    "Mer’s voice overs. I do love them also. She sort of opens the door up to all these other people." I agree, I really like the voice overs, I always have, especially since this show is supposed to be so character driven. I loved when SO/Cristina did the voice over, her voice is extremely soothing and of course the episode was about what was going on inside of her head and heart so, she did the voice over. But I do love the voice overs and it amazes me how when I read comments on Cristina especially after every episode and I do not get how the comments veer so far away from the show's voice over. I'm usually thinking to myself, WTF? Did you not just hear Meredith say in the voiceover......? How is it that these geniuses think that Meredith's voice over does NOT apply to the character of Cristina as well? I take each voice over on each show and see how it applies to each character because the voice over is the "theme" of that show. Yet like I said, it amazes me how folks are confused or don't get Cristina or boil her down to just being bad, after listening to the SHOW'S voice over which applies not to just one character, but ALL of the characters in some shape or fashion. How the hell could folks have truly listened to Meredith's voice over in the episode in which the horror of tremorgate began, and think that Cristina was being selfish or did not want Burke unless he was a surgeon? Cause that was what I read a lot of when I read comments on the blog. That's not what Denny's words were saying on that tape when they got to Cristina and Burke's closing scene. In that episode Denny did the voice over as Izzie listened to the tape and each part of Denny's voice over applied to the character(s) who were currently on the screen at the time he was saying what he was saying. That entire tape did not just apply to his relationship with Izzie, I mean short of hitting a viewer literally over the head, I don't see how much clearer it could have been. Yet, you get to comments in the writers blog and it's like nobody was listening to a word Denny said, during the final Burke and Cristina scene, hell, it was like nobody listened to Meredith's voice over in the beginning of the episode for that matter, unbelieveable.

    You see Shonda never likes to act like Cristina's issues are not as serious as her lead characters' or even Izzie's which annoys the crap out of me as a Cristina fan. I'm sorry but this tough Cristina does not exist for me and she never has. Guarded Cristina exist for this viewer, but not a tough Cristina, it just can't be sold on me, not with how I have seen SO play this character. I always watch Cristina's facial expressions more than I listen to the words caustic words that come out of her mouth. It is what she does and the facial expressions she makes that have ALWAYS conveyed just how fragile she really is compared to all the rest of those characters. I have ALWAYS found Cristina to be more troubled, more all over the place and the most of course, emotionally delayed out of all those interns and SHE is my FAVORITE character because of that. All I want to do is give her a hug, but I know she would NEVER accept one except for the rare moments like when Meredith was near death and she allowed Izzie to hug her. With Burke she is not going to allow ANYONE to hug her or to see the hurt, cause she sees herself as a failure, she failed in her mind and I know she must be terrified to let anyone see her hurt cause then she'd have to admit it and she does not want to feel the pain. She had that moment with Meredith at the end of the season finally but I'd bet as this seasons starts she's going to do everything in her power to act like the pain is over. Quite frankly, she should lose her mind, she should still be going through a serious breakdown, IMO, by all rights. This is a young woman who now has had two men that she's loved and become very attached to, a girl who does NOT form attachments and someone is going to try and convince me that she's done with the breakdown? Yeah, right. I could buy that if she was receiving ongoing therapy and had therapy previously when her father died, but she has NEVER dealt with his death, NEVER and it traumatized her for 20+ years of her life and counting. Then she decides at 28 to try and let someone in, this man, this Preston Burke, he's gone, just like that, and I'm supposed to believe that I nice ride on her motorcycle and bossing some interns around and TIME, will cure all, NOT. Sorry Shonda, NOT. When other folks see bitchy I happen to be able to see a little girl still crying out for someone to understand and her love her the way her mother should have. I still can't get over how it is NOT pointed out more clearly how her mother failed her. AND yes, she can't cry mommy failed me, no one can blame parents forever and not take their lives in their own hands and DECIDE to make better choices for themselves. BUT the fact remains that to me her mother is no little middle-aged woman who just wanted her daughter to become emotionally healthy and get married. BULLSHIT, when Shonda tells me that her mother took nine year old little Cristina to a therapist AFTER WATCHING HER FATHER BLEED TO DEATH, then I will say her mother did her justice and raised her with quality love not conditional love that came when Cristina did what she wanted her to do, or loved the things she wanted her to love. I don't like it being over looked that to me Cristina's mother was no different than Ellis Grey, both women loved their daughters but had NO idea how to show that. I am sorry, I could NOT get over Cristina standing alone in Burke's apartment and her oh so supposed "loving" mother was NO WHERE IN SIGHT. Unbelievable, yet believable to me because I have never thought that she loved Cristina in a healty manner, she's not nurturing, she's about appearances. I loved the scene with Meredith being there for Cristina, but just like viewers are interested in Meredith's family her relationship wiht them, I am interested in Cristina's relationship with her mother or lack there of. I mean how the hell could they not show a scene where her mother goes back to the apt. find her daughter who clearly was going to get married a minute ago and did not? You make the time in the episode to show that, even if you show me her mother BLAMING her for the failed wedding cause that is how I see her acting, but show it. Don't bullshit me and don't insult my intelligence by not addressing it. I mean I wanted to go through the screen and shake that women when she looks at Cristina and said that she thought she was always too emotinally stunted to ever settle down. I was like WTF? Lady, do you know WHY your very own flesh and blood, one and only daughter, only child, has grown up emotionally stunted? That's the really issue here, do you know why? AND if you do, did you ever try and do something to help your child deal with the emotions she's stifled all these years? This is pissing me off that it's not addressed, cause the audience that hates Cristina actually feeds off the it appearing as though the girl's own mother does not like her let alone lover her, so it's OK to hate Cristina, even her own mother does not care much for her, it tick me the F-off. It's NOT OK. I mean did she even mention her daughter's father that day, how can you not sit down with a daughter you truly love and mention how proud the father she loved and lost so tragically would have been proud of her or would have wanted to walk her down the aisle. These are ALL the things that I look for as a Cristina fan. I want her valued and it's NOT OK for the writers to write her as NOT coming to work to value herself as a person as she works on her innerself and for those she allows in her life to value her as well. She does not see Cristina, nor does she want to. There is no way in hell that she was a good mother to Cristina, no way in hell. She may have done the best she could, but if she was half the mother she should have been Cristina would one, know how to communicate much better and would have received therapy for the trauma she had gone through as a child and I see NO signs that, that has happened. She was just too emotionally paralyzed when this show began and it took her two and half season, screw you Shonda cause it's not one season nor one year for me just cause you pushed back time, but it took Cristina and is still take her some time to fully grow emotionally.

