Anybody else thought it was pretty bad?

I thought it was great! I never really liked Derek, its not that I disliked him but I didn't think he was particularly interesting or wowfull but after yesterday he is one of my favourite characters and that was one of my favourite voice overs and episodes! I finally see why everybody loves him!

I don't know why, but everything he said just went in one ear and out the other. I could hardly even understand what he was saying. Maybe his voice was a bit too low or something. I dunno.

I think it was because there was music playing all the time in the background with his voiceover. I know there usually is with Meredith's but we aren't used to hearing Derek's voice so it just gets lost. There were several times last night where I thought music was used a little too much. Don't get me wrong, I love the new songs that Shonda picks out for the episodes but when it's background filler type music, indicating an intense scene, it's sometimes a little overboard.

He was amazing in yesterday's episode. His voice over was so powerful to me.

As someone who hasn't been too keen on Derek, I actually liked it. Meredith and Derek definitely have two different ways of thinking, and it was nice to hear from someone else. But Patrick Dempsey...speak up man. You're incredibly cute, but you're a lowtalker.

I thought it was awesome it's good to hear someone different speak other then Meredith i love both Mark & Derek both are awesome :D

I have to agree with Mr_Erious....I loved having Derek do the voiceover but sometimes he's so softspoken (lowtalker) that I have a hard time understanding what he's saying, plus he tends to speak too fast at times and I have to keep replaying something over and over and still can't understand what he's said. But oh yeah, incredibly cute!!

I thought it was really good, the words spoke out to me. Maybe we're just not used to his voice? Or maybe he was talking a bit too low?

I loved Derek's voice over - does anyone know where I can get it all quoted? I looked on here and some other sites and its not there. I think a lot of people just aren't used to listening to him as the wise, all-knowing, overseer like we do with Meredith but he definitely had great stuff to say.
