Ok, so this is my first topic..bear with me :)
Let's discuss the 14th episode "Beat Your Heart Out" that will air 2/5/09 (agonizing torture to wait).
How do you thing Derek will propose? The episode pics show that he's lighting candles and there are Roses all around him, but then we notice that he is talking on the phone (apparently to Addison). I'm also wondering how Meredith will react to his proposal, whether or not she'll freak out and run away or remain completely calm and say yes.
Also, I wonder what's up with Addison's brother, Archer? Do you think that Derek and Meredith will need to use "The Shepherd Method" to save him?

Well, I hope it is the roses and candle thing but I feel like it won't be. I'm pretty sure they said that Derek and the Cheif were going to LA but I doubt Meredith would go with him. I could be wrong though. The article about the crossover said "fiance" so I think she'll say yes. Maybe not at 1st but she will say 'yes'. I'm pretty sure she'll freak.
That was good for your 1st topic! Can't wait! I knew they'd do this to me! Why skip a week??? Private Practice isn't!

I hope he'll propose her in almost 2 weeks because if that's Addison's call she's interupting the proposing and there would be no proposing, I think.

Oh, and in this episode Izzie's going to find out what's wrong with her because in the trailer we can see her taking her blood.

I really can not wait!!! I can't wait to see how Mer is going to react to the proposal. I'm certain that she will say yes, but have no idea how. Will she totally freak out first??? I have a feeling that it will go down this way, generally-- Der will have a really romantic plan, which, before it gets carried out, will be interrupted by Addie and her needing help for her brother (merderforlife-- I like your idea that they may need to do the Shepard Method-- that would be very cool).... but he will still get a chance at some point to propose and it will be Dreamy in a very not perfectly planned sort of way, which will probably be better than the big formal romantic plan. Aaahh,,,, we get our MerDer ring finally! We fans certainly deserve it!
I hope we find out what's wrong with Izzie next epi, but some spoiler I read somewhere illuded to the whole aneurysm-type diagnosis would not be revealed until March? did anyone else read that? don't remember where I saw it.... I have a feeling that Izzie is going to be desperately running tests on herself and trying to figure it out and, again, no one is going to be noticing that anything's wrong or helping her.... UGH! Where's George?

Do you know what scares me? The pauses! Before Christmas we're waiting about a month, now we're waiting 2 weeks for new episode so if it's going this way I think March'll be here soon and we can see I don't know maybe just 3 new episodes until March... and I think the problems will be Izzie's big secret, just for now... you know every minutes counts :)

I am so excited bout the proposal too! I have dreamed about how this would happen for so long and I also think it will be unexpected. I mean not the typical proposal. Not sure how it will happen, but there is NO Doubt it will be very romantic and "Mcdreamy". I do think Meredith will say YES but will she freak out at first, maybe, but she will say yes to Derek! Someone else commented that it may be a proposal from Meredith instead of Derek. They would definately be unexpected. But however it happens, I think it will be surprising in a good way for the fans!
I love how Patrick Dempsey reacts when questioned about the Mer/Der realtionship. You have always been able to tell that he is a BIG fan of the couple and has alwyas wanted them to be together. I read an article yesterday where he was interviewed in Daytona @ the race within the last day or two and he was asked if Mer/Der . Here is his answer.
Q: As far as "Grey's," will Derek and Meredith get married or will she get cold feet? "The next few episodes, Derek's character gets a lot darker. A lot is coming up for him that distracts (from the whole Derek and Meredith relationship)." But he added, "They have to get married. I don't know how they couldn't. Possibly this year. I know the next few episodes but not after that."
This sounds like alot will be going on with his character in upcoming episodes which I hope will give us more insight into Derek. And again he says that they have to get married. I love that about him!
I also read where someone said the reason we may be having a repeat this week may because Private Practice has to air another new episode before catching up with the crossover. So, I don't know. I just hate that we have to wait 2 weeks instead of one. It will be a LONG 2 weeks for all of us but I guess ABC knows it will build the anticipation of all the FANS especially the Mer/Der fans!
