I thought the episode was good but was alittle disappointed in the Mer/Der forward movement. I was so in hopes that:
1.Derek would have broke it off with Rose 2. Meredith would have given Derek some indication that she still loves him.
I hated that Derek left with Rose holding hands. I thought by the next episode that Mer/Der would be closer than this, which tells me that the reuniting will probably not happen till the last couple of minutes in the finale. Naturally, I'm thrilled that they are getting back together but disappointed we won't see much of them together before the episode ends! I really felt for Mer/Der in their scenes tonight. The way they looked at each other was heart breaking and I guess thats what Shonda is doing, just building up the longing with these two and making it more intense but its killing us the fans to watch! We Just Want Them Together Already!

This was a great set-up for the end of the season. Meredith is really almost there. She is completely working through here issues and truly ready to make a breakthrough. She is ready to change and you have to be ready to change for change to come. Derek is still so in love with Meredith and he cannot truly let her go from his mind. She is his soul mate, he knows it and cannot allow anyone else fill that spot. Lexie is awesome. I loved that she stood up to Cristina. George got his due. He is working hard and someone noticed. He is ready to move forward and truly learn this job that he has been avoiding. I love that he is motivated to be the best. Mark is so funny. I love that he is moving and growing. The kiss, how far can you push a guy? Callie is in a tough place; I think that she may be having trouble with her choice to go penis or va-jay-jay. It was nice to see more of who Hahn is. She is really growing on me. Cristina is almost ready to come back. I think that Lexie really pushed her and reminded her what she wants. Bailey and Tucker are going to work it out, I think. I think that he will come around; as will Adele to Richard. Cannot wait for the end!

i only saw the second half, and i loved every minute, especially the part where rose is mad at derek. i think i would like rose if she weren't inbetween merder. and i liked the elevator scene with mcsteamy and callie and erica!!

Okay so I hope we're not getting tricked about the Meredith and Derek situation!!! I know we have 2 hours next week, but they are not connecting like they should!! And I DO NOT like him holding Rose's hand one episode before they are supposed to be together!!! SOoooooo stupid! And he was being very rude towards Meredith...I kept saying, Gosh Derek, you're not being very McDreamy! And the whole Alex/Ava thing is just WEIRD!! SHe couldn't even dress herself...something is seriously wrong with that girl!! I loved Mer's breakdown in the end...I was hoping Derek would go and find her, but NOOOO!! Next week better be good to make up for this week!!

It is because Derek is hurting so much and he can see that Meredith is still not quite there. He feels that Meredith is attacking the love that he thought they shared. It is killing him that Meredith might think those things about what they had.

Ok so I'm hoping I'll actually be able to post this, since I haven't been having much success lately. I can actually read all the posts right so I'm going to try posting while I think I still can...how frustrating this is.
LOVED LOVED LOVED this episode. We are really starting to deal with our resident's issues.
Meredith has crossed a huge line and it was fantastic. Rose is history. Don't let the door hit you on the way out Rose but Derek and Mer are soulmates and they are meant to be together. It won't be easy ... it never is. But they both know it, they just have to see it.
George was fantastic tonight. He's been growing right under our noses and we've sort of been oblivious to it. Way to go Shonda.
Alex is about to go to the dark place and it will be so interesting to watch him over next season because ultimately his storyline doesn't stop with next week's finale. Can't wait to find out what's wrong with Rebecca.
The Caillie/Hahn kiss was a surprise. I admit I didn't see that coming, but how interesting to see the reaction of Caillie. It will be interesting to see where that goes.
Mark was funny as always and he is who he is. Can't wait to see what's in store for him.
Well, I thought this was a very powerful episode. Can't wait for next week's finale, but I'm also not looking forward to another 4 months of no Grey's.

OK,
So, I, like Kathy was so disappointed not to have the sweet MerDer moments that I was so hoping to have, BUT I know it's all growing pains. What Mer went through tonight was draining. What Der went through tonight was also draining, but more because he has a very bad view of what Mer might be thinking of their love. He is in an unsure place. Mer is in a scary place. But it is EXACTLY where she needs to be going. I just wish that at the end Der was going to find Mer, not taking Rose's hand and walking out the door. And how pathetic is Rose? Der just told her their not having the fairy tale, they're not having anything real-- just light and fun for now. And she says OK and grabs his hand? Well, since she is the girl who is so in love with him that she was blurting it to his ex-love's sister, she certainly is willing to accept much less than she's willing to give. Not that I had much respect for her before, but whatever respect might have been there is vanished. And Der, well Der is just trying to survive the not knowing-- the possibility that his soul mate and true love never believed in their love. That is tough.
Oh, but Mer-- I was SO proud of Mer. This is a courage coming to in a noncourageous person. That is SO HARD. Big strdes for her. And her doctor is doing GREAT. Love what she is doing. Mer is such an emotional person, so taking the tough love kind of stance has got to feel risky, even for a psychiatrist, with a person like Mer.
I was sad tonight. But that is what is needed to get to where we're going.
On the good note-- I liked Christina's angry, out-of-character behavior tonight. She's doing what she needs to be doing. I loved Lexie. Lexie rocked on all counts tonight. And George. Sweet, sweet George. Loving watching him gain success, no matter how small the increments. Loving to watch him work so hard.
Izzie is in a tough place. Alex? My heart is breaking for Alex.
I look forward to next week and am keeping the faith that Shonda's word will hold true and MerDer will find their way back to each other next week... but PLEASE Shonda-- give us some to soak up-- not just the final 5 minutes!