    You know what? I truly believe that Burktina was getting too big, they were overshadowing the couple that was supposed to be the lead couple. Cause it was like Shonda and Co. could not managed to write two couples trying to make it together consistently, at the same time. I do think aside from the back stage stuff this was part of the undoing of this couple. I have always thought that, I know that no other couple really interested me like they did. I think they were purposefully sabatoged, not that what went on back stage did not help in that, but I still think that they were sabatoged and I'm not too sure Shonda did not want it that way either. Did she want the bad press in order to get it? NO, but I never found her commentary on the podcast to be of any true, real support for this couple. You know, she NEVER really wrote all those great Burktina scenes, she just had to approve them but she was not the one who conceptualize those scenes cause she never thought they truly belonged together, I know what I've heared from her with every podcast comment that she made about this couple the few that she's even made at all about them. I mean there have been a couple of episodes where we as fans of the couple know darn well big things happened between them, yet you get to the podcast and there would be just one sentence by Shonda or Betsy, sometimes not even both of them would comment on Burktina, if at all. I'm sorry, but if you are a writer and you are loving and supportive of what you are writing about, and truly believe in the story, then you talk about it, you talk about your work, you sound like you love talking about it. When you don't that sends a clear message to me as a viewer that you don't care too much about a particular storyline when you can't find more than one sentence to comment on it, if that much. At any rate.

    At any rate, it is Cristina who I feel should be pregnant, not Callie. I like Callie but could care less about a baby she is having for George or Mark or any man that is currently on this canvas. She just does not have the history with any of them nor them with her that I would care about a baby storyline with her and George, Mark or heaven forbid Alex. Cristina on the other hand was not left with 8.7 million dollars Shonda, so what the hell will she get after losing the love of her life? He just vanished. And no Shonda the apartment is in no way good enough, nor is her "freedom". What the hell will she be left with to show that what she had with this man she lost was not all for nothing? Unless of course Shonda thinks that she can wipe it all out and make me buy that for Cristina, Burke was not her first love and next to her father who she watched bleed to death, the most important man to come into her life since that loss when she was a little girl. I think a pregnancy storyline for her would be amazing and make sense seeing all the issues she has with babies and motherhood. But since then she fell in love with the man and knew him, oh boy did she know him the writers at least made sure viewers knew that in that last scene for the finale. This time she would be terrified as well, but she would want to keep the child cause the child would be all she had left of Burke. But I doubt we will get that kind of storyline because it would put too much focus on Cristina and Shonda does not want that. I mean have you ever noticed how particularly SHORT Burktina's scenes were?
