Lay Your Hands On M
I just stumbled over a casual picture of dempsey and ellen together, and the first thing that came to my mind, is that they could really be together in real life. I mean, it looked natural, and that is, as some here has mentioned, one of the things that made this show great. The chemistry between them. Well, this was just something that came to my mind a late night in Norway. But I don't think any other charachers in this show can enjoy the same chemistry.Posted 1/21/2008 1:00:00 AM # -

Put your self in Derek's position. You love this girl, but she is insecure, a bit shilly-shally and in fact, constantly leaving him. That is not easy to work with. I am thinking that we perhaps are seeing the age difference between Der and Mer and the problems it brings. He is ready to settle down, but every attempt to get Mer along, results with mer's withdrawal. And how are you supposed to build a future on that? On waiting and vague whishes and emotions. And this "almost there" thing is gettin' old. It is not enough, and I don't blame Der for checking out the menu so to speak. But I am afraid that we'll just have another season with Mer/Der sending each other looks and so on. I did really suppose something to happen, in the fishing trip episode(season 3 I think,) when Derek talks to her at the bar, and she replies that there's too much water and so on, Derek says "please" and to me it seemed like she was not taking his hand out of convinced love. But this is just my thoughts, and let's just hope the strike ends soon.Posted 1/12/2008 1:00:00 AM # -

There are clearly heavy emotions among the fans, but this is not as black and white as it may seems for some of you. Derek is right when he says that they were not together, like really together. And I think that some of you might be asking too much of Derek. He's just a guy, and I agree that bringing up the marriage-part again, is irrelevant. Mer has to move on from that part of their history. I think Derek has declared his love to Mer strongly enough numberous times, and it was Mer who wanted to brake up in the first place. But again, the age-difference could play a major factor here. But I think that Rose is going to convince him that he really wants Mer(again...) He did not seem happy to take rose out, and mer/der have this bond which connects them anyway. Last, I just want to say, that George is annoying me. He knew perfectly well that Meredith did not know about Rose, perhaps it was for the best, but anyway.Posted 1/12/2008 1:00:00 AM # -

That was a good episode actually. I was a break up, and it's for the best really. At this moment, I think a relationship with Meredith would be very hard. She's not steady, rather insecure and perhaps damaged... But of course, we see the effects of the strike here, hoewever, I think the episodes to come will be very exciting.Posted 1/11/2008 1:00:00 AM # -
Crash Into Me, Part 2
This is indeed interesting. The show has somewhat stranded. Not much progress in my eyes. But my opinion of this thing with rose and derek, is that it seemed like a thing he just had to do. Get it out of the system or something. But as far as I can see, the der/mer relationship does not seem to be lively anymore. It's just an addiction. When that is said, I think it very strange that they should ruin the mer/der relationship again. It would not be realistic, and with all them love declarations it would be silly. And can we imagine the show where rose and derek are together, and meredith finds another? Then that part of the show would be static, and other characters will have to take their place. Don't think that will happen, so I expect a solution to this very soon.Posted 12/11/2007 1:00:00 AM # -
Crash Into Me, Part 2
I agree. That their relationship is no longer written realistic, is the same feeling I've got. The writers know that the fans want them to be together, so they have to postpone their happiness. I must say, that I really think that Mer/Der will happen. This thing with Rose seems a bit awkward, maybe she's dying?:P But seriously, how can he one day "ask" her to marry him, and then forget all about her the next and move on? I would say that it could not happen, not just like that. Perhaps this strike is good for the writers. Some time to reflect and really think through the next step.Posted 12/10/2007 1:00:00 AM # -
Crash Into Me, Part 2
Let's be realistic here. Derek is a human! Even though most of you want him to be the perfect guy, and waiting for Meredith, I can't really blame him for seeing other women. Mer/der are not together, and he can't just be waiting all the time. Mer/der have been through a lot, and declared their love for each other some many times. Therefore I think this relationship suffers beacause shonda knows how much the fans want this relationship. It is the real nerve in the show, and I think, how much more can we, and Mer/der take? If there are more obstacles to come in their relationship, maybe they just are not made for each other. Maybe she has to dump Derek to grow up? Who knows, this is just theories of course, and won't help our characters I think. But something big has to happen soon. I do not want a repeat of season 2,where they just were looking at each other and wanting each other.Posted 12/9/2007 1:00:00 AM # -
Crash Into Me, Part I
Is it not too obvious that when Derek has told Meredith that he wants a real relationship, Rose pops up and kinda "offers" it to Derek? No faith in that relationship at all, so don't worry. Would be a cool twist though...Posted 11/27/2007 1:00:00 AM # -
General thoughts about the show
After some watching and rewatching, some things have come to my mind. First of all, is it that the nerve in the show, is the thing between Meredith and Derek. After a quik glance at this site, I could see that this relationship is what really concerns people. In the first season, which is the best I think, the relationship between der/mer is what really makes the episodes. The writers know this, and we've seen different twists regarding this relationship. And now I'm starting to feel, that I have no room for more twists between them. Not because of the obvious reasons, but because it's gettin' old. Can we handle another season where all they do is look at each other, and they both know it, but they can't do anything with it? Perhaps it's time for derek to nearly die, and Meredith saving him, realising she can't live without him. Point is, they have declared their love so many times now, that they have to do something about it soon. If there's going to be more twists, which I believe, please don't bring Finn back. Could not stand him, and it would be silly, especially since Meredith declared Derek as the one. Not easy to see where I'm going with this, but this thing between Derek and Meredith has to stabilize in one way or the other. I would prefer they got back together of course, but that is too simple I'm afraid...Posted 11/15/2007 1:00:00 AM # -
Did you read Ausiello???
Never thought I was going to write here but. I read the "spoiler", and it was expected; things will get more complicated before they get any easier. Pretty easy to figure out how it will be, but I think they should just get together soon. If there are new persons involved, as it seems, we'll just have a repeat of teh conflict with Derek/addison and Meredith/Finn. The most natural conflict between derek and Meredith is of course that she is still an intern. However, this will of course work out the way it should perhaps. I believe great protests are in order if not Der/Mer happens... Anyone know how many seasons are planned?Posted 11/14/2007 1:00:00 AM #
