81. Forever friends of Burke & Cristina

    Hi Girls,

    Happy to see everyone enjoyed the show thurs. nite. I know I sure did. So, it looks like I was right AGAIN. Izzie will be exiting greys end of season 5. Hahn's screaming match about Izzie/Denny seems to be the opening for Izzie to go.

    It was told to me that KH is VERY DISGRUNTLED about the show and her status on the show. She STILL  thinks this show should be  ALL ABOUT HER?????

    Cristina was right "she is the president of fantasy land!!!" She is truly disillusional.

    I for one will not miss her at all. Sure happy to see her 15 minutes are up.

    Does anyone else remember when Shonda said in an interview, that she had no plans to write KH out of Greys??? Is it just me or what???

    Doesn't this sound like the same thing she said about Burke NOT LEAVING????

      Also seems like the new intern(sadie) gets Lexie and the other interns in some sort of trouble at the hosp.How can she get them in trouble, she just got there??? Oh well.

    Hey BF,

    OMG was Cristina just wonderful tonite. You coined it right BF. She and McHottie are going to blow us away this season. I'm so happy for her getting a personal life again. You know Cristina/Owen are going to be smoking hot on the screen. I'm so loving this, I could just cry!!!!  Wasn't that scene just SOoo special when she went into the on call room and closed the door and told him about her dad??? I was smiling and my eyes just teared up.It still hurts me when she talks about what happen to her dad. I thought about how she handled that situation, and thought, Burke taught her how to be more sensitive and caring. That truly was the softer side of Cristina. Man Oh Man when he looked at her and said "single malt scotch" I just about lost it. I am so happy for them, I feel like my heart will  burst open from joy.

    It's like you said, they both have some healing to do and they will do it together. I so love that. I'm looking forward to next week. Not sure about Mer,s old friend. But as long as Cristina/Owen are on screen I'm a happy camper. Life is good!!!

    I did think that part with Der getting Mark to seduce Cristina was HILARIOUS!!!

    When Der approached Mark with the idea, my first thoughs were there goes the FRAT BOYS!!!! The two of them are so immature, but I still love them.

    What about when Der came home and Cristina/Mer were on the bed.That was a funny scene. When he said I'm going to take my pants off now, if you want to stay, and Cristina jumped up and said NO!! Girl I was on the floor laughing my head off.

    I don't know why Der even bothers to get annoyed with Cristina. He and Mark really are no better. The Frat Boys, I love that title I gave them.

    I really enjoyed the show. For me Cristina/Owen made the show tonite!!

    Dr Cristina Yang Rules AGAIN, AND AGAIN!!!!!   love it!!!!!!!

    Hello Nikki,

    The way Smith was let go is the usual with Shonda/Co. It appears that Shonda told her in Sept. that she was being written out. Sept was when they filmed last weeks episo. What I don't get with these hollyweird people is why they can't admit to why they are firing someone.  For me it just comes across sort of shady on their part.

    We will NEVER know what the deal was. I don't think people in hollyweird know how to tell the truth. They truly do live in fantasy land.

    Your right that the show has a lot of ways to go. There are so many stories to tell and finish. Stories that envolve some of our favorite characters.

    Hahn's leaving won't effect the show. In my mind she never was a main character.

    It's not ABC's fault. (sort of) (never thought I'd say that)

    They let Shonda run with the show. Everything  was fine up till season 3, then 4 etc,etc. 

    As I've  always said this is ABC's $$. I think they pay more attention to what Shonda does with the writing like never before. If ratings drop, fans are upset,then advertisers run for the hills, which causes loss of $$.

       Us loyal Greys fans know how weak Hahn's storyline was from the start. Remember Mark/Der calling her the NEW BURKE??? P L E A S E !!!!!!!

    This character was doomed from the start. Because Shonda/Co mishandled season 3-4 so badly. They have not recovered from that yet. At least not until McKidd showed up. He is the only GOOD THING that has come to Greys since season 3.

    I asked a question on p-age 155. Why was a new cardio surgeon coming to Greys? Last week I received some info about Hahn leaving, but I dared to believe it. I've NEVER liked Hahn. She has not taught Cristina a single thing. For Greys to go from Burke to Hahn was a joke.

      Now ABC is saying they NEVER liked her?? HELLO!!!! And Shonda saying it was not her idea to fire Brooke Smith.

    REALLY people we believe anything Shonda/Co says??? REALLY!!!!

    If so, I have (2) bridges to sell to you.!!!!

    I think ABC jumped out in front of this before the fans started running out the door.

    I don't believe they cared for the storline of Callie/Hahn. I think they listened to all the hollering/screaming of the fans and put a stop to the madness before it took on a life of it's own. We were getting into a point that Mer/Der were only seen at the end of the show for a few minutes/seconds. And Cristina for only a few scenes, if any.

    It's NOT GREYS without the foundation. You CANNOT do this show WITHOUT these Characters They are the foundation!!!. They are what the other story lines are built from.

