New spoilers and speculation
Okay, well, here are some more things that I've picked up from the internet grapevine. Some of this is based on speculation based on what Kristin at e online/Ausiello have been saying. I'd post links, but there are too many things out there, so just look up their (Kristin/Ausiello's) columns and you'll find this. Otherwise, look on spoilerfix.com 1. Based on what Kristin has been saying, the general concensus, at TWoP at least, is that Mer will date both McVet and McDreamy. Yes, at the same time. As to whether she sleeps with McVet after the prom: who knows? I just hope she showers first. 2. In the premiere, according to Ausiello, Izzie will get yelled at for hanging out with Denny's body in the morgue. 3. Episode 3, titled "Sometimes a Fantasy", has a guest star in ten-year old Abigail Brennan. Also, Mark Dane (MCSTEAMY) will be in this season, although I'm not sure about how long. 4. Ep titles and descriptions, according to spoilerfix: Episode 3.01: Time Has Come Today Airdate: September 21, 2006 * new 08/18 - Izzie may be getting in even more hot water over Denny — if that's even possible. The buzz is that she'll get a tongue-lashing in the season premiere for hanging out with Denny's body in the morgue. Source: Ask Ausiello @ TV Guide * 07/29 - A new, possibly recurring African-American couple is introduced. Joe shakes off a proposition. A patient is caught shoplifting. Another asserts her independence. One doctor's admiration of a gay patient seems out of place. We will see flashbacks featuring a five-year-old Meredith. Source: SpoilerFix.com * 07/21 - I'm told that Diahann Carroll (aka Whitley Gilbert's mom on A Different World) is going to be the first new guest star on the show this year. Source: Kristin on E!Online Episode 3.02: Title Unknown Airdate: September 28, 2006 Episode 3.03: Sometimes a Fantasy Airdate: October 2006 * new 08/18 - I received a tip that there will be scenes shot in a bed-and-breakfast. Source: Ask Ausiello @ TV Guide * 08/09 - One child's constant visits are noted by a nurse. A patient cancels his surgery and leaves without informing his surprised doctor. Taylor, a patient suffering seizures, undergoes brain surgery with only hesitant support from his wife. But the results, while not fatal, are horrific. Two foster parents are met with suspicion. The staff attempts to show another patient what can result after unneeded surgery. Source: SpoilerFix.com 5. According to Patrick Dempsey, the love triangle will be over by episode 3. HOWEVER, I wouldn't take this too seriously, because the cast has been known to put foilers out there to mislead people. (Remember when Katherine Heigl said that Denny wouldn't be coming back in season 2? I'm sure she knew that he would be.) 6. At some point in the first five episodes, a patient will need plastic surgery because of burns. (I'm thinking: ENTER MARK.) My thoughts: - it's either Meredith and McDreamy or Meredith and McVet in the B&B, OR it's Callie and George (they can't get peace in the hospital or Intern House), or possibly...Addison and Mark. - Izzie doesn't get back into the program, but won't face legal action because the Chief covers up the whole LVAD thing (he did say in the finale that if this gets out, the hospital could lose its accreditation). I think it is possible that she'll go to another field, but...I'm thinking that this won't happen immediately. It seems too unrealistic, even for this show, for her to get a job halfway through the year and after losing her fiancee and quitting her job.... I think they'll give her "healing time" first. - Since Sara Ramirez is a regular now, I'm thinking she and George will be together for a while. Okay, sorry for the ridiculous length of this, but comments, thoughts?Posted 8/18/2006 1:00:00 AM # -
New spoilers and speculation
I heard those in an article in the Pittsburgh post-gazette: http://www.post-gazette.com/pg/06203/707692-237.stm I'm just dying for some real spoilers.Posted 7/24/2006 1:00:00 AM # -
Izzie and Alex?
Okay, after all this talk about how Alex gave syph to Olivia who gave it to George...I'd laugh if Izzie got syph, too. Things would have really come full circle.Posted 7/22/2006 1:00:00 AM # -
Denny Hater?
