   Hello everyone! gosh it's like a Grey's family reunion here these days! Dino, so good to hear from you! Hafsa, Gloria, hope you had a good weekend. Hope Irish is having a great time in the states!

   Florenck, welcome to this thread. I LOVE your posts. You seem very smart and savvy in your writing. Dino is right about why we do what we do. I'll give you alittle more history, in case you or any other newbies are interested.

   When IW was fired, there was major upheaval on this whole forum. Everyone was either for or against and it got very heated. This particular thread had a small but staunchly loyal following, and we mourned together the loss of the Burktina relationship. This was our refuge from the haters. Then we discussed what to do about the future of this thread. Some left because they didn't have the heart to post anymore. Some of us were both Burktina and MerDer fans. We talked about whether we should make it just a Cristina thread.

   In the end, we decided to continue showing support through our name for Cristina and Burke's relationship, but to just let the thread become whatever we wanted it to be. We were familiar with each other and wanted to go with whatever we felt like discussing. Some days it has been more of an off-topic thread than Grey's thread. Other times it has been mostly a MerDer thread. This season we have all been basking in Cristina's new love and the strength that has been written into her life and storylines. There has only been a handful of us who have stayed on through seasons 4 & 5, but now there are new faces again, which is wonderful.

   I've started a new thread with a different name variation, every time we've reached about 200 pages. This is an appropriate time to change the name, since we are nearing that again. I will hash this out with BF, who is one of my BFF's and Cristina's biggest fan, and will get back to you all about it. xxx rose

   Sandra--you are so funny about your kids. I wish you a wonderful time in the US and hope you get to see some of the Grey's cast! Can't wait to hear if you do!

   Michigan is alittle further on than Chicago, but one of my sons is currently working in Oklahoma. I may be joining him there for a two week visit next month, but it's kind of up in the air at the moment. I believe Gloria is in either Pittsburg or Philadephia, which is within commuting distance to NYC.

   I loved every moment of last Thursday, still floating on air over Derek's successful marriage proposal! My only complaint was that I wish he had put the ring on her finger when she said yes! I think that ring was a new one he had bought, from what it said in the writer's blog.

   And they have posted a MAJOR MeDer spoiler on another thread here, so if you don't want to know don't read it! But it has me extremely excited!!!

   Hello everyone on this amazing, post-fabulous Grey's morning. I too was blown away last night, a total roller coaster of emotions. Owen and Cristina, WOW. They are the most intriguing couple right now according to Ausiello, so you can bet they aren't going to break up for good. The emotion Kevin can portray on his face is just stunning.

   Being a diehard MerDer fan, I can't stop rerunning the MeDer scenes in my mind. Derek's hurt face when Mer said no at the kitchen table, Der begging Mer to say yes so he could have the confidence to do Izzie's surgery. This is what I absolutely ADORE about MerDer--Derek's emotional dependency on Meredith and his intense need for her. I cannot get over how PD can portray this so sensitively without any compromise to his masculinity. As for Meredith and the strength and kindness she showed to both Derek and Alex last night, I can't even describe how blown away that makes me.

   I was screaming and crying and stamping my feet over the elevator scene, from the moment Chief stepped in so hilariously. Tears still flowing with unbelief that MEREDITH and DEREK ARE ENGAGED!!!!!

   And crying over Alex and Izzie. Just don't make Izzie die PLEASE Shonda!!!!

   Oh and if there's going to be a wedding on May 7th, it's got to be Alex and Izzie. No question about it. Although it could be Mark and Lexie lol. But I know it's going to be Alex and Izzie before she dies. Get the wine chilling Gloria we're all going to need to drink with you!

   Helloo everyone!!!! Oh Gloria I am as wild with excitement as you are! SUCH an intense episode we have waiting for us tonight! Happy days are here again, yeah!!! Hafsa I am doing great, it's so good to talk to you again lol! BF is going to be posting here soon, but she is going to be signing in as Owen-Cristina Forever. She and I are big Owen fans now! We think Cristina belongs with Owen even more than she ever did with Burke.

