HI gang have not been around much probably because of my lost of interesy in GA. Seems that the life of a retiree is more full then I thought it would be. Just wanted to say hi and wish you all a great holiday season. BF I totally agree with you and the K freaking Heigl blabla. It is only about her isn'it. She wants to be in the limelight like we say she wants to be the bellybutton of the world. KH for me has no class and is always at the edge of vulgarity. Really don't like her never did never will. EP's awards are soo much better compared to the GG SAG Emy's and all the rest of those highly "commercialized" awards. She is appreciated by people who really know what acting is. Cheers,

Hi gang, Have been very buzzy that's the life of a retired woman... my mom is doing great and now I have one of my friends who is hospitalized (4 weeks tomorrow) so I feed her cat daily 20 minutes from home, visit her once a week do her laundry. It is a long story to make it short she had surgery 9 months ago on her femoral bone never felt good. Went to another hospital and when they opened her up had to stop the new surgery due to bacterial infection catched apparently in the first hospital. A few days more and she might have been amputated. I should propose her story to Shonda!!!! Lucky for her she is well insured now she is blocked in bed for 6 weeks before they can operate again. Definitely a case for Shonda. Hafsa and Gloria I stopped trying to understand Shonda for me she is a very frustrated woman who is not happy and will never be. Before GA was she really a very well know writer I don't think so. Did you ever see her smile? Read this and it probably explains a lot Rhimes initially struggled to find a writing or production gig after graduation. For a time, she lived with her sister in San Francisco and worked in advertising. Later, she worked as an office administrator, and then as a counselor at a job center that taught mentally ill and homeless people job skills. Rhimes has said that of all of the Grey's Anatomy characters, her own personality is best represented by the character of Meredith; however, she also draws some similarities with the no-nonsense natures of Miranda Bailey and Cristina Yang.

Hi Ausfan, Do you watch All Saints since the early days? If yes have you also seen so many similarities between the 2 shows except for the love stories. I know it is based on real hospital life but it seems that the elevator is popular in both series!!! Over here hospital elevators are always crowded no time for kissing discretely. lol

II was talking with Irish and we both agreed that by talking about our wishes and disappointements with the Mer/Der relation we are just playing the game of manipulative Shonda. If we just ignored that specific relation where would she get her kick? What do you think? As for the strike if a lot of shows end because of the strike doesn't that mean less work for the writers? and less income of course? This is interesting : When the Writers Guild of America went on strike beginning at 12:01 yesterday morning, it initiated a sequence of events that will have a domino effect on America's viewing audiences. Ultimately, the legacy of a prolonged strike could reduce the audience for network TV at a time when it has already been losing viewers for years to cable, DVDs and the Internet. Numbers from May 2007 show that the combined viewership of the four major broadcast networks - ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox - dropped by 2.5 million from the previous spring. The writers want to be paid when their work is viewed via the Internet; the producers say it's too early to say how profitable such media will prove to be and want to revisit the issue later. Fans of late-night programming will be the first to feel the pangs of withdrawal. Many of the shows went into reruns beginning last night. If the strike lasts into January or early February - as many observers think it will - network soap operas could run out of scripts. Later, prime-time drama and comedy series could turn to reruns or be replaced by news, reality or game shows.

Me too I've had it -- it all started like a dream serie and ends as a nightmare. Like my mom says "it is better to suffer from love than not having known love" OK it is a translation but that's how I feel and I promised myself that this was the one and only time I got hooked on a serie it will never happen again.

STRIKE a word that I hate. So this might be the end of S4 of GA... never understood the principle of a strike. Those strikers will loose a lot of money no? How many years before they recuperate it? Bad calculation! In Europe we might be more "social" then in the US but a strike would never end a show for the rest of the year!! On the other hand it is a slap in the face of Shonda no?
