I guess that I trust Shonda. I mean she does love these characters more than I do. I do not think that George will leave, he can't he just got a big raise and they all have long term contracts. I do think that the song could be about all the couples, but I think that the words of the song really drive home the MerDer story. The song is call "The Story" and the show is called Grey's Anatomy. I've had that song on my ipod for about a week and I listen to it several times a day it's beautiful.I think that they are sending a message to the viewers with the song to have faith,Mer/Der will make it even if it takes until the series finale when ever that is.The question for us viewers is if we can trust and have faith. I expected a rough end of the season for mer/der you could see it coming.I won't freak, just as long as they stay together and work it out hopefully before next season,but I doubt we'll get that lucky.I fully expect to have to wait for season four to be halfway done before we get anything settled with them. George won't leave,callie will.I wish it did'nt have to happen ,but I can see why it would.Also der would not slap mer that would be jumping the shark.IMOPosted 4/11/2007 1:00:00 AM #

wow those lyrics really do seem to apply to Der/Mer what with the references to climbing across mountain tops (derek on the fishing trip), swimming across the ocean (both of them when he saved her), crossing the lines (when she "crossed over" to see the dead people), really all of it applies to meredith for derek. but you're right betsy, they'll use if for everyone i'm sure. 12+ hours til denny!Posted 4/12/2007 1:00:00 AM #

Spoiler notes, skip if you don't want to hear... Hi Angie and everyone. I feel alittle stronger about Meredith & Derek today. I am still just as worried about the spoilers, but I have some sweet friends here who posted some very encouraging words. So I am trying to stay more positive & just watch and see what happens. Waiting until the end of the series to see MerDer happy would feel horrendous to me. But I just cannot see Shonda ending this season without a strong continuing note of MerDer passion, somehow, somewhere. About the rumors of George leaving, I think you guys are right that George won't leave. I am counting on you for that! About Meredith being slapped, it sounds like Mer's stepmother Susan is going to die (SAD!) and it will be blamed on Meredith as being her fault. So its likely that her father is the one who slaps her. I agree that Derek would never hit Mer in a million years. I am very puzzled though because this is what Kristin said would draw Mer&Der closer together. There is complete contradiction between what Kristin is predicting and what ABC and Ausiello are now saying. Maybe Kristin needs a new day job. I don't understand the supposed change in plans for Alex to now have an affair with Addison. I loved him getting close to Jane Doe, what's going to happen to that poor woman's feelings? omg i haven't read the spoilers but who in the world would slap mer???? and i don't know who's going to die, but i think it was chik....(sp.) in here who said it might be the baby (mer's half sister's baby) and i thought that sounded plausible b/c the baby had medical issues previously. so if that's the case, maybe it's the half sister who slaps her. just a thought to throw out there. LMAO betsy about kristin!!!!! next week's epi is so near, but yet so far away still! ughhhhhhh, what are we going to do over the summer when we have to wait months for the new season???? and like you said betsy, they had better leave der/mer on a good note so we don't fret for 3 months!Posted 4/12/2007 1:00:00 AM #
