  1. Forever friends of Burke & Cristina

If you are outraged enough with the writing for Cristina, go the writers blog and post there on the abc board. The more posts complaining about the writing for her the better. Those post they actually read. I don't mean the messager board, I mean the writer's blog after each show. However, as I watch Cristina, and from what I feel that I know of her character, she would grab on to Cardio even moreso now that Burke is gone. It's like a lifeline for her, I mean it's a calling for her, but it's like breathing for her. Her making the apartment messy and painting it all makes sense to me and DOES NOT mean to me that she is OVER Burke. Quite the CONTRARY, she decided to paint solely to try and get him off her mind out of her hair, and that makes sense to me, when the man you love, you were going to marry, you were willing to change some of your core/essense to try and live his values so that you could spend the rest of your life with him- leaves you, well if he's NEVER COMING BACK, why would you want to torture yourself, which she is by still living there. But, she's doing her best to be proactive and she does not sit and wallow in self-pity, so she decides to change the apartment around to be more of a physical representation of herself. If you think about it, there was NEVER any indication that Cristina Yang lived in that apartment. It had nothing of her, neither did her firs apartment either, her mother decorated it and when she told Burke that, she had a disgusted look on her face. I mean she may not care about designing and apartment, but if she had to choose for herself, it would be interesting to know what she would choose, for furniture, paint, etc.. All you know of her is that she's in love with Cardio, she loves Burke, watched her father bleed to death, sees her step father once a year, and is not close with her mother and ALL that really does not tell you enough of who ELSE she is. When I saw her painting I was thinking first, the color is really nice and second, was like, wow, she never asked or thought that she could paint the apartment while the man she loved was living there? I mean, you could not go through that apartment the way she went through the apartment when Burke left and point out all the signs of Cristina in that apartment. Now you're starting to be able to see the signs of her living there, those little things or big things in the case of Cristina, big mess, big bright hot color on the walls, but before there was nothing. But at any rate, if she did not love him and was OVER him like he did not matter, then why would painting her apartment be ALL about him? Cause she has made it about him, he is her motivation for deciding to paint it at all. It was about him, he's still affecting her, if someone no longer matters in your life, they don't affect you, they don't even register on your radar. If he was nothing to her than announcing that she is painting her apartment so she can stop calling it Burke's apartment would not be so important to even mention. Why even bring him name into it if he no longer matter and did not affect how she is acting in her life right now? So I get what I am seeing, and I love how she grieves, thank goodness shes not laying on some bathroom floor like Izzie, then about a month later she's calling some other guy her "true love". I'd rather an internal pain, doing things to try to make it look like you are in control and trying to change your life and move on and not sleeping around, or stealing someone else's husband to get over your love loss, rather than watching bullshit character like Izzie cry a fountain of tears over her dead true love, only to turn around and have another man take his place just like that. I just need MORE AIRTIME for Cristina more of her method of grieving, I don't need to see her grieve and try to get on with her life in different way because I don't see her grieving for Burke, I see her grieving for him. I just need more screetime for her. But I don't care what she paints the apartment the memories are there, that's why if I were writing this I would have her move out of that apartment. I mean she will not forget, but to have a fresh start to heal, I don't see how she can continue to live there, but Shonda's an ass. That's where I find it insulting to the memory of what Burke and Cristina had, IF Cristina does not as some point come to the conclusion that changing the apartment around more to her taste won't help her move further away from Burke and the pain she feels of being abandoned by him, THEN I WILL DEFINITELY CALL BULLSHIT. She's all gunho over this Hahn challenging Cristina to fight for Cardio, well that's fine Shonda, cause Cardio is no doubt Cristina's love, but sorry Burke was her other love, family kind of love, home kind of love, and it's gone and red walls, and messy floors is not going to wipe that out of her mind and I don't appreciate being insulted and shown that it will, not buying it.

