Is there a doctor in the house? Maybe I missed part of the dialog. How does running, Aspirin, dehydration -> swollen legs? Explanation anyone?

the quote at the end went someting like this: We all think that we are going to be \"Great.\" We feel a little robbed when our expectations are not met. Sometimes our expectations sell us short. Sometimes the expected pales in comparison to the unexpected. You gotta wonder why we cling to our expectations. Because the expected keeps us steady, standing still. The expected keeps us going. The unexpected is what changes our lives...

Who do you think will get chief now? I think either Derek or Bailey will. Totally saw Izzy pulling that one off. And Callie will say yes and I think Christina will say know and Burke will get offered a Job somewhere else and he will take it. Feedback....

DUDE_GNARLY, sure hope you are wrong. Burke and Cristina are great together. I am hoping she says yes and he becomes Chief. She said she was sticking, was in it for he long haul, was in it to finish the race. That sounds like she loves him to me. Just cuz she's Cristina it will take her awhile to accept, but I am betting on both of them. Callie will probably say yes, too, but not until she knows for sure that George loves her and is not just talking through the grief of losing his father. I am betting that Callie is smart enough to know the difference.

I'm with you, Burke Backer. I think Callie, who truly loves George, will not let him, or herself, rush into an engagement. She will be strong enough, smart enough, I feel, to tell him that she and he both need time to process and to form a stable bond. I see them together in the end, with her shepherding him through his time of loss and anguish. I feel he will honor his father's great fondness in the the end, and his own, by seeing himself and Callie through to marriage. I think Burktina is a beautiful relatioship. These two characters are so well drawn and so well portrayed. Complicated, intense, honorable, bright, flawed. These are superb characters, and their relationship has such texture and reality to it. She may take a while to cogitate on his engagement, but I have every confidence she will say yes. Good for them! MerDer needs to develop, but they are getting there, and a very fine moment for Derek in seeing that this is all new for Meredith - a committed, long term, cohabiting love relationship - and thus seeing that she will need some time to open up and to grow with him. One of his finest moments ever in the show - his true, gentle, kind, perceptive character shows through. Truly lovely. Much the same with Izzie and Miranda. Wow, was I the only one who got choked up when Izzie said what we knew she would, "The Denny Duquette Memorial Clinic"? Wow. Breathtaking. What else can one say. I feel Dr. Webber will stay as Chief for a while now, if that is possible (perhaps some crisis will arise necessitating that?). I feel he stays on for the remainder of the season, Miranda and Izzie see the clinic through to realization (ground breaking at season's end), and - I feel strongly about this - Miranda will grow in stature and in confidence in bringing the clinic to life and will become the consensus choice of all to be the next chief. She is the leader among the senior M.D.s at Seattle Grace, and all will see and respect that. Addi and Alex? He of course is totally into her. And he's kinda put her in her place. "You're not all that and a bag of chips, though sometimes you might think so." She will want him all the more, and they will be together in short order. They can't help it, nor should they. Which leave Izzie. Is anyone else frustrated that my favorite character on the show, a beautiful (inside and out), kind and giving creature such as herself is without a love interest who is her equal? Just not right and not fair! I think the remainder of the season, for her, will be occupied with joining Miranda in bringing the Clinic into existence. She will find love next season, about the time the Clinic is opened and dedicated to Denny's memory. And you have to figure her daughter from Santa Barbara will come into the picture before too long. What an episode! What a show! Just five days to the next installment ....
