Some Kind of Miracle
I agree, Rose, about the I love yous. They are sure few and far between. Burke said it once in the I am Preston Burke scene. Cristina said it once while he was sleeping after the bomb scene. Meredith told Derek once when she was asking him to pick her, I think, and Derek told her he was in love with her forever. That's it as far as I can tell. Isn't that pathetic. I would love for Burke to have told Cristina he loved her when he asked her to marry him and for her to have said it back when she accepted the proposal. Last night Derek definitely needed to tell Meredith that he loved her. I wasn't even real happy with the spooning. When Burke and Cristina spoon, he wraps his arms around her and pulls her tight against him. There was space between Derek and Meredith. I think it represents the unresolved issues around this drowning that they will deal with after the hiatus. He still thinks she didn't fight to live and that has to hurt him. I have no doubt they will work it out, but I think that space was evident and actually there for a reason.Posted 2/24/2007 1:00:00 AM # -
Some Kind of Miracle
I agree Marie777. I think there is a lot of spirituality between the lines throughout Greys. I didn't mind this limbo of sorts where Meredith talked to the dead people. If you believe in an afterlife, it can be comforting, but if you don't we do know that the mind can do remarkable things. Who knows what hallucinations you might see when you are near death. I kind of like the idea that the spirits of people important to us are there when we die. I'm not sure why it would have been Denny and Dylan or Bonnie and Liz Fallon, but I was sure glad to see Doc.Posted 2/24/2007 1:00:00 AM # -
Some Kind of Miracle
Well, by the time I was able to get on the forum, you were all gone. I have had real difficulty getting on. Hope to talk to all of you tomorrow.Posted 2/24/2007 1:00:00 AM # -
New BURKTINA, PRESTINA, BANG!
Hi Guys. I can finally get on the forums. It has been days and days. Hey Cadiex, I liked that too that Cristina was able to talk about the way she walked away after Burke got shot and couldn't deal with it. It shows she is opening up to him even more and is better able to share her thoughts. But, you know what I liked even more? He has forgiven her. He said she was there when it mattered or counted or something like that. That made me happy, too. They really need to get married. I am so ready for happy Bang.Posted 2/24/2007 1:00:00 AM # -
New BURKTINA, PRESTINA, BANG!
I agree skoda. I was ticked off about that, too. But, I loved the scene in the bar when Burke so clearly got it that Cristina was her best girlfriend and that she would never forgive herself if she wasn't there for Meredith. I also loved that it still bothered her that she wasn't there for him when he needed her most after he was shot and what was even better, he obviously has forgiven her. That was a powerful scene.Posted 2/22/2007 1:00:00 AM # -
New BURKTINA, PRESTINA, BANG!
Well I did it again. I let the spoilers and speculation and nay sayers get to me. I knew in my head weeks ago that the only one who could logically die was Ellis. I even said weeks ago that she would meet Meredith some place between life and death and they would have resolution between them and Meredith would know her mother loved her. In my head I knew that is what would happen. But, in my heart I have been a nervous wreck that Burke would die this week. Now I am happy. He is still alive and Cristina confirmed they are getting married yet again. So, let them go on hiatus. I am looking forward to a fantastic wedding before the end of the season. The one thing that still bothers me most is the lack of intimacy between them this season. I miss snuggles and kisses. Do you know there have only been five scenes of Burke and Cristina kissing in three seasons. Come on, Shonda!Posted 2/22/2007 1:00:00 AM # -
Some Kind of Miracle
I loved the moment between Meredith and Cristina, too. I also loved the moment between Burke and Cristina in the bar. I love that he understood that she would never forgive herself if she did not come back to the hospital to say goodbye to her best friend. He obvioulsy understood the whole, she's my person thing after all. If he hadn't talked her into coming back she would not have been there to insist they try again. I also loved in that powerful scene between them that she showed she still feels guilty that she was not there for Burke after he was shot. But the best part was he obviously has forgiven her. He said she was there when it mattered most. And the absolute best was that she confirmed yet again that she is going to marry Burke. Hooray!! I am so looking to a spring wedding. It was great that both Burke and Cristina were in the room when Meredith's heartbeat became a blip on the screen and then gained strength.Posted 2/22/2007 1:00:00 AM # -

I agree with marilovesgreys, Bayfront, awesome description and it was so beautifully stated. Marilovesgreys, you are among friends, trust me on this. Purplemerder is a working adult with a child and I am a working adult with multiple children. I think there are some in high school on our thread all the way up to someone who mentioned she or he was 60. So, there is a wide range. I am personally just a few years older than Isaiah. It's a mixed group which is part of what makes it fun and interesting. I think bayfront is right, some of the younger fans don't quite get Burke, maybe some of the older ones, too. They see him as one dimensional and don't get the subtleties. Some do though. Brianna that use to post on this thread is in high school and is a really big fan. I also think there are some who still have some issues with the interracial relationship, although they don't really come out and say so. I think they see him as more arrogant than I do. I see him as competent and skilled. Yes, there is the usual amount of arrogance that someone who has lives in his hands has to feel to do his job, but I don't resent the arrogance or think that it is any greater than Addison's or Derek's or certainly Mark's. Like bayfront, I see it as a part of what makes him interesting and attractive rather than something to hold against him. Burktinaforever is a huge Cristina fan. Being from Canada Sandra Oh is very special to her. I am a huge Isaiah fan. Together we both love Bang.Posted 2/14/2007 1:00:00 AM # -

Hi Cadiex, I loved that scene after the date, or actually I guess during the date. He tells her she can handle the saw and she says, "You won't let me order the wine, but this you'll let me do", it was so cute. The love for her in his eyes when he is guiding her and looks down on her just melts me every time. That is such a sweet scene and afterwards when they go out to tell the girlfriend or wife that the surgery was successful and she says they were lucky that B and C were having dinner at the same restaurant, the look they exchange is so sweet. It is kind of like they are acknowledging for themselves that they are a really great team in and out of the operating room. Great scene. Now it makes me want to go back and rewatch. I think it was season two episode 8.Posted 2/14/2007 1:00:00 AM # -
New BURKTINA, PRESTINA, BANG!
Burketinaforever, I don't know. I wish I did. Isaiah seemed really happy when he was telling Melissa Rivers that there would be wedding(s). He really seemed to be telling us that it would be Bang. I hope so. Shonda likes to play mind games with us. I think if there is going to be a Bang wedding that she will put us through the wringer before it happens. I dont think they will break up. If they survived hand tremor/betrayal (from his perspective) they can certainly survive "I told about the engagement when you asked me not to tell." I just wish, like bangfan, that they could communicate better. She would understand if he just said, "Derek was confiding in me about Meredith and I felt like it was safe to confide in him, too. It seemed the right thing to do at the time and I am so proud that we are engaged. I wanted to tell my friend about it, too." I think she would understand. But he doesn't ever explain himself. Maybe that is a man thing. He just gets haughty and counter attacks. She does the same thing. I am sure that the engagement won't go smoothly. Shonda always keeps that little edge going between them so that we don't get to complacent. But under it all, they love each other and are meant to be together. I think Shonda is a bit of a romantic. She will keep them together over the long haul. I'm pretty sure of that.Posted 2/14/2007 1:00:00 AM #
