I think you're right Matt .... Derek was right!
Tessmia, Seattle Grace has fallen in the rankings to 12th spot as a teaching hospital and everyone is reeling.
There was an ice storm and three women came into the ER with their limo driver who went through the window. Their husbands were in a separate limo that was also in an accident and they were badly injured; one was paralyzed, one had his vocal chords severed and the other one was really in bad condition. One woman was sleeping with another woman's husband. Rose is angry at Derek and acting like a bitch. Meredith suggested to Derek that they move in together so Meredith has been spending most of the episode dissecting that decision and she turns to Christina for advice, but Christina is so wrapped up in her own worries about almost having killed one of the injured husbands that she tells Meredith that her and Derek won't work. She then slips on the ice where an icicle falls from the building and lands in her chest. Meredith starts dissecting that statement as well. Meanwhile Lexie finds out Meredith slept with George. Alex gets mad at Izzie for telling Meredith that he's a good guy. Izzie doesn't get it. An army doctor arrived with the injured husbands and he caught Christina's attention.
That's the jist so far.

OHMAN....why do I suddenly think this season will be darker?
OK, Army doctor most definitely Mc....Mc something. McArmy? McFreeze? McPen? God he's cute. But Cristina's treatment of her interns...they really don't know how to do anything! It's funny, I can see where everyone is messing up!

I think Richard has let his emotions get the best of him. I don't think this season will be dark. I think it will be about learning and growing.

I love McArmy doctor. He has to stay and he can challenge Christina like no other. This could be good. There's definitely chemistry there.

I hope you are right, Trisha. I do have to ask though...where's Denny? I was under the impression we would see him in some form. I know he's booked for some episodes, I swear I thought the premiere was one of them.

No Rose doesn't stab Derek and telling Derek that she's pregnant is a joke that she uses to get back at him. The scene with Derek dying is just a dream that happens right at the beginning of the episode.
