    So, what does everyone think? Awkward and freaky is better than dark and twisty, right? I think it's a step. What do you guys think?

    Kathy: You know the actors listen to us. Shonda could care less of what we think. And I'm still not sure how much input the writers have. I'm still working on figuring out if the writers have a free hand to write? or Does Shonda set up the scenes and the writers add the dialogue,and Shonda has to approve that. Because the writing has been so irratic this season and last.It's hard for me to believe that a room full writers are this emotionally unstable.I also wonder if the writers present something that is totally realistic for a particular situation, and Shonda does not like it does she shut them down and change it? I'm leaning to the idea of her knocking down anything that is remotely realistic.This season had only (2) really good epis. so far. The compassion between Mer/Der, there's NO WAY Shonda wrote that. Doom and Gloom (or) Seek and Destroy(take your pick) that's Shonda's M.O.

    Megan: I look at Shonda for Dark and Twisted. I never saw Mer as being Dark/Twisted.

    Gloria- I think Shonda definately has the final say on all episodes for GA. I think the writers do their part and then they go to Shonda for her blessings. As we have all said, we know Mer/Der will end up together but I think that Shonda is just letting us see the growth of both Mer/Der and then the magnetic pull between them coming back together will have everybody on the edge of their seats. (As people say it makes for good drama). For me, it is only making me a nervous wreck....because we want this couple together already! And so does Patrick and Ellen. I'm excited about the people meeting soon on the writers strike because that definately gives me hope for the remainder of the season. That also means we can see Shonda's plan play out with Dereck dating and Meredith growing and then the moment we have all been waiting for! This couple will get engaged! I think it will happen this season if they go back to filming. I have even thought of so many ways it could happen...some really good ones too! I know, I'm loosing it, but I can't help myself. I'm just a true Mer/Der fan at heart! lol

    Kathy: Me Too. I've been a Mer/Der fan since the first epis.I'm just not sure how I'm going to react seeing Der with someone else.I feel like Mer's sister and I need to protect her. I could just slap that nurses face for excepting his offer. Oh! This is going to be a Long week.I realize they both need to grow. I just wish I did not have to drink wine to get through it.I really need to be numb for this coming episo.And possible the one after that.

    I came across an article in the Tulsa World that said rose has signed on for 7 episodes. This is a good sign! She is not going to be on enough to even develop a relationship. 7 episodes! Then she is gone. Yea!! Nothing personal to the actor, I'm sure she is a great person.

    Yay! Only 7 episodes! We can all deal with that. I think we'll all be able to spare 7 episodes of Derek with another woman if Meredith and Derek end up being together FOREVER afterward. :)

    Kathy-- thanks so much for that link!! I love PD's comments-- and he is hopeful himself!! I am so relieved they are going back to the table in a week-- hopefully they can work things out and the rest of the season will be written for us! McDreamy02-- I agree-- lets sit back and enjoy the ride, b/c we really know MerDer will end up together. Anyone who thinks this season is bad-- what are you thinking? We've been brought back to the spirit of the original Grey's I believe. Rose-- just reconsider watching still. I think you'll find it less painful than you think!
