    I the podcast they said that they are not ready for Der/Mer truly break up because they can never truly get over one another. It seems that they are going to have them work on their relationship and have it evolve. Shonda said that Derek is a catch and that Meredith will never be able to let him go and vis versa. That was music to my ears.

    Betsy I had a thought regarding the chief.....maybe they rewrote his entire story for this season once ABC decided to let IW go because maybe Burke was supposed to be the next chief. I don't know. I can't think of any other reason they would have gone to such great lengths to bring him and Adele to reconciliation at season 3's end; only to totally do a 180 in the first epi of season 4. Wait that's wrong isn't it? Chief decided to stay during the finale didn't he? Okay I'm clueless then. Anyone else have any ideas?

    I think that they are going to be playing out Richard's story all year. I think that last year there was some reconciliation between them, but he has a long way to go to make up for all of those years of neglect. So they will play that out this season.

    Ok it's 12:46am and I'm leaving the rest of the drunk lawyers at my conference to go check out the podcast. I like the sounds of it Matt.thank god I brought my computer with me. I was able to download last night's episode while we were at dinner.

    I think that Der/Mer are going to be in limbo for a while. What I mean is that they are not going to have a label for their relationship so that Meredith can become comfortable and stable. I think that Derek will be ok with giving her the space that she needs to work things out. He understands her, now she has to understand her. I am not too worried after that podcast though. It seems pretty clear that no matter what, they are going to be together because they cannot not be together!

    I agree with u Mcdreamy I think derek now understand what's meredith feeling and know what she needs So he gave meredith more space let her think.
