Kathy: Loved your post. I really hope Der does not sleep with the nurse either. I hope she is a bit more mature than Der and tells him he is in love with someone else. I sure HOPE,HOPE,HOPE. Gloria - You are right. You never know what Shonda will do. I just hope she doesn't take the Derek/Rose relationship too far. That is what I'm hanging on to, crazy I know but I've still got alittle faith in Shonda (even after the Rose thing) that she would not completely kill the best couple on tv!Posted 11/16/2007 1:00:00 AM #

I wish I could believe it will only be a few dates, but I don't. This has been totally predictable since the moment the writers had Derek say, but what happens if I meet someone...and it was common knowledge they'd already cast Lauren Stamille. OK, I said I wasn't going to read anymore spoilers, but I saw this article for Kristen on E....and it was about Rose being a McThorn for Mer/Der. You know what I don't understand, so many people are giving up on Mer/Der. (She even commented their relationship was boring). I read alot of the comments from the article and there were alot that still want them together but there were alot that say they are tired of them. They welcome Rose in and alot of comments where they really don't like Meredith. I blame the writing for Mer/Der for alot of the people giving up on them. They are tired of not feeling like this couple will ever be happy! So they welcome in somebody new for Derek because the writers aren't going to let Meredith grow up. I truly understand that to a point, but I just wish everybody would just hang in there and root Mer/Der back together. I also read where a few people commented on PD's interview with TV guide where he talked about the Mer/Der storyline and said they had gone as far as they could go unless she committed to marry him or got the help she needed. And he also said he was ready for his character and Meredith to grow realistically and he was looking forward to moving forward. I took that as if he is looking forward to Mer/Der growing from the place where they are currently and hopefully we all hope that means together. And naturally he did not say which way it would go with them. But I think alot of people read into his comments as if he was tired of the Mer/Der storyline and is ready to move on...so they welcome Rose. You know its a shame that Shonda can't see what she is doing here to Meredith and Derek and Patrick and Ellen. They are great together,... not apart and if she don't soon get them together and let us see their growth as a couple, people will loose interest because they will feel it will never happen for them! I just hate to hear people comment on not liking the Mer/Der storyline anymore....but how can you not if you ever were a true Mer/Der fan at all? I loved the ending of last night's episode. Is it just me, or is Bailey getting more and more emotional? Even though I loved the speech she gave to Derek, she was so much cooler as the competitive Dr. Bailey. You know what's really sweet? Derek and I play the same instrument! SAXES RULE! I even used to play the oboe, but then I switched. I loved the Mer/Der ending. You guys are right. Even though Derek might be dating, he still isn't over Meredith. I think that they really are great and I think that Derek will realize that S&M isn't enough in a relationship.Posted 11/16/2007 1:00:00 AM #

Kathy, I can not believe all the comments that you read that were dissing MerDer and calling them boring? Who are these people? They must be absolutely crazy! And I too, took PD's interview positively. He didn't say MerDer was done. He said he was looking forward to them growing realistically. That does not mean they are definitely done. All those people who commented so negatively just give up too easy! Rose-- I'm so sorry that you can't bear to watch it-- will you at least reconsider? It won't be pretty or fun, but it will be Meridith and Derek. Maybe apart a bit, maybe a mess, but it will be Meredith & Derek. I mean, they are fantastic together. They are fantastic individual characters too. And in the history of the show, whenever they are apart we still get those moments-- the looks, the indirect conversations... the reassurance that they still love each other and are connected even when they don't want to be. Hey Everyone: Sitting in Singapore, where the national TV has just about started airing Season 3- I have been absolutely as Patrick Dempsey and all you guys say "sitting on the edge" eagerly watching Season 4 on the internet! Kathy, I really like your positive attitude and your blogs! I too was so looking forward to a good healthy feel good serial/drama series and NOW THIS! ah well as you say it will and has to end well.I hope so! Bezzypal, are you serious? You like the new chic? She said maybe 2 lines out of the whole episode and that made you like her? Sounds like you just don't want Meredith and Derek together... let me just ask... has Der truly looked happy with anyone else? And anytime Mer has tried with anyone else... no one else is even in her league. Remember the disaster that was Finn? I know some fans kind of liked them together and he as nice and all, but just not on the same plane as Mer... I really truly CAN NOT IMAGINE either of them seriously be happy with anyone but each other.
