"Physical Attraction, Chemical Reaction"

I was just thinking ,it must be really a lonely and hard time for Lexie right now. I know she has a sister and a brother but i didnt realize she is the only one staying with her dad right now. . Hence, that was what meredith has been going thru all her life. In a way that would make Lexie understand mer's pain and what she went thru more clearly now.Posted 11/12/2007 1:00:00 AM #

On the contrary, pink mist, I think the epi's do have a continuity, but in a similar fashion to season 1. Each epi had it's own story, it's own being, but it did further the continuous path of the characters. This is an intentional way of getting away from the steady stream of soap opera-esque drama and getting back to the magic of Grey's, I think. I do agree, though, that in the last epi something felt a bit out of sync. We were left with restlessness that reminded me of Season 3, but there were so many exceptional moments to balance that and really I think that the out-of-sync aspect of it was completely incongruent with the previous Season 4 epi's. Keep on watching... Hafsa, I think you are dead-on about Lexie. What a horrible and lonely place that must be, which is exactly what will make Mer soften towards her-- Mer is a very warm and caring person (in her own dark & twisty way)-- she'll really want to help her. Also, I wonder then, about Lex and Alex b/c this would be something that could emotionally link them (so far it's just been a physical relationship, but maybe it's going to become more and then where does Ava fit in...)?Posted 11/12/2007 1:00:00 AM #

I think this season has been great! Each week gets better and better. I think that Lexie and MEredith will continue to bond slowly but surely and hopefully Lexie will help Meredith deal with her issues especially with Derek before it is too late! I am trying to keep the faith where Shonda is concerned when it comes to Mer/Der! I truly believe that will end up together but what bothers me now is whether she will let it happen now instead of later! Especially with the new love interest coming into the picture...maybe we are all making too much out of that and it doesn't really amount to anything! Thas what I'm hoping. ANd I also remember what Patrick said in that TV Guide interview......alot will happen with their relationship in the next few episodes and whatever decision is made seems to be permanent! That could be bad meaning they decide to split or it could be good and Meredith makes a commitment to Derek! The not knowing is killing me! (ha) And whatever change it is...he is looking forward to it...so who knows????????? What do you guys think?Posted 11/12/2007 1:00:00 AM #

i for one hope that alex and lexie become closer....they make a cute couple - more realistic than his fling with Rebecca/Ava. i really like where i think mer and lexie's relationship appears to be heading. mer/der - who knows - it's anyone's guess at this point. i'm sure hoping for commitment there. we'll just have to hang in a lot longer for the big finish i think.Posted 11/13/2007 1:00:00 AM #

Yeah, i think mer is starting to care for lexie. For her to even suggest alex to take her drunk sister home is a big step for her to take. Secondly, i heard her called lexie 'lex' that sounds kind of personal to me. I am thinking bonding with her sis would keep her occupied when der is busy with his new love interest. How he can shift from the love of his life to another woman in a short period of time is beyond me. That is so out of character. I also hope Thatcher wouldnt come looking for mer drunk, even more important, what exactly does he want from her? I just cant see thatcher wanting anything good from mer at this stage. I felt really sad when christina was painting burke's house, the look on her face was.... the only thing that keeps her going is mer and her surgiries, yet Hahn had to go and take that from her as well. However, now that Bailey is the new chief res. i dont think she would tolerate any nonsence from dr. hahn or anyone else. Ok i think i have rambled enough..Posted 11/13/2007 1:00:00 AM #

Yes, hafsa-- go Bailey go! No one is going to pull any of that crap w/ Bailey in charge! I know a lot of people have taken a quick liking to Dr. Hahn... I am still on the fence. She is really rough around the edges... jagged. Straightforward I like, but so far she's seemed a little too straight forward to me! but with a slight softening I think I really could like her. Give Christina her surgeries back, anyway!! As for MerDer, I still believe...Posted 11/13/2007 1:00:00 AM #

Hafsa I love your thoughts about Bailey! That makes me feel alot better, because I hate that Hahn thinks she is some kind of god that can do whatever she wants. As Gloria says, it is totally unrealistic for ANYONE to mess with an OR schedule in real life! All I know about MerDer is, if Derek has any serious interest in another woman, I refuse to watch it. Derek's passion for Meredith has been my prime reason for watching Grey's, and I will not watch them mess with that.Posted 11/13/2007 1:00:00 AM #

Here's what I project for the Der's new love interest storyline-- Der is lonely. For God's sake, he's so lonely that he was borderline "dating" the chief, as Sloan hilariously pointed out. He's now looking for companionship. He loves Mer, and I think he's very serious about Mer, but I also think he's lonely. So, he'll toy with the idea of seeing someone else. Maybe partially to test himself-- to see if there is life beyond Mer (in case she never meets him halfway) and maybe partially to attempt to motivate Mer. At any rate, my prediction is that he'll go on a date and entertain the idea of dating someone else, only to realize that it's not even possible for him. At the same time Mer is going to be working through some of her issues and beginning to develop a closeness with Lexie and getting closer to being ready... it may look rough for a while, but I believe it's all growing pains with both of them (let's not forget that Der has a ways to go too-- this is the guy who's response to finding out that his wife is sleeping with his bff was to hop on a plane across the country, take a new job and go to a bar and hook up-- his nature is more towards the flight response-- now, he has come a long way and now exhibits more of a tendency to fight for things, for Mer, but I think he's still got some growing to do)... and eventually they will meet each other, head-to-head, on the same plane and completely ready for each other. Won't that just be 10 times more satisfying to watch then seeing Mer hook up with him after her shift and immediately jumping out of bed to go home alone?? Call me a glass-half-full-girl if you want, but that is what I believe...Posted 11/13/2007 1:00:00 AM #

Look what what i found on grey news: So apparently, T.R. Knight, Katherine Heigl, and Sandra Oh have gone on strike officially which means that episode eleven might be in jeopardy. Only ten episodes of the series has been filmed so far, and it’s looking like the eleventh episode might not make it to the screen any time soon, though the studio is hoping to finish filiming it this week. Shonda Rhimes has also walked out. As a result, we’re going to have to change our calendars a bit. Episode number 9, “Crash Into Me,” was originally set to air in two consecutive parts, one week after the other. Part one will still be airing on November 22nd, but there will be no part two on November 29th. Instead, there will be a rerun of the season four premiere. That means that the second part will be airing on December 6th. If the 11th episode doesn’t get filmed in time, that might be it for Grey’s Anatomy until the strike is resolved. Let’s hope this mess gets resolved soon!Posted 11/13/2007 1:00:00 AM #

Well, their support of the writers is admirable, but this could really bring misery to the viewers! I hope it at least helps to push for a faster resolution.Posted 11/13/2007 1:00:00 AM #