"Mer is trying to get herself together. One of the problems I’m having with Shonda is. She has Cristina set up Like there is nothing wrong with her. And that her story is not worth telling. And that Mer’s problems are much worse than Cristin’s. That’s not true.It really pisses me off how Shonda treats Cristina’s character. She gives her no respect. There is no follow thru for each character’s story line. It’s like you said we are just left hanging" Thank you Gloria, someone who can see whatI see. Just because Cristina is a survivor that DOES not mean she does not have serious issues that need attention. She's had no choice but to survive, she is not understood by most, and to me she almost looks like she is desensitized to trauma and pain, because of what she saw as a child. I mean if you went through watching your father bleed to deatht then people insulting you torturing, missunderstanding you and your fiance leaving you at the altar would all in the end seem par for the course. It would be what you expect and that's sad and not healthy, yet I as a Cristina fan should be OK, with her baby sitting Meredith's issues when hers goes overlooked. You should flood the abc writers blog with comments like this, I do. I'm not talking about that rude message board, I mean the commnets that you can add about each show in the scoop section which links to the writers blog where Shonda and her awful staff or writers try to BS after each show as to what the hell we've just been put through that they constitute as good character writing. Shonda actually claims that they read that board. They started off the first maybe even second episode as I thought promissing in dealing with Cristina's loss now it's just like, I don't know, she deserves to be punished for being left at the altar in the form of Dr. Hahn. The writer of this past episode is talking about it like it's good old fun what is going on with Cristina and Hahn and I'm sorry maybe they should clue Sandra Oh in on the fun cause the way she is playing Cristina, I'm not laughing I ache for my dear Cristina. I don't find it funny at all. There was that brief line to disgusting Izzie how she was married to Cardio and Izzie is flirting with it and stealing her husband, that was funny, but once again that's a oneliner of funny. Overall Cristina clearly has not been tortured or punished enough for NOT being the woman Burke wanted according to Shonda's spin of BS. I mean I don't want Hahn to be her friend nor even her mentor, I just am annoyed that there are other pressing issues to deal with on a personal level that are being swiped under the rug so Cristina can what be "strong" enough to hold Meredith's hand, give me a break, she is NOT strong enough and I don't care how Shonda tries to claim that she is. Nor does my dear girl have enough self awareness to be saying something like "knowing your issues and dealing with them are two different things" WTF?! The only reason they uncharacteristically put those profound introspective words in her mouth, was all for the sake of Meredith and her issue. All I wanted when Cristina was looking in that psychology book was for her to come acrosss her own diagnosis. Can somebody tell me why the hell Meredith has a lock on ABANDONMENT AS A DIAGNOSIS? Give me an f-ing break, Cristina has been abandoned and I mean she WILL NEVER GET THE CHANCE TO SEE THE TWO MEN SHE BECAME ATTACHED TO IN HER LIFETIME AGAIN. While as long as Thatcher and Derek live and breath in Seattle, Meredith will always have chances with them, she has not been abandoned as Cristina has in terms of the men in her life. Cristina at nine watches her father bleed to death, he's gone for good, could he help that death took him no, but to a child they will blame themselves and spend years suffering that they could not save that parent with images of them bleeding to death, yet I am to believe that does not need to be addressed with this character. I am to believe that Cristina's mother who seemed to vanish as fast as the groom in the finale, seems like she took her mearsuring tape and left while her daughter's life was crashing around her, sure as hell does not look to me like she cared enough and/or had enough sense to get her daughter therapy after watching her father die. If she did, well Shonda, I'm gonna have to have a flashback or meet the therapist who has made Cristina the well adjusted individual we see before us today, SO FULL OF INSIGHT TOO, (I'm inserting an eye roll here, serious sarcasm". These are the types of comments I put in that writers blog and the more there are like this, the better. Anyway, it is very important that you flood that writers blog if you care that THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT CRISTINA'S MENTAL HEALTH AND HAPPINESS, VERY IMPORTANT. You at least need to show the support there, because they actually read those posts. You might also want to post your frustrations on www.sandraoh.com Sandra's best friend runs that board and every now and again she posts on there and she'll read some of the post when she speaks with Sandra. I post my complaints on there all the time, even her best friend, her name is Margo, is sometimes frustrated with the writing.