Okay, I hated Denny from the very beginning. He seemed like such a creepy letch, you know? He looked old enough to be Izzie's uncle or something, so I hated, hated, hated it whenever the two of them were flirting together and everything. I don't think I'll ever forgive the writers for totally assassinating Izzie's character-- I mean, what the hell? She's playing scrabble and having picnics and LYING IN HIS BED WITH HIM. That being said, Dizzie totally won me over in "17 Seconds". I'm not a shipper, but I loved that episode and the two that followed it. I can't even listen to "Somewhere a Clock is Ticking" by Snow Patrol anymore without thinking of her cutting the cord, and Burke getting shot, and it's a really great song. I kind of miss it, you know? Anyway, maybe now that Denny's dead, I can go back to liking Izzie again. She used to be one of my favourite characters, before she went all unprofessional and psycho and threw away her career.Posted 7/22/2006 1:00:00 AM # -
Nitpicking Grey's Anatomy
I realised we didn't have a topic for this, and since I just rewatched "17 Seconds" and have a couple of, well, issues with it, I thought I'd post them here. And most of them have to do with Izzie cutting the LVAD. 1. An LVAD just helps the heart beat stronger, it doesn't make it beat. Anyway, even after cutting the cord, a person's heart would keep beating for a couple of hours, thanks to the other meds and the fact that an LVAD is also backed up by a BATTERY. 2. WOuldn't Izzie have been electrocuted or something after cutting an electric cord with a pair of metal scissors? 3. I get that Izzie was all bats**t crazy by this point, but wouldn't it have been easier for her to just, I don't know, unplug it? Or detach him from it? Why would she cut the cord and not only end her career but risk going to jail? 4. There's no way that Denny wasn't under close observation by the nurses on his floor after his transplant. The minute that a nurse saw an intern go into a patient's room that wasn't her own and close the blinds, they'd have gone in there to find out what the hell was going on. 5. There's no way that nobody heard Izzie screaming outside that room. No way in hell. Now don't get me wrong. I love this show and I love love love this episode. And I loved the drama of Izzie going insane and cutting the LVAD. But there are some things, like these, which really annoy me at times. I get that they needed this for her character, but come on. Do you guys have any nitpicks?Posted 7/22/2006 1:00:00 AM # -
New spoilers and speculation
I thought I'd open a thread where we could discuss any new spoilers coming in, and I'm sure that they'll start any time soon. Here's what I've heard about season 3: - The premiere starts a couple of hours after the finale left off, NOT at the exact moment. This makes me think that they'll only tell us who Meredith "chose" (although it's obviously Finn, since Chris O'Donnell is back for 2 to 6 episodes next season) at the very end. - The cast started filming last week-- but they shot the second episode before the first, so I don't think that even they know what happens. I just really want to know what happens to Izzie, because that was the real cliffhanger to me. I could care less about McDreamy/Mer/McVet/Addison and their Quadrangle of Doom.Posted 7/22/2006 1:00:00 AM # -
Izzie
I think Izzie's one of those people who bottles things up and comes off as angry/pissed off until she finally cracks. I'm basing this theory on the fact that, well, this is exactly what she did when Alex slept with Olivia. And yeah, this is worse, but most people deal with grief/heartbreak the same ways over and over again. I just hope that the writers don't have 1-2 episodes of her wallowing in her grief and then all of a sudden she's totally fine and it's as if nothing happened. I hate it when people do that on TV, because in real life, grief doesn't go away in a week.Posted 7/21/2006 1:00:00 AM # -
Denny & Izzie
I actually hated Dizzie throughout their entire relationship- I was so frustrated that Izzie would just throw her whole career away for some dude she'd only just met, and that she was compromising her credibility as a doctor-- until, that is, I saw "17 Seconds". Then they totally won me over. I actually loved Izzie's "do this for me" rant, and I get how she turned all Psycho!Izzie when she realised that Denny might die. But whatever, right? Because Denny's dead. I just hope Izzie doesn't get back with Alex in episode 3 of the new season.Posted 7/21/2006 1:00:00 AM #
