You know, the more I think about it, it was just the way the whole article was worded that has upset everybody. Starting out by saying everybody will be walking out the door with TR Knight. Eventually. Why even make a comment like that? I truly think the whole issue here is that everybody will be there the remaining (2) years on their contract and from now until then SHonda is trying to think about each character and decide where they are going and alot of that will probably depend on the actor and if they will stay longer than the 7 seasons. Lets hope that is all this was, just Shonda thinking out loud and if we are lucky, everybody will stay for the duration of the show, which I hope will be several more years to come!.....Kathy
First of all, I hope that Grey's is on the air for MANY years to come! I hope that all of the actors will stay as long as the show lasts! I guess now that T.R. decided to leave, it has made Shonda realize that any of the actors at this point could decide to leave especially after their contract expires at the end of season 7. Then there will probably be alot of questions on who is staying and who is leaving at that point. As Shonda also stated, I'm sure she hopes that Ellen would stay for the duration of the show too, but I guess now that she is having a baby that she may decide to leave before then. I'm also wondering if Patrick is the actor that asked for alittle more free time and more of a creative role in the show. We all know that Patrick will be in a couple of movies coming up and possibly working on his on movie next summer, so you could see that he may want alittle more time to do these things especially since Ellen will be out for a short period maternity leave. I just hope that these two in particular decide to stay for the duration of the show and will still continue to have a big storyline.

greysaddiction: I really think that Mer/Der will be fine. I am still holding out for at least a proposal if not a surprise wedding! I just can't imagine Shonda dangling that engagement ring in front of us Mer/Der fans for a couple of episodes and everyone talking about it in the hospital and then just not let it happen! That would be so cruel, don't you think? I'm thinking the next couple of episodes will be hard for Derek but I feel like Mer will be there for him and he is going to realize more than ever how much he loves Mer and that she loves him. I'm looking forward to seeing them together and working this out as a couple. I also think the name of the episode coming up called "Elevator Love Letter" is a great sign for Mer/Der fans. I think I also read recently from somebody like Auseillo that this was something good for Mer/Der fans, or something like that. I think that there will be a proposal like you said either in the elevator or maybe even a letter that Derek has written to Mer and he reads it to her in the elevator ( he wrote Addi a song, so he writes Mer a letter)or one of them finds a note to meet at Joe's in the elevator and thats where the proposal takes place.

I don't understand why there is so much negative publicity surrounding GA these days. Why is everyone thinking the worst about the show, the ratings the characters or about the actors! I think this is such a shame. It really makes me sad! I love Ga and have been a fan since day 1. This show has certainly had its ups and downs as any show would have. We are so lucky to have such a great cast of actors that come together each week and entertain us on Thursdays. The thoughts of any of them leaving is tragic to me. I certainly hope that this news isn't true about anyone leaving. I feel that what makes this show the #1 show that it is is by the help of each one of the cast members. But, if it is true and any of them do decide to leave, I'm sure that the show will go on and I'll be there to watch it. Mer/Der are my favorites but I would hate to see anyone leave. I also thought their contracts were for 7 years. I thought I heard PD and EP say that either in an interview or read in an article somewhere. Maybe each one has a different contract. Like greysaddiction said, lets just wait and see until the actors themselves confirm it or ABC. Lets keep our fingers crossed that it doesn't happen! Lets be supportive and hope our show will be around for years to come!
What a relief! I have to admit, I was really worried after seeing that promo! I trusted Derek not to kiss her, but it looked so real. So, then I was thinking what kind of explanation would Derek have for that? How could any of us forgive him for doing something so stupid! How could he love meredith and kiss ADDISON! See what I have been going through here! So, thankfully ABC realized that Mer/Der fans don't take that kind of stuff too lightly, don't play around with us like that! Nobody plays around with Mer/Der! Right? We have finally got this couple in a good place and we are ready to move them forward to a unforgettable proposal and wedding hopefully in the near future! So, now I can rest better at night knowing everything is well on the Mer/Der front! (ha)!
I love this picture of Meredith and Derek! It shows again just how much he truly loves her by the way he is hugging her so tight! I Love that! Which brings me back to the actors. Patrick and Ellen. As it has been said so many times before, they are perfect together and they awesomely present to the tv audience each week, better than any other couple that I have ever seen, the magic and unbelievable chemistry that these two share! As far as the engagement, I can't wait! I think that it is so sweet that Derek shares the news with everyone (it sounds like)and may get suggestions on how to pop the question to Meredith. I know that when or however he does it, it will probably be one of the most romantic scenes with Mer/Der. Like the candle scene finale from last year. I can't wait!
THis episode was GREAT! Especially, for us Mer/Der fans! They were seen together throughout the entire episode which was great. The beginning scene with them in bed was so sweet and naturally the working together is always good but the ending was terrific! Derek was so sweet to dance it out with Mer and so loving with the kissing and the holding her. I bet they had a ball filming that entire scene! There is no doubt Ellen laughed her head off at Patrick! They are just so good together! I also thought the remaining cast had good storylines as well. In other words it was a good overall episode as far as everyones screentime, I thought! I actually think it was my favorite Mer/Der episodes so far this season! Can't wait until next week, with Der's Mom and Meredith! I'm a very happy Mer/Der fan tonight! Kathy
He continues to tug at my heart with all the good he does and the kindness he shows for so many people! What a guy! I just love him! He just keeps getting "McDreamier"!
I thought tonight's episode was great. Glad George passed his exam. Mark is so funny to me. I really think he and Lexie will hook up later in the season. I'm glad Alex told Izzie what was going on with him and glad she stood up to him. I naturally loved the ending with Mer/Der. Finally, a kiss between these two. I know Shonda said even though they were together didn't mean happily ever after, but come on....let Meredith act happy that Derek has moved in and not get so upset with things he is doing at the house. I just don't get why Shonda really want let them act really happy. Sure they will have their ups and downs and fights but just let them be happy while they are moving forward with their relationship. I loved the kiss scene at the end, thats the Mer/Der we all remember and love. They acted so happy with each other. And I thought the trailer was a perfect place for Mer's get away.
I can't wait until the episode tonight! I think its going to be so good! Naturally, I can't wait to see the couch scenes with Mer/Der! As far as the odd couple, I think it could either be Callie/Hahn or Mark/Lexie. Seems like I read where the relationship between Callie/Hahn would be found out by different ones in tonight's episode or it could be Mark and Lexie because probably no one would think Mark would ever be interested in an intern??? I don't know though.
This episode really looks so good! Especially for us Mer/Der fans! The premier did not give us much Mer/Der time but it looks like this week will make up for it! All of the pics of Mer/Der are so cute but that one particular picture of Patrick hugging Ellen so tight with his eyes closed looks like he luvs her so much! I mean Derek and Meredith.... (ha) They have such great chemistry, I forget sometimes if its Mer/Der or PD/EP! (ha)
