Trisha, your comments where great! Thank you; you are going to be a welcome addition to our site! I do think that Derek is worried about hurting Meredith. I think that one of the reason that he told Meredith what he did was not only for himself, but for her as well. She needs to face this issue in her life. She needs to be more proactive and grown-up in many ways. She has a lot to learn about being in a healthy relationship; since she has never seen one modeled for her. I think that Derek is cognizant of not making the wrong choice again. THIS is the main reason that I believe he is being so introspective; he does not want to make the same mistakes that he made in the past. He wants his relationship to work out with Meredith, this means being honest and telling her the truth about things and how he is feeling. He lied to Meredith before and look what happened. I think that he is trying to make this a healthier and more stable relationship than any he has ever had. That is a hard thing to do and a hard road to take. I am glad that this is the road that he has chosen and think that in the end it is going to lead to a happier relationship for them.Posted 4/27/2007 1:00:00 AM #

I can totally understand that McDreamy02 and when I think about it it does make sense that he wants things to work with Meredith, after all he does say "I love you and I want you"......what worried me is Meredith's narration right after she leaves and Derek is staring at the ceiling and she says "too often the thing we want most is the one thing we can't have" Is she speaking about her or Derek then? Not sure what she is referring to there. As for the preview for next week I'm not understanding why there's the suggestion that Susan dies. Perhaps the reason Thatcher gets angry and slaps her is because she confronts him about his relationship with her mother and what happened all those years ago. Perhaps she accuses him of something and he is full of anger......it also looks as though Meredith gets mad at Derek...maybe she finally starts "breathing for herself"? Hi Y'all I don't knwo if anyone noticed it before, but at the end of season 1 episode 8 Meredith says "and sometimes someone just takes your breath away" after Derek showed her his land and his trailer and told her a little about himself. Since Shonda has kind of a rabbinic way of writing I think it might be a keyword again. Derek took Meredith's breath away by making her fall in love with him and now he can't breath for her anymore. I think they just go from being in love with each other to loving each other. In all long term relationships you reach a point someday you are not all butterflies anymore and the guy stops being your knight in shining whatever and becomes a human being again that you just love for being that special human being. I'm sure they will grow stronger and I'm pretty sure we heart something about that breathing again...Posted 4/28/2007 1:00:00 AM #

First I want to say that Iam a grown woman,with common sense,I'm intelligent and have a wonderful sense of humor. That said,I don't knowwhy (or) how but, Grey'sA. has taken over my life.I live think and feel passionately about this show.7 days a week 24 hours a day. I don't care where I am (or) what I'm doing grey's is always on my mind intensely. I cry,laugh get mad about certain events that transpire between the chracters. I'm a Mer/Der and Critina/Burke fan. I also love Callie. I can't sleep so that's why I'm up at 4:35am (Phila time.)I loved thurs. show "DESIRE" and I watched it again friday nite. Izzie/George situation, I'm glad he is finally becoming a man. He was driving me crazy with all of his whining and everyone picks on me attitude. I'm glad hee will transfer to another hospital to save his marriage. Callie deserves his full attention. Addision, What can I say. When she Litterly fell out of the stock room and her hair was all over her head. I almost missed the next 3 scenes, I was laughing so hard. She trying to straighten out her clothes was hilarious. I thought to my self"Way to make an exit Addie". I felt sorry for Mark. Now I'm wondering what he is going to do? Stay at SGH? Why? I did think it was funny when he tried to make Mer an offer to go to the on call room. ( funny part to me was he suggesting 20 minutes)Get real Seriously 20 minutes. (Then again that's just me). I'm So happy for Burke/Cristina. He is truly in love with her. Alex has grown so much lately. I'm really liking him a lot more.His compassion and honesty towards his patients is wonderful. I thought Callie was going to jack Izzie up on the elevator. She carried that scene first class. If there were a fight, my money is on Callie. Now my favorite couple in the world Mer/Der. Their conversation in the bedrm. First of all I don't see how Mercan't see that something is really troubling him. When you love someone the way they love each other, you notice these things and you force communication.You talk and you talk about the problem and work out a way to fix it. I'm usually NEVER angry at Mer But, thurs nite I was. After Der told her" I don't I just that day when you came out of the water trying to breathe for you. I LOVE YOU AND WANT YOU, But,I don't know what to you didn't swim, you didn't swim and you know how to. And I don't know if I can I don't if I wanna keep trying to breathe for you. The LAST THING YOU DO is get out of bed and leave the man you love. He's hurting and unsure about something. You kiss him and wrap your naked body around his and you staart talking. Even if it takes all night.He opened the door for communication by what he said. YOU DO NOT LEAVE him like that.(But then again I'm a pisces and that's just me)Loved, Loved the show. Hi ausfan, at least it is good for something I'm stuck with my first season dvd until next week (new month- getting paid-getting season 2...). Actually my husband is doing some business travelling and so I had a little time to watch episode 8 and 9 and the bonus material. Actually I don't know if they aired parts of that in the U.S. because there are some parts Derek and the chief actually talk about Derek being a candidate for chief and Dr. Webber being in some trouble and Derek talking about why on earth it had to be Seattle. It was supposed to be part of episode 1 season 1. I'll have to watch it again because I didn't quite get all of it. And I loved some behind the scenes interviews like Patrick Dempsey admitting he didn't know until 4th or 5th episode he was even married. As I wrote earlier on some spoiler thread I was thinking of Thatcher slapping Meredith. Derek never would because he is a decent guy and much more Patrick Dempsey never would do this on tv since his first wife said he beat her and later admitted she was lying about that (OF COURSE!!!). So I don't think he would be wanting to get related to things like that or even his character. I agree with Gloria - I'm so much an addict to the show. This is my Grey's philosophy: In 18th or 19th century somebody started to write criminal stories not starting with somebody getting killed and police finding out but he started by the reader getting to know the later killer and to understand his reasons and motifs. Grey's is just like that. If you watch carefully (and talk a lot about it on this forum) you get to understand how and why people do things. This actually sharpens your look on people surrounding you. You start to think about people having motivs deeper than you might know. PS.Meredith and Derek really have to communicate soon or serious fans will take over the writers blog with their own scenarios and plot developments involving these two. Just joking. I think!!! Also, hasn't their acting prowess taken off out of sight recently. Really they have both improved so much. You are right again, ausfan. So if Shonda ever reads this, I would apply for this job if I get to see all new episodes in advande ;-). Actually good writers do not come up with stories but with characters and if you have the characters run into each other stories start to develop on their own. There is some impressive good acting on this show and I was kind of thinking if they are running for an emmy or whatever the oscar for tv-shows is called. I think they are running for it, but couldn't decide which actor they wanted to support to get it. That could be a new fun thread: What actor do you think deserves an "emmy" (or whatever) for his or her work on season 3 of Grey's Anatomy?Posted 4/28/2007 1:00:00 AM #