   I have to say, McDreamy looks so freakin HOTT with the beard and his longer hair, I have fallen in love like a giddy teenager ALL OVER AGAIN! About the sneek peek with Derek in the kitchen pulling out the ring--this proves what a hardcore GREYS fanatic I am. That navy blue quilted jacket he's wearing, is the same one he wore in one of my all-time favorite MerDer scenes--the one where he brings the dog in to McVet, and finds Mer there in Finn's shirt and is insanely, jealously pissed at her. I have watched that scene about a million times and THAT'S the jacket! Brings back such delicious memories!Enjoy the show and talk to you girls later! luv ya! rose

   Oh I have to say how much I loved that scene where Bailey was demanding Owen go talk to Derek in the woods! When he said, people don't really say no to you do they? and she said, not when I'm saying please and I'm saying please! oh my gosh, TOO funny! Gloria I loved them all going out and getting depressed with McDreamy in the woods too! Hilarious, especially Callie!

   I think this week's episode is when Derek proproses. Then no new Grey's for a whole month.

   Hello girls! It is soo good to talk here again, I love you guys! Gloria, Hafsa, Belgian, good to hear from you too! No one has heard from Irish? where is she???

   Hafsa my son's wedding doesn't happen until June. I will probably be away visiting my out of state sons, off and on over the next two months, so if you don't hear from me much that's why.

   Gloria I am totally in love with Grey's again too! When Grey's is hitting it right, it gives me a kind of perspective on life that really helps me. Can't really explain it but I know you guys understand!

   I loved last week's episode, they are so intense lately! Hafsa I cried over Izzie too, and I don't cry often over Grey's. When Chief and Bailey and Alex stood there looking so sadly at her, that got me going, and when George started running down the hall I was done for. I just don't want them to kill her off! Derek will probably be successful with brain surgery for Izzie, but since's it's spread to her liver that means she needs a liver transplant too. And that would be a very difficult life for Izzie so I don't see it fitting into the show.

   PS About the question of who will get married--I believe it will be Alex and Izzie before she dies. Justin Chambers will probably get an Emmy for the scenes he will have involving that storyline. I'm already teary just thinking about it.

   Hello Gloria and the rest of my Grey's buddies here! Sorry I haven't been on in a long while; it's been busy. I love Grey's more than ever and can't wait till Thurdays every week. I agree with you 100% Gloria, season 5 has been outstanding. I have almost no complaints about it at all. In spite of how much she made us suffer the previous two seasons, Shonda et al finally got their act together. I think it's made many of us hardcore fans fall in love with our Grey's all over again.

   What I've heard about the upcoming storylines sounds great. I have expected for 2 years now that Shonda was going to need to give Patrick something meatier to use his acting chops on. I had originally expected it to involve alcoholism, but this breakdown is even better. PD excells doing intense drama. I thought his scenes in the last two episodes were his best yet. I feel like I have my old McDreamy back.

   The one thing about Grey's that really concerns me is the talk about Kathryn Heigl and TR Knight both leaving the show. I know many of us on this forum don't care for those two in real life, but I strongly feel that Izzie & George are intrinsic to Grey's. I just can't face the prospect of losing any of the original 5 interns, much less two of them. Like you said about watching the first and second seasons Gloria, I think those are the favorites for all of us, and I want to cry thinking about the five of them being separated for good. I am not good at that kind of thing, but I really wish someone would start a grassroots campaign to petition to keep George and Izzie, and to restore George's storylines on the show.

    Hello everyone, Irish, Gloria, BF, Hafsa, & Belgian! Hey Dinofigg! And hi to Little McDreamy and all other newbies to this thread! Just popping in to say a quick hello and I hope everyone is doing great. I thought the last episode was great. This season has been a big improvement imo. I am very upset about TRK leaving though. Not that I like him at all but i love George! Dang it I don't want George to leave! In case I don't get back here this month, my wishes for a blessed & happy Christmas to my fellow GA addicts! luv rose xxxooo