"From another point of view, the writers strike may be a blessing. Maybe Season 4 needs to end in Dec. That just maybe a good thing." This is exaclty how I feel. And while they are out on strike, they need to start handing out some pink slips to the Grey's writers, or take a few writing courses on character development while their sorry butts are out striking.

"Miju, I just thought of something. Why was it written for the Chief to be SO concerned about George being punked by Mark? We are into the 6th episo. and NO WHERE has it be WRITTEN FOR THE CHIEF TO SHOW CONCERN FOR Cristina’s needs. To check on her to see if she needs anything. To even mention therapy to help her cope.He is the Chief and head of the hospital. He shows concern for Stupid George being punked by Mark??? Who cares, thats not even important in the scheme of things.Cristina is the TOP RESIDENT SURGEON. He should be involved in her welfare." Exactly Gloria, all he could ask her was if he could have first dibbs on her apartment when we thought she was going to rent it out. She says she is sorry for the divorce the chief is going through with his wife, YET, he says nothing to her in return about her loss, absolutely NOTHING. You have got to post on that writers blog, because you like me, we are few and far between on that board and we should be as loud as we can, just to let them know they are not fooling the viewers who actually care for Cristina's welfare first and foremost. I should go add this point as well to Sandra Oh's website, I've already made the points we've discussed on the writer's blog and on Sandra's website but I forgot about the blatant thoughtlessness of the chief not to return concern in kind for Cristina's situation, yet she shows concern for his. He should be involved in her welfare if for nothing else then the writers had that bird obsessed patient from the last episode, describe the chief to be some kind of bird, I forgot the name of the bird, who sees ALL and watches over ALL, all I could do was roll my eyes when I heard that description which is probably why I forgot the name of the bird. All I could think about while listening to that description was, well I guess ALL does not include Cristina cause he does no appear to give a shit about her situation at all.

Shonda of course thinks she's slick. She seriously thinks that having Cristina say she does not want to be taken care of, lets the writers off the damn hook of dealing with Cristina's pain and loss, and it won't work with me. I will continue to flood that writer's blog on abc.com, about it as well. They think they are slick, look Meredith is the lead character but presenting her as being more damaged and even more devasted if Derek moves on is not going to wash with me, and trust that is what they are about to show and it annoys the crap out of me. Why? Every character on there has a chance with the person they first fell in love with on this show, Alex and Izzie still have a chance, Ava comes back for Alex, NO ONE is coming back for Cristina, not Burke, and NEVER the father she lost so tragically. Wher the hell is Cristina's 8.7 million dollars, what the hell does she get, they so have her storyline piggy backing Izzie's so, where's her reward for all the heartache? Her freedom? Is that it? Please, sell it somewhere else. Meredith and Derek have a chance as long as they both are in freaking Seattle at SGH, if Shonda wants me to see Meredith as being in a worse position than Cristina enough to warrant the lousy limited screentime they have been giving to Cristina's issues, then Derek will not only have to marry another woman, she'll have to have his first born child, until then NOT ENOUGH TIME HAS BEEN USED TO ADDRESS THE ONLY CHARACTER ON THIS CANVAS WHO IS FREAKING OUT OF CHANCES WITH THE PERSON THEY FELL IN LOVE WITH. Not only is she out of chances with Burke, she, unlike Meredith will NEVER see her father again, Thatcher is a pitiful excuse for a father, BUT he still lives and breathes and that give Meredith chances with him as well, for them to resolve their issues. George and Callie will no doubt according to spoilers be dealing with some unresolved issues in the future, that's they are not done. Callie should be done with his a/ss but they are not done, not by a long shot. But once George leaves Izzie, Alex is right there waiting as always, heck he was carving a freaking pumpkin with her in the last episode. Do I expect Cristina to wine and cry about her situation and want to talk about it? NO, it's not in character, but I do expect the one character who is suppose to love and care for her to continue taking care of her or trying to. I expect Meredith to not stop talking about her concern for Cristina. But I won't get that, I will be led to believe that Meredith is in a more devastating position than Cristina, and Cristina will be there taking care of her all the time and written to act like she is strong enough to do so, please, give me a break. This is all about not caring about Cristina, as far as her just being a sounding board for Meredith, and to make sure that they don't have to deal with how Cristina is devasted by the loss of her first love and the only relationship she's been in for three freaking seasons, and more importantly so they don't have to deal with the character in that relationship who was played by the actor who caused backstage unrest. Well, they will not hear the end of it, I don't give a rats a/ss what IW did, or if Burke was or was not liked, I want Cristina's issue dealt with, I want her grief dealt with for more than 2 freaking seconds an episode. I'm tired of it being overshadowed, when I have stated the freaking obvious THAT SHE IS THE ONLY CHARACTER WHO WILL NEVER HAVE CLOSURE, SHE WAS LEFT PERIOD, NEVER TO SEE THE PERSON SHE LOVES AGAIN. SHE WAS ACTUALLY ABANDONED TWICE, FOR GOOD, BECAUSE HER FATHER DIED RIGHT BEFORE HER EYES, WITH HER HELPLESS.. Not that he could have helped that, but that pattern of being left by men who she's become attached to has to be addressed, and she has been left unlike any other character, the other character may have been abanadoned ie. Meredith, but my point is she still has a chance for closure and to resolve issues that Cristina will never have. She is getting angrier and angrier inside and yet this is NEVER dealt with, her anger is not going to help her grow or deal with the real issues, it just festers. Yet I am to find it acceptable for the writers to have Cristina taking care of Meredith all the time and not the other way around or at least to show Meredith talking to somebody else that she is still concerned for Cristina, give me a break. And where the hell is Cristina's motorcycle? On one somewhat positive note, and I say somewhat cause if no growth and insight comes from it I will become annoyed by it, but I do love right now Callie and Cristina bonding. But once again, contrived that Callie moved in, I guess I can spin it by saying Callie does not want to be alone and she is still that girl that wants to fit in, but she is wealthy and has no financial need to sleep on anyone's couch. But I'll let that go for now until Shonda F's it up, something that could be a great relationship for the insight it could bring.