    Well I'm happy that her 15 minutes are up. I sure won't miss her. She never brought anything to the table as far as I was concerned.

    Let's just hope this new cardio. Dr is about TEACHING her residents about medicine.

    Hey Girls,

    Thanks for the Congrats. To say WE ARE HAPPY HERE IN THE US would be an understatement!!! This is history not only for the US, but the WHOLE WORLD!!!

    Was up late last nite. People all in the streets EVERY WHERE hugging, crying it was AMAZING.  All that said, now back to what's REALLY IMPORTANT  greys!!!!

    I hate to say,  but didn't I on  several occasions say that Hahn brings nothing to the table??? That Shonda gets these ideas and runs with them and doesnot care if they will work or not. She doen't listen to the fans, she does not listen to the actors. It's only when ABC steps in and says this is how this is going to play out, since it is ABC's $$ on the line. She only put Mer/Der together because ABC stepped in when she was out of control with the George/Izzie MESS. And the ratings hit rock bottom. She is a person that DOESNOT LEARN FROM HER MISTAKES!!!

    I feel the show should be written for the long steadfast Greys fan. If they stay the course with writing like this was season 1 and let everyones story line progress while along the way adding new characters, that will keep the long term Greys fan and bring in new fans.

    I have said if she puts Callie/Hahn in front of Cristina, Mer/Der the ratings will suffer.

    I never believed the fans would stand for it. Which just shows that even TODAY, Shonda still DOES'NT GET US LOYAL FANS. And that a shame.

    Rose,

    You are too funny. A nervous breakdown now, that's a good one. As always you are so right. I don't know why I let this show push me over  the edge everytime.

    Trying to stay happy and hopeful. But, for some reason , this week I feel it slipping away. I'm hoping episo. 5x08 is not the end of season 5.  I could see the hand writing on the wall, ever since last Dec. when Shonda mentioned this new direction she was going in. And that interview she gave earlier in the year about Mer/Der being together, but she NEVER said they would be happy. I just feel the mess coming.

    Like I told Hafsa I may have to drop Greys for a few episos. after 5x08. If nothing is going on with Cristina/McHottie or Mer/Der then what would be the point???

    I'm not jumping ship, I feel a need of a break from Greys, before I loose my mind all together. I may have to do what BelgianGrey does and check in every now and then. Right now, I don't have the strength for another season 3-4 disappointments. I just don't. So, I'm looking forward to thurs nite and next week may a little hard on me. Depending on what direction Mer and this Sadie go.

    Shonda has not seen the wrath from the Mer/Der fans yet, like she has from the Cristina/Burke fans.

    I'm really hoping I'm wrong. But, my heart is saying something else. I'm not even mad at this point. I'm so calm, it's scary.

    Hi Girls,

    So, Hahn finds out thurs nite about Izzie/Denny and the heart?? I was wondering if the writers were EVER going to let Hahn find out about that??

    So thurs nite is a competition for a solo surgery . I just hope that there is NO PROBLEM with Cristina/Mer's relationship because of it. Since Der will be going to Bailey to complain about Cristina interfering with him and Mer. I just hope Bailey sets him straight.  (the solo surgery it has to be CRISTINA HANDS DOWN) Her confidence in the OR is amazing.

    Now, that I think about it why is Der such a weak baby. I don't understand why he just can't sit down with Mer and tell her how he feels.  They both act like they are walking on eggs around each other. This is ridiculous!! They are suppose to be in love with each other, so, WHERE IS THE LOVE????????

    I now think of Der/Mark as S+S  Shepherd/Sloan better known as the FRAT BOYS!! 

    I'm still looking forward to the show.

    Hey Girl

     You know if Shonda messes with Cristina/Mer relationship I'm going to blow my top.!!! SERIOUSLY!!!!! Mer/Der and Cristina/Burke are the foundation for this show. With Burke gone the foundation is weaken. Messing with Cristina would really be a big M I S T A K E !!!!! Just because Hahn took over Burke's position as Cardio Surgeon does NOT PUT  THE FOUNDATION BACK TOGETHER AGAIN.  So, since part of the foundation is gone, they had to rethink their plan. Well Hahn came in but, she hasn't been of any help to the story lines as far as I can see. (I'm just not impressed)

    For me she still is second best to Burke. Now that we have McKidd  I see great things happening with him and Cristina. He is just like Burke as far as Confidence, and acting ability. His presence will be seen and heard. He and Cristina will make an awesome couple. So, if crazy Shonda just lets Cristina/McHottie  do what they both do best, and let Mer/Der do what they do best play as the sexy loving couple they are. The rest of the show will fall into place. Then we can consentrate on Alex's past and Bailey's future.

    Even though I have enjoyed these past epis. I'm still not satisfied with what Shonda is doing with Mer/Der. This GREYS ANATOMY for me that means everything revolves around Mer/Der and Cristina/McHottie. These are the couples that mold this show.

    I'll talk later. The more I think about this the madder I get.
