GLORIA--no I haven't seen the Mazda commerical, probably because I always get up and do something during commercials! Dinofigg-its so good to hear from you hon! we sure miss you! I'm glad you had a good holiday with your family. I take it you are studying hard and getting good grades at Stanford? I hope IAAG is doing good, I do worry about her when we don't hear from her for a long time. Kat--LUCKY YOU to have had your vacation in Hawaii! I hope it was so special you'll never forget it! we understand when you're busy with school, but like Gloria, I miss you girls too. Hafsa, I have to say, this whole nurse storyline is really killing my interest in Grey's. I will still watch, but I don't even think about it between Thursdays anymore. They took away Burktina. Gloria--hey I'm really sorry you're having a Grey's frustration day. I wish the show didn't get to you like that. It doesn't me--I don't even think about Grey's anymore except when I talk on here. I'm glad too, because I didn't feel good about being that wrapped up in a tv show. We've all seen why its not healthy, putting ourselves at the mercy of tv creators/producers/directors/writers. The last people on earth any of us should be putting our faith in, right? I for one am happy to just enjoy tv like I used to again, without obsessing. Yeah it was fun while it lasted, with GA season 1 & 2. There was a magic that we will probably never see again. We are realizing more and more how much that was due to Isaiah Washington being a major part of the show. That Grey's is over. The best thing we can all do is move on. The holidays are here! time with family and friends; the practice of our faith; thinking of the less fortunate. Have a great weekend everyone! hugs ps Gloria, yes my sons are taking me to see Marie Osmond at the resort casino here in two weeks. She is doing a Christmas show. Hey BF! well actually Marie isn't that great of a dancer, I am just a Marie fan from way back, like I told you. Its really amazing she got as far as she did, but Mel B deserved to win. I was alittle upset that she didn't. Helio was really good but Mel was sensational. And that Maksim, I can't take my eyes off him he's such a good dancer, lol! Miju--those were the days, when those GA wisecracks were fast & furious! BF--I will answer your email tomorrow, I so miss chatting w/you too! I actually bought a Josh Groban christmas cd yesterday, but it will be a few days before I have time to listen. you get to see Mel B in person--you must be seeing her with the Spice Girls? you will love that I'm sure! I read that about Helio's engagement but it implied his fiance may have called it off becuse of rumors about him and his dance partner Julianne. Hey everyone, wow you girls have been having some great conversation here today! its refreshing to come on this thread and hear reality. IRISH-- sounds like you have a great job! I'm so happy for you to make another trip to the US. Hope you have a great time even with the work! Gloria, Hafsa--why I said it's not a guy thing but a Shonda thing (Derek/Rose shortly after declaring his undying love for Meredith). If they were being true to character sure Derek would flirt here and there, but no way would he be acting this friendly or kissing someone else. Derek would not do that until he was completely broken up with Meredith. I know this because I have sons who are like Derek about their wives/girlfriends. My 26 yr-old has been married 5 yrs and says he still has his high school crush on his wife. My 20 yr-old has had a steady girlfriend for over a year, he would take MONTHS to recover if they broke up and would never be interested in someone that soon. So, its a Shonda thing, because she is letting the writers move this stupid Rose storyline along, and very quickly.Posted 11/27/2007 1:00:00 AM # -

Two more points to make--Gloria, I respectfully disagree w/you about Sandra starring in a movie with Denzel Washington. I feel Isaiah is the Washington she should star with. His acting is every bit up there with Denzel's, imo. I find it refreshing that we are able to even air our gripes about PD here, as other threads don't seem to tolerate anything but the highest optimism. About Patrick being the new face of Versace--this is my gripe about him. His complaints about the demands of his job interfering w/family time, and how he wants to live the simple life. Yet Patrick spends his free time racing, working out, making films, doing interview after interview, and other jobs like this Versace ad campaign. None of the other GA cast, including Ellen, does this to excess with the exception of KH. The rest seem to choose to spend their off time with their families. I suspect being married to PD would be like getting the most perfect Christmas gift, and never being allowed to open it.
