Kung Fu Fighting

Like I said before, I actually enjoyed last night's episode. I think Dr. Hahn is bitchy but great for the show/hospital. She calls things the way she sees them (like Alex) but she tries to be respectful about it and explain her reasoning. It might not always be a reason we like or agree with, but at least she gives one. I am pleased with Meredith's growth. I don't think she is the only one who needs to grow either. What that patient said about Derek, the bird-guy who said Derek has sad eyes, is very telling. Derek is super-duper emotional. As one who suffers from this herself, it can be a blessing and a curse. I am interested to see what's in store for him and how he grows.Posted 11/2/2007 1:00:00 AM #

Following up from your point, I think Cristina has a lot of issues she hasn't dealt with from childhood either and she's no where near starting to deal with those. Dr. Hahn might be good for Cristina in this way.... same goes for Alex ... hopefully we'll see more of that this season. I think Meredith has come a long way in just 6 episodes and I'm actually enjoying watching her grow, however, slow, and as much as I dread Derek getting involved with this other woman it's not as scary to me as it would have been had I been in the same frame of mind as I was at the end of Season 3. I hope that makes sense, I'm just blabbing cause I don't want to do anymore work.Posted 11/2/2007 1:00:00 AM #

blabber all you want. I don't want to work either. I was on the fence about how I felt towards Grey's untill last night's episode. It had the funny, the dramatic, the odd, and a touch of sad. That's what Grey's is. I'm mostly happy because the sad wasn't the focus of the episode. Yes, Meredith and Derek are in a sad situation, but things always have to get worse before they can get better. I loved Dr. Hahn throwing the Cheif's "gentleman's night" back in his face, especially since it related to something racial. She's a smart cookie. And how interesting was it that Izzie took Cristina's plead to get in on heart surgery as a blow to her personal life. Someone's a bit on the defensive side huh?Posted 11/2/2007 1:00:00 AM #

Same here Trisha, I dread Derek getting involved with this other woman, but dont you think its really going to break mer even more? I just dont get it, anyway we will wait and see. secondly why did derek told christina mer doesnt want him to take care of her? Did i miss something in their conversation? i thought she was staring to open up to him, one would have thought he will be happy with that development from her. I have a feeling Lexie is going to fall for alex. The fact that Ava might come back is something else all together. Another love triangle.Posted 11/2/2007 1:00:00 AM #

Yeah, hafsa, I think another love triangle is about to come full circle. I think Derek feels like he HAS to take care of Mer, like he did after she drowned. He is now realizing that Mer can, sort of, take care of herself and he doesn't know how to act towards her. Cristina, on the other hand, does not want to deal with her own problems, so she just takes it upon herself to "take care" of Mer just so Cristina won't have to worry about taking care of herself. That is not a good cycle because if Cristina is ever going to move on from Burke, she needs to take care of herself first. Cristina is the type of person who feels like she can just move on from anything with ease, like her relationship with Colin and the death of her father, but remember what she said in the season 2 finale when she's talking to the Chief about why she can't turn Izzie in for cutting the LVAD. She says that she could have told him BEFORE she came to Seattle Grace, but now that she was there, her mindset changed, she is a more loyal and caring person. So emotionally, despite the fact that Cristina probably wants to feel like she's still that person that can easily deal with emotional trauma, she can't because of the change that has happened to her since coming to SG. Cristina cannot possibly take care of Meredith because right now, she's having a tough enough time taking care of herself. I hope Mer realizes this and decides to help Cristina and take care of her instead of having Cristina take care of her.Posted 11/2/2007 1:00:00 AM #

Mer poured her heart to christina and all she can say is i dont know? i dont see how she is taking care of her at all.The scene at the uncall room with merder is so far the best most intimate scene i have seen so far on grey's. It doesnt always have to be about sex, they were just talking but you could feel the depth of their intimacy. I am thinking if Shonda and team writes a merder scene and writes it well it could win them an oscar. There is just something about their chemistry that puts a continues smile on your face and wants you to keep watching them. ( God i am rambling, i know, i am just freaking hopeless were those two are concerned). Hmm....i have a strong feeling that if Dr Hahn finds out izzie once cut her patient's LVAT wire and stole a heart, she wont be her fav person anymore. Even more ironic, the heart was taken right under Dr. Hahn's nose. LOL! I swear to God izzie is too dramatic, does she have to cry that loud to send her message across to george? no wonder the guy looked so frightened.Posted 11/2/2007 1:00:00 AM #

So I guess it doesn't really matter what might or might not happen if the writers go on strike...That means GA will be over right after christmas...and...well...that will be it...sad...ALL of TV could be over today...well not today today, most shows only have written scripts up until right after new years...scarryPosted 11/5/2007 1:00:00 AM #

PS I think Dr. Hahn is a monotone man...LOL..JK...KINDA...not reallyPosted 11/5/2007 1:00:00 AM #

Yeah, I not happy about this writers thing. I mean are they really helping themselves? Plus, they are going to really hurt the shows that they love and work on because of the lack of new episodes.Posted 11/5/2007 1:00:00 AM #

Greed...its a sickness...like that show...uhh deal or no deal..people will have more money won than they make in 10 years and they throw it all away just to make a couple bucks more...sad...so sad!Posted 11/5/2007 1:00:00 AM #
