Well its finally here.....Our GA Thursday! The closer it gets to 9:00 the more anxious I'm feeling. As I said in an earlier post, I really hope Shonda is going to surprise us with Mer/Der. A good surprise that is. If Der wants to go out on a date, well let him.(even though I don't like that). Meredith will naturally NOT like that either...again maybe she needs to see Derek with someone else...but on the other hand she is trying here..maybe not as fast as we want her too but I just have a GUT feeling that they are going to be OK. I really don't think Shonda would split our couple up and leave us hanging! I'm hoping not anyway. I'm needing some support here guys...I'm normally very positive..and really still am, I'm just feeling alittle doubtful for some reason. Maybe its all the different spoilers that are flying around and I guess I know there is a chance things may not turn out the way we want them to. But, I'm going to tell ya, if they split up and we are left hanging, I don't think I can handle that! (ha) Its funny in a way...even my grown sons think I'm loosing it! I know exactly what you mean Kathy! It is just a TV show-- perspective is difficult sometimes! I think you are right-- Mer & Der are going to be OK, but I wouldn't expect that at the end of tonight's episode. There's 2 or 3 more epi's after this, so even if it doesn't look great tonight, do not give up hope! You know, I love all the characters on this show (well most) and I love the different story lines, but MerDer are the heart of the show. Shonda knows that. She created that. The heart may suffer a few tears here and there, but she will not stop it cold. I have faith. McDreamy wouldn't be quite so dreamy w/o Mer-- she's the reason he gives us all those delicious dreamy moments!Posted 11/15/2007 1:00:00 AM #

Hey Kathy, I have grown sons too. They know if MerDer ain't happy, Mama ain't happy, lol Its hard to know what to think, positive or otherwise, with the writers strike. I can handle spoilers, its what PD has said that worries me. Not just in his recent "thoughts on MerDer" comments, but in his TV Guide interview when season 4 started. He said in that interview, that a man gets to a certain age and wants to get married and have kids, and he's not going to wait around. At the time I didn't understand what he was talking about (with the show), now I do. I'm sorry that isn't positive like you want, but I do put alot of weight in what Patrick says and can't ignore it. I am really trying to hold onto some hope for MerDer, but if Derek is ready then he's ready. I don't like that he's ready and Meredith isn't, but he's only human. Grant it, he IS McDreamy, but sometimes nightmares can creep into our dreamy dreams. Lets just keep our fingers crossed that Rose will be alittle too anti-Meredith. Yeah, I think we have just got to think positive here and hope for the best. On one of the Grey's Insiders comments I was saying that alot of my co-workers also watch Grey's Anatomy and some of us were talking about it today that we have NEVER been so invested in a TV show as we have been with GA! I mean from the first episode you were completely hooked! And everybody says that same thing! I truly believe alot of that credit goes to Patrick and Ellen (as well as the rest of the cast) for having the magical onscreen chemistry that they share together! I know the other night when I was watching Patrick's Biography and the E! True Hollywood Story, it was mentioned several times about the onscreen chemistry that Ellen and Patrick share and ABC realized that they had a hit show because of it! Naturally the complete ensemble makes the show one of the top-rated shows on TV, I'm just saying because of Patrick and Ellen's chemistry I feel its the biggest reason for the success! As far as Patrick's comments from the TV Guide interview,I think he hinted around about the two directions that Mer/Der could go in whether it be apart or together because he said it could not continue the way it was going. I guess the surprising thing to me was....I thought things were going well with Mer/Der...very slow but Mer is working on things and Der said he would wait.....but for Patrick to comment that there could even be a possibility that things could end with these two...it was like..our hearts skipped a beat or something! We don't want him to say those kinda things. We like the interviews when he says, I hope Mer and Der do get married. Its funny, because I don't think these actors realize how we the fans hang on to every word they say when they are interviewed about the characters they play. We try so hard to make something out of everything they say ....we basically stress ourselves out. So dag on it Shonda........Do you see what you are doing to us and we haven't even see these last (4) episodes that are suppose to send us through the roof....(ha) Lets just hope by the last episode that Mer/Der will be back on track and Shonda can say to all of us Mer/Der fans....What were yall so stressed about? Well that was a funny episode. I'm still trying to figure out what role this Rose woman will play. I thought it was very interesting to see Derek acknowledge her in the bar but leave with Mer while holding her hand... interesting. Perhaps spending some time with the anti-Meredith will help Derek see why he is so in love with Meredith. Who knows I give up trying to stress about it and I'm trying so hard to just go with the flow ... surrender to the process and place a fair amount of my trust in Shonda. If I get burned, well such is life. I loved Mark at the beginning watching Derek and Sidney on a date...absolutely hilarious. Wow, we've seen Bailey break down more this season than any other. Lexie and Meredith and Thatcher is an interesting relationship. I see Meredith growing every episode and its refreshing. We got another tidbit into Alex's life but there's still so much we don't know. I really hope Rebecca comes back ... that was hot! Interesting to see where George and Izzie are going. I think they are on their way to being best friends again. I liked it...save and except the introduction of Lauren Stamile (a.k.a. Rose) but I can't call her Rose because I have to much respect for our GA Insider Rose so I'll have to call her something else. Just have to think of exactly what.Posted 11/15/2007 1:00:00 AM #

I thought the episode was good. Great acting by Bailey. I liked the scene with her and Derek @ the end. I also liked all of Mark's scenes with Derek...they are hilarious together. Glad to see that George and Izzie are going to be best friends again. And Meredith...I can see her growth as well. Its slow, but she is getting there. I'm glad we finally got the introduction of Lauren S. At least that part is now over. Ok we've seen her, not real impressive and naturally she has caught Derek's eye. (Which I didn't like at all). But, that all so familiar look that Derek has when he sees Meredith, the look on his face, just reminds us all that Mer is the ONE and the only one for him! He obviously is going to toy around with the idea of someone else (Rose) since Merdith is not ready, but it will not take him long to see he needs to wait for the love of his life...Meredith and when he realizes it SHE WILL BE READY unless she goes to him first! Okay so i loved the episode...especially when derek was upset about that boy being in a coma and he had to tell that girl who was his best friend that he wasn't going to wake up and meredith grabbed his hand, i thought that was so cute!!! And then at the end when the new "McSlut" was staring @ McDreamy and he grabbed Meredith's hand!!! I loved that part! Well except for him looking at Rose!! I don't think she's that attractive!! Also, I don't think Lexie is being a biotch at all. I acutally feel bad for her with the way Meredith treats her at times. I just felt like through this whole episode, everyone was in a way trying to prove that they had it the worst, not just Lexie.Posted 11/15/2007 1:00:00 AM #
