"Physical Attraction, Chemical Reaction"

What is with the fans dissing the show on it's forum? Come on! Where's the hope? Season 3 got so dark and we asked Shonda for light and some similarity to season 1 Grey's-- and guess what? She delivered! I think season 4 has shown great promise-- greater concentration on the medical cases and using them to reflect a theme, or Mer's thoughts of the day... a lightening and fun about it (great example being Izzie in the cafe with her dukes up and George frantically racing through the hospital) and a realness about MerDer. Sure, we as fans, were not sick of them being together last season-- why break them up? But, we are seeing a deepening in their relationship that is much more rewarding than where they were last season, even if they do break apart for a while. They are evolving. But can you really imagine that it's not going to eventually work out in the end between them? Can you really think that Derek is just going to start with someone else after we have seen how deeply he feels? Maybe someone will come along for a little while, maybe a diversion from Mer's uncertainty, but in the end Derek feels what Derek feels for MER, no one else. It's only growing pains. Keep the faith everyone!!!Posted 11/8/2007 1:00:00 AM #

I have faith. I am not worried. I do think that this whole Der/Mer things is like all the other things they have gone through; they are things that they need to have happen so that they can grow closer in the end. I am really enjoying this season.Posted 11/8/2007 1:00:00 AM #

Meredith has made some real progress the last couple of episodes. However, Thatcher shows up again tonight, and I fear he will send Mer backwards. That may have something to do with the cliffhanger that PD was talking about. Hey Pink Mist, aren't you the one with the PD Enchanted doll? I looked on the Disney store website, and there is an Enchanted t-shirt with him on it. I'm thinking I might need to get it for a sleep shirt. It might help produce some really good dreams!!!LOLPosted 11/8/2007 1:00:00 AM #

I echo greysaddiction's comments. I was dissing the spoilers not the show. I didn't think Thatcher was going to show up in tonight's episode...right on! Now I'm getting excited. And I have to agree, I'm really liking this season compared to Season 3. Growing pains indeed.Posted 11/8/2007 1:00:00 AM #

I thought that I had read that Jeff Perry (Thatcher)was a guest star on this episode. If it's this one or the next, I hope he doesn't destroy Mer's progress. I agree that this season is much better than season three. Hopefully it won't end with just 11 episodes and with Derek being with another woman. Plus I was looking forward to seeing Pacey (Joshua Jackson) as a doctor.Posted 11/8/2007 1:00:00 AM #

I do like this season better than the last. If I sound like I am dising the show I don't mean to, I enjoy watching the show I just get frustrated with the soap opera aspect of it. I gravitated towards the show because of the focus o women and how they interact with the world around them. So many shows are about men solving mysteries or strong women who must stand strong while surrounded by men. This show is about women, for women (and wonderful guys like Matt), and written by women. However much I may bitch I have not lost sight of this. Thanks for the reality check greysaddiction!Posted 11/8/2007 1:00:00 AM #

This was a really good episode, I think it was by far the best so far this season. It was a classic Grey's episode with great storylines involving the doctors and patients and it combined perfectly with the humor. This show is pretty close to being where it was 2 seasons ago, now all we need is Gizzie to break up and everything will be back to normal. Seriously, that relationship doesn't work, it just doesn't. I don't know why they had that chemistry for that one night, maybe it was just because they were both drunk, but it is not working and they both know it. I think it should end and I hope that they will stay best friends afterwards. I like the Lexie and Meredith dynamic, I think Mer really cares about Lexie but just won't totally admit it. Maybe it will take something like dealing with their apparantly drunken father to bring them closer together. Bailey will make a much better Chief Resident than Callie can, she is still dealing with her divorce and Bailey doesn't have the personal problems she does. The Chief and Der need a nickname for their relationship, any suggestions?? I like....Derrich. Anyway, really good episode.Posted 11/8/2007 1:00:00 AM #

Could anyone tell who Der was on the date with from next week's clip? Was it the new woman or Sydney?Posted 11/8/2007 1:00:00 AM #

I thought the Chief and Der were really funny tonight. The expressions on Der's face were priceless.Posted 11/8/2007 1:00:00 AM #