I don't want Cristina to kick Izzie's butt, let Izzie be the violent raving luantic. I just want Izzie to get away from my dear Cristina. Ugh, I cannot stand Izzie, therefore, I do NOT enjoy seeing her mug in scenes with Cristina.

Yes, Sandra does like your nerdy type men. Although Andrew is a bass guitarist in his band so I don't know how nerdy he is, bass guitarist are not my opinion of nerdy, awkward, eccentric yeah, IMO. They've been together for at least a year, they were on the cover of some magazine based in CA in the fall of 2006 for falls "cutest couples" or something to that effect. He may be short but when they are both in flats he is considerably taller than her and you can see one or two pictures of them on www.sandraoh.blogspot.com I think in the archives under sightings. I love that site cause they have so many great interviews of Sandra's. Here it is, if you scroll way down the page where it says, "Out and About", you see her and Andrew walking holding hands and he is much taller than her, so she must really be short if he is considered short. http://sandraoh.blogspot.com/search/label/pictures%3A%20candids

I can only see MAMA Burke once again telling Cristina everything that is wrong with her and how she screwed up. I will be bold over in shock if we get the opposite. I'm still reeling over how Cristina's mother just vanished into thin air as well and the writers thought it not important enough for Crisitna to have scene with this woman post being left at the altar? Even if the scene included her blaming Cristina cause like Burke's mother that's all I see Cristina's mother doing. The only reason the woman hugged Cristina before the wedding is that Cristina was doing what she wanted her to do, the only thing she wants her daughter to do and that is get married, idiot woman. You should support your children and what makes them happy not what makes you happy. AND to make matters worse she insults her daughter while hugging her with that line about her thinking she was too emotionally stunted to ever settle down, WTF? Yeah she has been emotionally stunted but you as her mother should not only be aware of that, but you should sound like you know WHY she your one and only daughter has such difficulty with her emotions. However, you should not sound like you are putting her down because of it not if you know her trauma she suffered in her childhood, again, WTF?

