Hi Juju, I was kind of sad that Ellis died, but couldn't conceive of anyone else dying on the show. They are all necessary. It is sad to have alzheimers though so if your mind is dead maybe you would just as soon be dead. It was a pretty powerful scene, even though a brief one, between Meredith and her mother. I also liked the scene between Ellis and the Chief. Well actually just the Chief saying his goodbyes. It was very sad.Posted 2/24/2007 1:00:00 AM # -

I agree, Burktina Forever, I would like to have seen more Burke and Cristina and especially at the end. But I was so glad he went to get her at the bar and I was glad he was in the room with her when Meredith's heartbeat started again. I was glad she could see that he was trying his best to help her friend live. I was also glad he was not there when Ellis died so that no one could blame him for that. I was a little disappointed that Derek wasn't in the room when Meredith opened her eyes and said her first word. I think they still will have some issues to overcome after all of this. He thinks she tried to kill herself. He's going to have to come to some understanding about that. It was a good episode, I thought. Lots of good moments. The chief was good in this episode, too. I think when he was remembering that he promised Ellis he would look out for Meredith and was feeling paternal, but I don't believe she was his daughter. I think she was already born when they began their affair. But, I could be wrong about that.Posted 2/24/2007 1:00:00 AM # -

I know this isn't the popular stance, but I am really tired of Denny. I wasn't a fan of the Izzie/Denny storyline to begin with. It seemed too quick and too unrealistic, plus I wanted Izzie with Alex at the time and Denny got in the way. I really just kind of wish they would leave him in the past and let Izzie move on with her life. I was also a little surprised about Nurse Fallon. I guess she was there because she was Ellis's scrub nurse. It would have been a nice touch to have Ellis walk towards her after she left Meredith. I connect Nurse Fallon with Burke and Cristina because that was when I think Burke started to fall for her. He saw her attachment to Nurse Fallon before anyone else saw her emotional side.Posted 2/24/2007 1:00:00 AM # -

McDempsey2, I do think that Izzie and Alex will get back together. Did you catch his hand on her shoulder when they were looking in on Meredith after she was revived? I think they were heading towards an Addison/Alex thing until they made the decision for the Addison spin off. They won't want Alex to leave with Addison because he is one of the five interns who are at the heart of GA. I'm not in favor of the spin off. It is getting to be a big cast, but spin offs seldom turn out half as good as the original.Posted 2/24/2007 1:00:00 AM # -

Addison and Mark should try to work through things. He really does love her, I think. He just is flawed, as he says. She knows him better now. I really think Addison will have a harder time with the moratorium on sex than Sloan will.Posted 2/24/2007 1:00:00 AM # -

Hi Burktina Forever. I think your theory about why Cristina became a surgeon is right on target. Do you think she was living with her father at the time or just visiting? I remember in an earlier episode she talks about her mother remarrying when shew as three. If her father didn't die until she was nine, they must have been divorced quite a while. I loved the camping episode, too. Chief with his little suitcase on wheels cracked me up. Plus didn't they all look so manly? Burke, Derek, Alex. All looked like manly men in their fishing gear. There should be lots of nominations for emmys for the cast of Grey's next year. Sandra Oh was fantastic in this three part series and she also rocked in the Thanksgiving episodes about the hand tremor. She is just an amazing actress. I don't know that Ellen will be nominated for this since she was dead for most of it, but she had a wonderful performance the week when her mother called her ordinary. The actress was anything but ordinary in that episode. I thought Patrick Dempsey was great in the second of this three part story line. His grief and helplessness were palpable. I also thought Isaiah was great in the hand tremor episodes and TR was great in the episode when Mr. O'Malley died. There could be lots of nominations. Plus, Chandra Wilson is great all of the time. Last year in the scenes when she gave birth she probably shown the most though. I am waiting for a really big episode for Alex. He is due.Posted 2/24/2007 1:00:00 AM # -

Here's where I think the show will go now, JuJu. I think we will see the Chief step down as Chief, but not leave entirely. he will stay on as a surgeon. Bailey will be Chief Resident, whatever that means. Addison and Mark will reunite and leave at the end of the year for Manhattan and work somewhere else but I think there will be some visiting back and forth. Burke will be made Chief. Burke and Cristina will get married and their wedding will be the highlight of the upcoming episodes with Derek and Meredith playing a key role in the ceremony. Callie will get pregnant just about the time that George thinks he made a mistake so they will stay together and weather it out and hopefully fall in love for real. Alex will become attached to the patient, shades of Izzie and Denny, but ultimately when she regains her memory they will find her family but Alex will have new understanding for why Izzie crossed the line and I think they will find their way back together. I think Derek and Meredith will spend the next several episodes figuring out what happened these last three. But, I do think at the end of this season he is going to propose, maybe at Burke and Cristina's wedding, and the cliff hanger will be whether or not she says yes which we won't find out until the fall.
