New BURKTINA, PRESTINA, BANG!
Hi Rose and Burktinaforever, I seem to always be here when you are not. One of these days we will be on line at the same time. I miss purplemerder. Do you think she will join us on this new thread for Burke and Cristina. I know she was very disappointed in Isaiah over the Golden Globes thing, but I hope she will come talk with us about Burke and Cristina. I hope she's not too worried about Meredith and Derek because they are definitely going to be together for the long haul, too.Posted 2/12/2007 1:00:00 AM # -

I don't think anyone will actually see Denny except for Meredith.Posted 2/12/2007 1:00:00 AM # -

I agree with Summer. I think the one who dies, if anyone does, will be Ellis. Someone earlier said that it would be redundant to have her mother die when George just lost his father, but on the other hand if there is no hope for Ellis, if the Chief really has moved on, it might be the right time to have Ellis leave the show. It might change the dynamic between Meredith and her father. I keep expecting Meredith's other step sister to appear at some time, too. The one who is in Harvard medical school. There could be a whole story arc about Meredith and her father's new family including the step sister who is a doctor.Posted 2/12/2007 1:00:00 AM # -

Hi jherold. I loved Burke in this episode. I loved the scene when they first come in and Burke and Cristina are smiling and happy and holding hands. Very cute. I love the scene on the elevator with Chief and all four attendings. It was so nice to see him smile and even laugh. Plus, I love him in those glasses. I loved the scene with Derek when they confided about their challenging girlfriends. I don't think he was being a jerk. He is still very insecure when it comes to Cristina. He loves her so much and still worries that it isn't reciprocated so he worries why she wouldn't want everyone to know and why she didn't tell Meredith. I don't think he was punishing her by asking her to take care of his cardiac patients. In a way it was a honor for him to trust her to do that. And, the same way that Callie needed to remind George that at work she is his boss, Burke kind of needed to remind Cristina that at work he is still her boss. He was in a way testing her to make sure that this was not going to be a problem. I think she handled it really well. So, no, I didn't think he was a jerk. I thought he was completely just being Burke and I love the character.Posted 2/12/2007 1:00:00 AM # -

Maybe Meredith dies, but is brought back to life in the third part of the series. I think the spoilers only get the scoop about one episode at a time. I don't think any of the main characters are going to be dead.Posted 2/12/2007 1:00:00 AM # -

I still think Ellis Grey. Kristen said it was a main character when they killed off Mr. O'Malley, too.Posted 2/12/2007 1:00:00 AM # -

hot4dempsey. I really wish you would get off of the killing off Burke kick. This has gone on for way too long and you have been one of the worst offenders. They just made a huge deal about how Isaiah is a major part of a major story line that has already been shot so it would be very difficult for the writers if he were to be written off of the show. I think they are referring to the wedding for later in the season. They are now making public statements about how everyone is now getting along and how much Isaiah Washington wants to remain on the show and all of the steps that he has taken to make amends with his castmates and the gay community. Kristen said this was something that everyone said they would never do. How many supposed fans, like you, have been saying they will kill Burke off for months now. Does that sound to you like something that people think could never happen? I would be willing to bet it is not Burke just based on that fact alone that it will be something shocking. It is also not George since they just made a huge deal about how he is returning after this season. I still think it will be Meredith but that she will not be gone for good. I think she dies in the second part and is revived in the third. They like to play mind games with us. Only time will tell, but I hope with all of my heart that you are dead wrong.Posted 2/12/2007 1:00:00 AM # -

"Alright. I have never posted and hardly read these forums, but this conversation has been so sad, and I’m feeling maternal toward you all, so here’s my theory (enhanced by my recent find that next week’s episode is entitled “Some Kind of Miracle”). I think that Meredith is going to “die,” and then be revived, and in her death experience, she is going to see Denny (and, based on spoilers floating around on the internet) probably some other characters who have died on the show in the past." This is exactly what I have been saying.Posted 2/12/2007 1:00:00 AM # -

“What I can tell you is that (1) there is a death this week, (2) there is another death next week, and (3) one of those deaths will stick.” Okay this tells us that one of the deaths won't stick. I think it will be Meredith this week, Ellis next week, and that Meredith will be revived, but Ellis will be gone.Posted 2/12/2007 1:00:00 AM # -

Thanks for posting the link, burketinafan4life. It doesn't look good for Meredith, but then the promos often confuse us.Posted 2/12/2007 1:00:00 AM #