Hey Gloria- My screen name by the way is Sandra Oh's middle name in Korean, it means pretty pearl. So I believe her full name is Oh Miju because it is my understanding that in Korean culture and Chinese as well the family name or what we call the last name goes first. If you ever visit www.sandraoh.blogspot.com they have all these magazine interviews with her in the archives and in one of them, it list her Korean name and the Korean names of her immediate family members, I think it's the article titled something like 'Sandra Oh Is doing just fine...' something like that, I think it was sometime in May, like just as season three ended cause it talked about what she would be doing for the summer. But all those interviews are so interesting, she just always gives such interesting and introspective interviews. Anyway, the only thing I don't know if I want is for her to move in with Meredith especially if Mer/Der are back together I don't want Cristina written as some third wheel or nusance as I did not like Derek's comment when he complained about Cristina sleeping in his bed that time she slept over in Meredith's bed, did not like it at all. I understood it, but as a Cristina fan I was pissed with Shonda and the writers for putting my favorite character in the position of being complained about by Derek, was highly pissed off by that. If Shonda wants to create problems for Meredith and Derek she better keep Cristina out of it cause that is a sure fire way to make me turn on any character. Shonda just needs to get that SO/Cristina are a supporting actress and character HOWEVER in NO way should this character be written or used as some nusance for her star couple that is unacceptable to me. It's mainly unacceptable cause I could write at least a 20 page paper on all the avenues and angles they could take Cristina that would have NOTHING to do with any of the players they currently have on screen, this character is way too interesting to be wasted by being used as some tool to cause trouble for some other couple. Also, based on everything I've read Meredith and Derek will be back together by episode three if not the first episode. I don't know if Izzie needs to be kicked out of her home but she does need a kick in her backside from someone. George and Izzie bore me to tears, my goodness I can't buy them on the level of true love, nor on the level of lust, I just can't. Callie, I just can't wait till the get her away from George and Izzie so she can go play with the adults, this storyline and the two characters she's been saddled with playing opposite of is insulting to the character of Callie IMO, it's ridiculous, unbelievable.

I have no idea what the hell Shonda and her idiot self is going to do. Quite frankly, I simply will NOT buy Cristina in a relationship with anyone this season. Heck, I won't even buy her flirting with anyone and if you ask me her new love interest needs to be introduced in the season 4 finale (if the show last that long) with a hint that this person might be a good match for Cristina. I'm serious, Shonda conveniently pushed back time so three years have been made into one, so I have no idea if season four will take place in one year, I doubt it, but by the time season four ends it had better be six months. I just can't buy Cristina and anyone seriously unless a year has passed, and six months might be tolerable, but that would be pushing it for me as well. This young woman had NEVER been in love before Burke, yeah she was shacked up with Marlowe for three years in some open relationship cause she said that she use to cheat on her boyfriends, "use to" are the operative words since not once did she cheat on Burke or consider doing so. So, I hope Shonda does not insult me by acting like Burke was just another notch on Cristina's belt and it will be easy as rain for her to move on, sorry won't buy it. I'm fine with Cristina getting two scenes an episode if that needs to be the case, so long as the focus is on her being the best resident she can be with her new batch of interns. Then the other scene showing her continued struggle in private just to focus on having the strength to do the everyday mundane things without Burke, like sleeping for instance since she can no longer sleep alone and here it is in season four she will have no choice but to learn how to sleep alone again. I'm fine with that cause it may not be enough Cristina for this Cristina fan, but at least this route will not insult my intelligence. This route I can buy with no problem and it will honor the first love of Cristina's life and emotions she has never felt before. I understand that people handle loss in different ways but I would rather not watch Cristina go bar hoping for no name sex like her best buddy use to do, and I'd rather her not go out on the hunt to see whose husband she can steal or sleep around with like Izzie has done in the wake of her so called grieving for Denny. Please let one character on this show for once, grieve and hurt without trying to numb the pain by causing themselves further destruction by doing destructive things.
