Ok wait a minute who is Lexi?? is that the girl in the bar?? NOOO!!! why must Shonda add more relationship drama! but Mer and Der belong together and I don't think some girl can get in the way of that! even if she is signed on for more episodes next season I don't think Derek will go for her because he loves Mer too much to let her go for some other woman, he made that mistake before he can't do it again! and I don't think this woman is going to be a friend to Mer I think she is going to be the girl who is going after Merediths boyfriend! We think that she is Meredith's half sister coming for internship. We think that she will be there (story wise) to help Meredith reconnect with her father and not with Derek.Posted 5/13/2007 1:00:00 AM #

Thanks Mcdreamy02! I don't know about bringing this girl in I mean after what her father did and said to her I wouldn't want to reconnect with a jerk like him. I mean first he walks out on mer and her mother when shes little, later they sort of reconnect, then susan dies and he hits mer, and then he blames her death on mer! I would never want to speak to a jerk like that ever again even if he were my father! He doesn't deserve forgivness from Mer shes been through so much her whole life and I think what he did last week just topped it off for her, that would have been my last draw and I'm thinking that with Mer it might be the same! and she has a fake father who actually cares about her the chief! hes a very good father to her who will support and protect her!Posted 5/13/2007 1:00:00 AM #

I do think that Shonda wants to reconnect them. The reason would be that Meredith is so much more like her father than she would like to admit. I think that the more she knows her father, the more she will know herself. It will help her become more healthy and better at relationships because she can see herself in a way that most people do not have the opportunity to. That's an interesting point McDreamy02. And I do believe Shonda has hinted in her podcasts about Meredith getting to know her dad later on. I'm pretty sure McBar Girl will turn out to be Lexi....now why she would only be around for 13 episodes if she's an intern is unclear to me, because you would think that if she was starting her internship she'd be at SGH for a while....not that I want to give the writers any ideas........ Maybe she's interning at Mercy West, but since she graduated from Harvard you'd think she'd go to the best hospital and it appears that in Seattle SGH is the best. I know Derek dismissed her in the bar, I just hope that if she is Lexi (which I'm pretty sure she is) Derek finds out fast that she's Meredith's half-sister and that ends any potential relationship possibilities. All I know is that if I were Meredith and Derek starting dating my half-sister that would end it for me. Wow....I can't wait for Thursday....hopefully we'll get more answers. Oh and Shonda and Betsy said they'd have a very fleshed out podcast after the season finale....I just want Christina and Burke to get married, Meredith and derek to be ok and the rest I can wait for next season, but I know I can't pick and choose.Posted 5/13/2007 1:00:00 AM #

Sorry to rain on the Burktina Fan Club parade but I honestly think the title says it all..."didn't we ALMOST have it all" I recks this refers to Christina and Burke. I heard a rumour that Burke hears that he didn't get chief and leaves Christina at the alter. Either that, or Christina backs out...seems that way in the preview....hmmm. They almost had it all. I don't get the job so I don't marry the woman I love? Doesn't make much sense. No one would ever schedule a wedding one day after a test like this and during a period with so much going on. I'm sure they will get married but with doubts. Do you really think Meredith is like Thatcher? Why? I agree...sounds weird that he'd walk out of the wedding because he didn't get the job. I could see him walking out if he felt Christina had doubts or something but it would have to do with Christina, not the race for Chief. I have no idea who isn't going to do well on the exam but I would guess it would be Christina what with the wedding and all, she hasn't been focused, and remember she told Meredith last week that Meredith wouldn't get as high a score as her...I bet that line was setting us up for something. I think Meredith is like Thatcher in that they are both very closed people and find it hard to open up to others, especially the ones they love. Thatcher had a hard time even talking to Meredith at first. I see the paralells there, but I don't see the clumsiness like the others did back when we first met Thatcher and Molly was in the hospital.Posted 5/14/2007 1:00:00 AM #
