. Still she said she feels safe with him and is not ready to let that go. So what is going to happen to her state of mind when he starts dating again? If you ask me i think derek is going through a mid life crisis.Posted 11/11/2007 1:00:00 AM #

Hi Everybody...I'm new to this forum. I usually leave my comments on the Grey's insider episode guide and I always read what you guys write as well. I am a huge Mer/Der fan and I am really trying to be optimistic and hopeful where this couple is concerned! I'm really sad about the season ending after the 11th episode since we have really just got started with season 4. I can't believe we only have 4 episodes left! I am trying to have complete faith in Shonda where Mer/Der are concerned. I even listened through her podcasts again yesterday to see if there was any little tidbit of info that maybe we missed telling us that Mer/Der will not be together and there wasn't! She basically said after the first episode that Mer/Der had a magnetic pull to each other and she wasn't ready to see these two apart! She said they would never really split up because they love each other so much. So, even though we know that Meredith still has issues and bless her heart she is definately working on them..slowly but surely..I do believe with all my heart she will get there! I just hope that it happens by the 11th episode so we will not be left hanging and not knowing where these two are as a couple until next season! That would be horrible! I know when I first read Patrick's interview with TV Guide....I basically panicked! But them when I took a deep breath and read it again slowly...he basically didn't tell us anything that we already didn't know......He said that their relationship had gone as far as it could go and that he wanted both characters to grow realistically. He also said that he was looking forward to the change and moving on with whatever this change will be. (We all know that Patrick and Ellen want these two characters together and Patrick has stated that he wished they would marry)! He also said that the only way it could continue (Mer/Der together) would be if she would see a therapist and or commit to marry him. So basically, what I'm trying to say is he DIDN'T say they were going to split he only said if she didn't do either of these things they would probably split! I guess by Patrick making those comments it seemed to put alittle doubt in our minds that Mer/Der may be splitting and were all hoping that they were on the right track! In the next episode the date looks like Sydney that he is having drinks with, so I'm not sure how this other love interest will come into play. I really thought that this would be good for Meredith and push her along to make a commitment to Derek but I'm not sure. But I will still continue to be positive until Shonda really gives us something to feel negative about!Posted 11/11/2007 1:00:00 AM #

Has anyone elses expectations about the show gone down? I know mine have, and even more show now that the strike is on. At this point I will take GA no matter how I get it. I hear u Pink, its as if Shonda is asleep, i really dont get what she is up to. Every epi has its own storyline and no continuity at all. But still anything is better than not having grey's weekly at all. How far with the writers strike, any progress yet?Posted 11/12/2007 1:00:00 AM #
