  1. A Change Is Gonna Come

But can't we just have the basics AND MerDer? I mean MerDer is the basic element of the show. It is the reason I believe I am so emotionally attached. Yes I know the other characters play a critical role in my attachment as well, but MerDer is what I hold on to most! =/

  2. If they seriously kiss I will officially stop watching!

Gloria.... I pray the whole Nick Lachey thing is bogus. That would be ridiculous.

  3. Mer/Der

I will agree that Addison changed a lot over the course of the season. After she got over the fact that Meredith was a part of Derek's life, I think she even became likable!

I am in agreement with all of you. I can not handle anything remotely close to Lexie/Der right about now. I'm mad enough that it looks like MerDer might be on a hiatus (which I think is tragic), but to bring Lexie in the picture with Derek...I don't think Shonda would do this. The backlash of such a chain of events would be so much that I truly believe many people would stop watching the show. Also, give me a break...it's a little unrealistic for Derek to forget about his feelings for Meredith and then do something like that. I just don't see it happening, everyone would just hate Derek. So, here's to hoping that MerDer braves it out!

McDreamy02, I agree. I think the focus will still be on our newly turned residents, but since George is repeating his intern year, of course they have to introduce new interns. I don't believe they will play a central role in the show, however. Change is going to come...and I as well as all of you wonder how far that change is going to go. Maybe change because they are no longer interns, but residents? Change because Burke is gone? Maybe Meredith will finally find her passion and confidence in a relationship and not continue to "leave" Derek whenever she pleases as he mentioned in the finale. Maybe her Lexie and her will bond and she will help her discover this? Who knows. But what I do know is that I can not wait until that first episode in September!

Wow, that video... the stare down at the prom is so classic. And the elevator scene's where Derek comes behind her and just pulls in close and smells her hair. They belong together, lol!

  8. Season 4 Episode 1

Hi everyone! I'm Drew and this is my first post... I am new to Grey's Anatomy and basically had never seen the show until I saw the pilot on Memorial Day and in the month following I have watched all 3 seasons. I just saw the season 3 finale, read Shonda's blog, listened to the podcast, and read all 128 pages of the finale thread. Needless to say, I'm a bit depressed and need to let my emotions out, lol. MerDer: I absolutely love them together. I feel that Meredith and Derek belong together, and in the episodes where things are going well they just look so happy. I truly hope "burning down the house in order to bring it back up again" applies to their relationship as well in Season 4 and beyond. Also, I have been reading what a lot of you ladies have had to say about PD, especially his acting in moments such as the screen in the finale where he professes his love for Meredith. I am a completely straight male, but I must admit that there is just something endearing about the way Derek looks and smiles at Meredith and the way he says things. He is truly a great actor. That scene, btw, was great. (Except for the whole Meredith not reacting as we all would have wanted part). It pained me to hear Shonda say in the blog that Meredith may have meant everything was over when standing at the altar and also that "Where [Derek's] going next season is going to be interesting to watch". I have the highest hopes for MerDer, but it does not sound good and I'm really hoping it's not true. What can I say, I'm a hopeless romantic. As for Season 4 coming up, I do worry about what happens when Lexie and Derek get introduced on the job. They obviously found each other attractive at the bar... so who knows how Derek will react. At this point in time I know he deeply cares for Meredith and don't think he would do anything about it, but it still worries me seeing as the writers of the show seem to not want Meredith and Derek together! George/Callie: I'm curious to see what will happen with him. We know he's coming back, I just wonder how the storyline will play out. Was the score a mistake? Will he repeat his intern year if not? Only time will tell. And about Callie. I just don't like her, or them together, period. I hated the episodes where she would get mad at him for being supportive of his friends. They were there long before her and she should understand that. As for the love triangle with Izzie... I still haven't decided how I feel about that, lol. Burke/Christina: It's sad how it seems to have ended, but in light of the off-air controversy with IW it looks like maybe it really is the end. Sorry for the excruciatingly long post, but I have seen 50 episodes in less than 10 days (Seasons 2 and 3), and watching the finale was just so painful that I had to let it out. I look forward to becoming a regular poster on the forum; I love how everyone here loves the show and makes me feel like I'm not the only one who is in love with these characters!
